Good morning! Hope this finds you well and that your week is progressing smoothly towards the weekend! 🙂
I decided that another quick and easy card was called for and had been wanting to play with the pretty Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP (it’s on sale right now so I can even re-stock and save some money, honey!). I combined it with a couple of die cut doilies from the stand-alone Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder and some prettiness from the Inked & Tiled stamp set. Take a look-see:
The interesting layout is from the MFT Sketch Challenge this week/
I started by adhering a piece of Lost Lagoon paper from the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on a Crushed Curry mat for the card front.
Using the large die in the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder – I cut out two Crushed Curry doilies.
I cut out two pieces of the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP with the largest Stylish Shapes circle die and adhered them to the two doilies using Liquid Glue.
Using a Paper Trimmer, I cut each of the matted shapes down to 2″ wide and then adhered them to the top and bottom of the card front using Liquid Glue.
With a Stylish Shapes label die, I cut a Crushed Curry label and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it to the Crushed Curry label with a Glue Dot.
I stamped the Inked & Tiled sentiment in Calypso Coral on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with the smallest Stylish Shapes label die.
Using double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the Linen Thread bow.
I added a few Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the flower from Inked & Tiled in Lost Lagoon – stamping it twice on a piece of Very Vanilla without re-inking – and once in Calypso Coral ink. Then I added the splatter image a few times in Crushed Curry.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Calypso Coral card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Inked & Tiled images on the front…
…and more of the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Inked Botanicals DSP creates an old-fashioned color palette, I think, especially with the die cut Crushed Curry Delightful Doilies! The Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder is one of those stand-alone die sets and it includes a cool 3D Embossing Folder that works with the dies…
…and I really like the florals and sentiments in the Inked & Tiled stamp set, don’t you!?
