‘Sup, y’all! So – I heard last night on the tv that – apparently…working from home is a GOOD THING!
Duh! Been doing that for a bunch of years now – and I can attest to the truth of that statement! Working from home is awesome!
There are some things you have to get used to – and you DO have to be disciplined enough to do the work, but…pajamas. No makeup. Bed head.
Like I said – DUH!!
My card for today has nothing whatsoever to do with working from home. Other than the fact that I was at home while I made it!
It’s another Easter card – I realized today that my count is low. And…all of a sudden I have to MAIL them instead of hand-delivering them at dinner next Sunday. 🙁 So I pulled out the sweet little Welcome Easter stamp set and some soft Springy-Easter colors. Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

The color scheme is courtesy of the current Cupcake Inspiration challenge.

Finally – it was handy that the Global Design Challenge was right up my alley this week!

I started with a piece of Petal Pink card stock that was the same size as the front of my card base. I embossed it in the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of my Petal Pink card base.
To create the diagonal panel, I used some removable glue dots (it comes on a runner) to tack a piece of Petal Pink Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP to a So Saffron mat. I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the diagonal of both pieces at the same time. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the pieces together with the correct spacing.

I used more Liquid Glue to adhere the matted pieces to a Balmy Blue mat to create the card front.
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the adorable chick from the Welcome Easter stamp set in Basic Gray ink. I colored him (her?) with my So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Combo – and a little Dark Mango Melody Blend. I added some bees in Basic Gray and colored them with my Light So Saffron and Smoky Slate Blends.
Then I cut the chick with a circle Stitched Shapes die.

I cut a Balmy Blue scalloped circle with the Layering Circles Dies. Then I adhered the art to the scalloped mat and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a double-length simple bow from Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the Welcome Easter sentiment in Balmy Blue on Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die. Then I added another bee – just cuz they’re so stinkin’ cute!!
I popped it onto the card front – slightly overlapping the art – with Dimensionals, and – that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second Welcome Easter sentiment in Balmy Blue on a Whisper White panel. Then I added the little chick and some bees!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to So Saffron and Balmy Blue mats and into the Petal Pink card base, adhered the card front with more Liquid Glue and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more chick-n-bees….that’s not a thing. Except it is on my envelope front…

…and a little more of the Petal Pink Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! The images in the Welcome Easter stamp set are truly adorable – and the sentiments mean it will work for Easter OR to welcome a new baby!

I hope you like! And…have all YOUR Easter cards ready to mail or already out the door! 😉
