Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “Celebrate”! We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I decided to celebrate friendship – and I did it with the cool new Country Bouquet Bundle – and (again!) – the Country Floral Lane DSP! I got some inspiration from a couple of samples in the catalog for this gorgeous Suite! Take a look-see:
Good morning! Happy Valentine’s Day – are there romantic plans in your future? And – it’s ALSO a three-day weekend! I don’t know about y’all – but…three day weekends – when it’s cold and yucky outside – just aren’t that exciting! There should be more of them later in Spring when the weather is pretty and we WANT to be outside doing things. I think we need to combine chocolate (Valentine’s Day) with an acknowledgment that it’s nasty outside – and…snuggle down with some hot chocolate, a warm dog (or kitty!) and a good book!! Who’s with me?

For this card, I used the undeniably adorable Hey Chick stamp set and bundled Chick Dies – with a little 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP. Take a look-see:
I started by matting a piece of Bumble Bee paper from the 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on Old Olive for the card front.
Next, I used the die in the Chick Dies to cut two chicken-wire die cuts. I trimmed one down a bit and then adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue. Tip: I like the ends of things to “fall” off the edge of the card front a little – so…I placed the card front onto my card base (not adhered) so that I could be sure it hung over just enough – but NOT past the edges of the card base.
I cut the largest oval Stitched Shapes Die from a piece of Basic White and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I started cutting barn-yard shapes using the Chick Dies. From Soft Suede, I cut a chicken coop and a sign. Mossy Meadow for four corn stalks, Old Olive for four corn husks, and Bumble Bee for four corn cobs.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the husks to the cobs and then to the stalks. And I stamped the Hey Chick sentiment in Tuxedo Black onto the sign.
I used short little pieces of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim to make corn “silks”. This was my friend Debbie Lindauer’s idea (yes – I made this card while we were all playing and crafting on my Zoom The Craftroom on Thursday evening – so it was kind of a card-by-committee!). I adhered the little pieces of trim to the back of each corn cob and then pulled it apart to make it all corn-silky! 😉
I adhered the coop and three stalks to the Basic White oval with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Hey Chickcrazy-hair chick in Tuxedo Black. I colored her hair, tail feathers, legs and beak with my Flirty Flamingo and Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Markers. Her body is Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blend. Then I cut her out with the matching die in the Chick Dies.
I popped my chick on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then tucked the final corn stalk in behind her. Finally, with more Dimensionals and a little Liquid Glue, I popped the sign in place – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second Hey Chick sentiment in Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel. The crazy hair chick peeks in from the corner!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got miss crazy hair on the front…
…and more of the Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Seriously – how cute is this bundle?? I don’t know what I love more – the crazy chickens in the Hey Chick stamp set or the so-uber-fun die cuts in the Chick Dies?!? How about you??

Good morning! It’s Sunday so..that heralds the half-way point of your weekend. And – not for nuthin’ – it’s Super Bowl Sunday! If you’re one of the lucky spectators – I heard there are going to be 25,000 human people. And…30,000 cardboard “people”. For which human people were given the chance to pay – yes PAY!! – $100 for the “honor” of having your face – or your kid’s face – or…your dog’s face – “attend” the Super Bowl.
Seriously?!? 😳😳😳 That just does not pass my sniff-test.
Caveat – if YOU were one who paid $100 to “be” there then I think that’s awesome – no offense meant – and I hope “you” enjoy the experience. 😉
So – I’ve got a fun-fold for you today (for FREE! 😉 ) – that’s just in time for Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day and I showed you how to make it last night on my Facebook live video. If you were able to spend some of your weekend with me, I appreciate it! If not, here’s the replay on YouTube!
I love a good fun fold and I especially love it if it’s EASY – which this one totally is! I used the pretty Love You Always Specialty DSP and the gorgeous Love You Always stamp set with the bundled Floral Heart Dies to make it gorgeous. Take a look-see:
I started by cutting two pieces of Rococo Rose cardstock to create the two “cards” that make-up the whole fun fold card. Card 1 is the “base” and then card 2 is the smaller cardbase that is adhered to the large back panel of card 1.
I matted a large piece of Love You Always Specialty DSP – in Rococo Rose – on Sahara Sand and adhered it to the back panel of card 1. I cut and matted a smaller piece for the left small panel of the first card.
For the smaller card – I matted another piece of the Love You Always Specialty DSP on Sahara Sand and adhered it to the front of the card.
From a piece of Sahara Sand Love You Always Foil, I cut the large heart die from the Floral Heart Dies. I adhered it to the front of the small card with Liquid Glue.
Then I used the small flower die in the Floral Heart Dies(it cuts three detailed flowers at a time!) to cut some flowers in Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose. These are adhered to the foil heart image with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the sentiment from Always in My Heart in Rococo Rose on a piece of Basic White and cut it with the same large die in the Always Die set. Then I popped the heart onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied two lengths of white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack into a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I added a few Opal Rounds and that was it for the card front.
I stamped a second sentiment from Always in My Heartin Rococo Rose onto a Basic White panel. Then I stamped two flowers from the set in Rococo Rose and filled them using the fill image – in stamped off once Blushing Bride.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sahara Sand mat and into the smaller card base. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere that card into the larger card #1 – making sure it was centered on the large back panel. And the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Always in My Heart flowers on the front…
…and more of the Love You Always Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This super-easy fun fold is great for showcasing our gorgeous papers like the Love You Always Specialty DSP – and the perfectly sized front of the smaller card is just right for the big, bold Floral Heart Die cut! The bundled Always in My Heart stamp set covers the gamut from love to friendship – Valentine’s to Anniversary! 🙂
