Stampin’ Up! Versatile Christmas Poinsettia

Good morning, y’all.  Hope that you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to get the week going!

This was a busy weekend for me – we’re moving to a second shift schedule this week, meaning I’ll get back to the hotel each day around midnight. 🙁  For those of you who’ve been following me, you know that’s not my favorite work schedule!  I’m a 9pm bedtime kinda girl!  And, it really messes with my card making time.  So, I spent the weekend making cards so I’d be able to keep sharing something with you each day!

Today’s project is a Christmas card, featuring Versatile Christmas for the sentiments (Versatile Christmas is on the Retiring list – so if you want it, now’s the time!) and the beautiful Festive Flower punch.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Versatile Christmas, a Peaceful Pine and a Delicate Ornament To Trim the Tree!

Well?  How was Friday?  Did you go shopping?  Are you dropping?  Or did you…like I…hit the online stores?  Yea – I didn’t do as much as I needed to – and some of my purchases will not be popular with the ponies, but….I did some!  I hope that if you were out and about that you had fun!

I mentioned yesterday that if I were at home on the day after Thanksgiving, I’d have been decorating the house, putting up the tree, generally transitioning to full-blown Christmas!  Well, since I couldn’t be there doing that, I decided to do an homage to that activity with my card share for today.  So, I used some of the fun Home for Christmas DSP (which is retiring, so get it soon!!), a Delicate Ornament die cut, and a Peaceful Pines stamp.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Holly Christmas!

BLACK FRIDAY!

Good morning, all – are you recovered from your food comas??  Did you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving?  I want to thank you all for stopping by here yesterday for the Blog Hop, even in the midst of your family time!

I think there’s two kinds of people when it comes to the day after Thanksgiving.  There are those of you who’ve been in line at Walmart/Best Buy/The Mall/etc etc since 5 this morning.  And who will shop till you drop today and probably have all your Christmas shopping done by the end of the day.

That is not me.  Never has been!  I prefer to stay safely at home.  Preferably putting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations.  Thanksgiving is, for me, the starting gun for Christmas.  And, quite frankly, that’s the piece that’s making me homesick today.  I got to talk with my mom yesterday and my “second” family in GA – all at dinner, Wayne there with them.  And that was nice.  I very much miss the dinner festivities – and always wish my mom was there with us.  But Christmas dinner will come and we’ll do it then! (I know you’re reading this Mom – Clara WOULD ride in the airplane, you know!).

But, today, I’m not getting my house all blinged up for the holidays.  I’m in a hotel room in Arizona (I was in a hotel room in California for Thanksgiving last year!) And that makes me a little sad.  Of course, I’m also not cleaning my house – and that makes me feel pretty happy! 😉

Anywho – the point of that little rant is….get ready.  There’s going to be lots of Christmas cards coming your way in the next few weeks!  Like today!  I used the Holly Jolly Greetings bundle, a little Versatile Christmas (this one is on the Holiday Retiring List – so you need to get it soon if you want it!), and some Peaceful Wreath (also on the Retiring List!).  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Reason for the Season Festive Flower for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop!

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Good Blog-Hop-Thursday-Morning to y’all!  I hope you’re ready for some beautiful projects from all the Ladies-Who-Hop.  Yes – I know.  Those are the exact same words I used last week to open up the Blog Hop post.  Let’s call it our little tradition, shall we? 🙂

When this posts, I’ll be starting day 2 of my meeting here in Savannah.  Yesterday, we were done at 11:30.  Yes.  A.M.  After starting at the crack of 9 am.  I’m not entirely sure why day 2 wasn’t in the afternoon….but, not my meeting, so….I’ll spend another day in lovely Savannah!  Which I’m currently spending in my room.  I’ve got a show on the television playing in the background called Million Dollar Real Estate (Listing??) Los Angeles.  Have you ever seen it?  One realtor dude shows up in a different high dollar car – Porsche, Mercedes, Bentley – in almost every shot.  He did one deal where he made – HIS commission – $487,000.  Four Hundred.  Eighty Seven.  THOUSAND dollars.  In.  One.  Deal.

