Good morning, my peeps! I’m back early on a Saturday morning for week-two as a Guest Designer at the Just Us Girls Challenge!
When I saw our challenge, I took it as a clear sign that it was time for a good ole collage card. So, I decided this would be a good week to go all-in with the Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments bundles. And I do mean…ALL in! Take a look-see:

And – here’s the challenge we’re bringing you this week!

I hope my card will inspire you to get crafty and come on over to play with the Just Us Girls challenge! Looking forward to seeing what you create!
I also used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for some inspiration!

I started with some of the pretty striped paper from the Painted Poppies DSP and matted it on Basic Black for the card front. I used a different – solid green – pattern for the vertical stripe – also matted on Basic Black and adhered with Liquid Glue.
I matted a piece of Whisper White on Basic Black and added the sentiment from Peaceful Moments in Poppy Parade ink. Then I adhered the panel onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next, it was time to “grow” some flowers! First, I used the splatter image from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Flirty Flamingo all over a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock. Then I cut two solid flowers from the stamped card stock using the Poppy Moments Dies (which is bundled with the Peaceful Moments stamp set). I cut two outline flowers from Poppy Parade and adhered them to their flowers with Liquid Glue.
I cut several solid leaf shapes from Old Olive vellum – found in the Perennial Essence Vellum Pack (annual catalog). The detail leaves are cut in Mossy Meadow. I again used Liquid Glue to adhere all the pieces together.

I cut a few rosebuds from the stamped Flirty Flamingo and their stems from some of the dark green paper in the Painted Poppies DSP (same paper that I used on the vertical strip).
With all the pieces and parts built – it was time to build the collage. So…I laid it all out…

When I was happy with it I took the photo (above), then I picked up the “top” flower – and took another picture.

From there, I assembled the collage using Liquid Glue. I adhered the bow – which is two lengths of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine – with a Glue Dot.
Then I added the final flower with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Basic Black flower centers (cut with the dies in the Poppy Moments Dies) with Liquid Glue and some gold sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequin Assortment and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Peaceful Moments sentiment in Poppy Parade on a Whisper White panel. I added the Painted Poppies two-step flower images in Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo. A single gold Peaceful Poppies Sequin finished it off.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Painted Poppies flowers on the front…

…and more of the Peaceful Poppies DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Okay, y’all – how gorgeous is this double-bundle Suite?! The colors and the dies and and and…. simply stunning! Painted Poppies – with its Painted Labels dies – provide the images and the Peaceful Moments set with its Poppy Moments Dies adds sentiments and a plethora of die-cut florals for all your projects! I hope you like!
So – PSA! I’ll be live tonight at 7pm Eastern on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page. We’re going to make a fun little card using the new Beautifully Braided bundle. Take a sneaky peek!

Hope you’ll be able to join me! 🙂

On Fridays – a thing happens that both Finn and I LOVE.
For very different reasons.
Finn – because of the treats.
Me? Because of the clean, fresh-smelling house that happened without my help! 🙂
Yep – Friday is….Miss Sonya-Day!
And – Finn absolutely knows -“Miss Sonya is here”. He flies to the house from wherever we are to say hello and get the treats she always brings! 🙂
The downside – for him – is that he (I) has to pick up his toys on Friday morning, where they have to stay until she’s done mid-afternoon.
They go in the “toy bed” and he patiently-ish waits until it’s okay to start pulling them back out!

He peruses them all. Paws at them a bit – to seperate them and remind himself of how many he has (it’s a lot!).
Then – with one last pass – he picks THE one that will do for a few minutes.

Looks like Mr. Zombie made the cut today!
Won’t be a minute – they’ll all be strewn hither and yon across the living room.
Exactly. Like. A. Toddler. 😉