I’m definitely in the wrong line of work.

Of course, he has to drive around in Hollywood traffic.  So….there’s that.

He doesn’t seem to mind.

$487,000.  One deal.

Sheesh!!

On to the reason you’re here!  Today’s blog hop challenge was a color challenge – we were to use Mossy Meadow, Real Red and Very Vanilla.

5 Nov Happy Stamper Blog Hop challenge

Pretty darned perfect colors for a Christmas card, yes?  And even perfect-er for Home for Christmas DSP, Reason for the Season, and the Festive Flower punch.  Toldja you’d see a festive flower again this week! 🙂  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! A Little Peek at My Stamping Area….

Well, it’s Hump Day again – and this one has some big meaning!  Its arrival means that TWO sale specials are half-way over!  That means y’all need to get on the stick.  The way we live in a time warp, you’re going to wake up real soon and it’s going to be Saturday – and you’ll have missed your chance to get 15% off stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! AND extra free goodies from ME and then you’ll be doing the Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda’s!  Don’t be the one that wakes up Saturday and realizes that the ship has sailed!

Today was fun for me.  I worked (not fun so much) and during lunch and breaks….I set up my “new” craft area! 🙂  By which I mean…I set up my TWO new Stamp-N-Storage pieces!  Whoo-hoo!  They had a great 15% off sale last week (and they always have free shipping in the US) and I pulled the trigger on a Combo ink pad/marker/refill shelf and a Lock-Down Punch shelf!  When it arrived, Wayne pulled it out of the box for me – and he was very pleasantly surprised to see that both pieces were fully assembled.  And constructed of solid, clear plywood!  No presswood (aka “tis wood”).  He mentioned how nicely it was put together and how solid it is.  For him to be impressed is….well, impressive!

I ended up re-arranging my tables – I “live” in the living room (I don’t do well stuck off in a room by myself – I like to be out where Wayne is hanging) – and I like how it ended up.  There may be a few adjustments….but this is a good start!

Here’s the Combo piece – yes, I know – you’ve all been just sitting on the edge of your seats to see my crafting area! (be warned – I am not a tidy crafter!)

Stampin’ Up! To You and Yours Too….and a Little Versatile Christmas!

Monday Monday…. I don’t know the rest of the words to the song, sorry!  All I know is that the weekend flew by and it’s Monday again!  Wow.

It’s also getting so close to the holidays – Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner.  2016 will be here before we know it.  Have we entered a time warp?  Time is just flying by!

So, today’s share plays with a fun technique that I’ve seen around the net – Pinterest and other demo blogs.  The latest I saw was a video on how to create this look – the Northern Lights Stamping Technique – from Dawn Olchefske.  I watched her video and then gave it a try!  I used the To You and Yours Too stamp set.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Versatile Christmas Meets Wonderland

Good morning!  Happy Sunday – I hope that your weekend is going well!  Today’s share uses two stamp sets – Versatile Christmas and Wonderland.  I combined them with some Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum and Kraft Corrugated Paper, added a dash of Gold Foil and ended up with a card that has just a bit of glitz.  And uses a perennial favorite for me – pine cones!  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Hearth and Home for Christmas Make For a Fun Blog Hop!

Happy Stampers Blog Hop Banner

Welcome to the Happy Stampers Christmas in September Blog Hop!  I don’t know if you’ve arrived here directly or if you came from Sandi’s site, but I’m glad you’re here.  Hopefully you’ll enjoy all the offerings we have for you today!

So – for my part of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop this month, I did a super fun DOUBLE Gate Fold Card! What?!? DOUBLE GATE?!? Yep. That’s what I said. DOUBLE. GATE. (not to be confused with WATER. GATE.) Technically, it’s a Double Fold Gate Card but that wouldn’t have worked with my Watergate joke, so…..

I saw a tutorial on line for doing this kind of card, so I took the basic steps and made it work for what I wanted today!

I used some Hearth & Home Thinlits….a little bit of Home for Christmas DSP…..threw in a great sentiment from Versatile Christmas….and….well, take a look-see:
