Stampin’ Up! Patterned Pumpkin Label

Mornin’, y’all!  Well – here ’tis.  The day before the big exodus to Utah!  I’m about to switch to “go” mode – that moment when my brain stops fighting it and just decides to do it and get ‘er done.

Any….second…now…

Well.  Maybe not quite yet.  Soon, though, I’m sure! 🙂

Had a “fun” day yesterday – our extra freezer decided it was time to call it a day.  So – big shuffle of frozen food to the other freezer spaces.  Did use the opportunity to get rid of those things no longer identifiable.  Or so freezer burned that…yea, unidentifiable.  So that happened.  Our neighbor is a refrigeration guy so he came and looked at it – told us we should replace the compressor and keep this one (it’s 20 years old).  Said the new ones are….problematic.  So that’s what we’ll do!

Or – Wayne will do it next week.

My project for today is another Fall-themed card using the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits and some Painted Autumn DSP.  With a little Labels to Love sentiment thrown in for good measure.  Take a look-see:

The layout is inspired by the sketch at the MFT Card Challenge.

And the color palette hails from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP and I matted it on Soft Sky for the card front.  Then there’s a strip of Very Vanilla on Soft Sky adhered with Liquid Glue and I wrapped a piece of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

Last up is another design from the Painted Autumn, also on Soft Sky, that I popped over the Very Vanilla strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment, from Labels to Love, is stamped on Very Vanilla.  I used my Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp directly.  Then I cut it with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

I fussy cut a trio of pumpkins from a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP and used my Early Espresso Marker to edge it – that helps to give it a little “substance”.  I used the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits to cut a large pumpkin in Cajun Craze, a couple of Garden Green Leaves, one Soft Sky leaf and a couple of Peekaboo Peach tendrils.

I used Liquid Glue to add the various elements – topping them all off with the fussy cut pumpkins, which are popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with the Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Tip – take a little piece of thread (I used Gold Metallic Thread) and tie it around the ribbon that is laid across the card front.  When you “cinch” the knot down, it helps to create the illusion that the bow was actually tied from a single piece of ribbon.

I added a few Garden Green Enamel Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I inked up a pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin set in Peekaboo Peach, then used Tangerine Tango on a Sponge Dauber to add some depth around the edges.  I stamped it a second time on a Sticky note and cut it out as a mask.  Then I inked the smaller pumpkin in Peekaboo Peach and shaded it with Cajun Craze, then stamped it over the taller (and now masked) pumpkin.  I used my Early Espresso Marker to touch up the stems.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Soft Sky mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another couple of Pick a Pumpkin pumpkins on the front…

…and the envelope flap got some more of the Painted Autumn DSP.

Et Voila!  This Pick a Pumpkin bundle, with the matching Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits might well be one of my favorites in the entire Holiday Catalog!  I really love it – especially when paired up with the oh-so-gorgeous Painted Autumn DSP.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Dapper Musical Season

Well, y’all – here we are again at Friday!  And – I want to let you know that you guys have helped me reach one of my year-end goals with Stampin’ Up!  Thank you so much!! I surely do appreciate all y’all helping and supporting my business!  I very cavalierly rewarded myself – I went smack out to the Delta website and helped myself to a First Class upgrade!

Both ways!! Which means- two free bags.  Seventy pounds each.

Which means – I can also take clothes with me!! 😉

Now – late breaking news (I even delayed this post a tad to tell you!)!  Overnight – the $1000 mark was reached on the Super Workshop!!  Whooo-hoooo, you guys!!  Thank you all so much!!  Sheila Larson will be receiving all the great thank you gifts!!  I’ve changed the Host Code, now, to one that y’all can use for a couple of weeks.

So – to the business at hand! At our meeting on Sunday, Ms. Amy gave away goodies (she always does!!).  And I picked the new Musical Season stamp set and the bundled Musical Instruments Framelits.  Which means I’ve been sort of itching to use it – which I did.  Today.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes courtesy of The Paper Players sketch challenge this week.

I started with the pretty script paper from the Merry Music Specialty DSP and matted it on some Silver Foil for the card front.  The middle panel is a different design in the Merry Music Specialty DSP, also matted on Silver Foil and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I wrapped a piece of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon around both panels, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

I didn’t do anything to the middle piece of Whisper White, except to mat it on Silver Foil and pop it over the other elements with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the guitar (could it be a sitar?!?) – in Dapper Denim on a piece of Whisper White and cut it with it’s matching Musical Instruments Framelits die.  I popped it over the center panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Musical Season sentiment in Dapper Denim on a strip of Whisper White.  I snipped banners in the end with my Paper Snips, edged the banner with my Dapper Denim Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered it with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals (on the end).  A few silver heart Metallic Enamel Shapes finished off the card front.

On the inside, I inked the guitar/sitar again with Dapper Denim, stamped it off three times and then stamped it in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  When it was completely dry, I rubbed it with my Embossing Buddy and then heat embossed the second sentiment from Musical Season in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Silver Foil mat and into my Dapper Denim card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a full-strength Dapper Denim guitar/sitar on the front…

…and a little more of the Merry Music Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I like the black/silver/blue color scheme, don’t you?  And this Musical Season bundle is very sweet – and melds perfectly with the Merry Music Specialty DSP.  Hope you like!

Finn-Fan Fix

A couple years back, my Mom gave us a red collar that lights up in the dark.

Well – it lights up in the day, too, but…

Anywho – we had Buck then, and he was always on the leash, so we could always tell where he was.

At the end of the leash.  Hello?  Try to keep up!

Well, Finn isn’t always on the leash.  And now that it’s starting to be dark when we finish up the horses at night, we’ve started putting it on him.

We call him “Glow Worm”.

There.  See him?

Stampin’ Up! Ready For Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster playing with today’s sketch challenge, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

Here’s the sketch on the table today:

I decided to go with a Christmas theme – no, I’m not Ready for Christmas (yet!) – but this stamp set is!  You can tell cuz that’s it name!  So, I paired the Ready for Christmas and bundled Christmas Staircase Thinlits with some Merry Little Christmas DSP.  Take a look-see:

To begin, I Fast Fused a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP onto a Basic Black mat – black side up – the Old Olive side just wouldn’t do for this one!

Next, I cut a strip of Gold Glimmer paper and bannerized the ends with my Banner Triple Punch.  It’s adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Over that, I added a Gold Foil Snowflake with some Liquid Glue.

To build my Christmas tree – it was so easy and fun! – I first stamped the image from the Ready for Christmas stamp set in Early Espresso on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I used the Early Espresso to give just a hit of brown with the white – which, when added to the Garden Green in the next step….said “Christmas Tree” to me!

In the Christmas Staircase Thinlits, there are two dies that are pine tree boughs.  I cut 9 of them from Garden Green and, using Liquid Glue, “built” my tree.  Start at the bottom and work your way up.  It’s sort of like assembling a fake Christmas Tree (one of the older ones where you had to stick each branch in one at a time).  Easy.  Quick  And fun to build!  I used the little ribbon die and the star – both from Christmas Staircase Thinlits – to cut bows and a star from Gold Glimmer Paper.  These are adhered with Liquid Glue.  Then I used more Liquid Glue to adhere the tree to the card front.

My sentiment, from Ready for Christmas, is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a strip of Basic Black (be sure to use the Embossing Buddy!!).  I’d made a gold-matted label sentiment – but…it just didn’t work for my card, so…hang on.  You’ll see that in a day or two! 😉

I cut banner ends with my Paper Snips and popped it over the tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A small Black Rhinestone Jewel next to the sentiment finished off the card front.

On the inside, I heat embossed a second sentiment from Ready For Christmas in Gold on a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped the garland in Garden Green and added Gold Embossed bows (again – don’t forget to use the Embossing Buddy. Oh – and be sure the green ink is dry!).

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Whisper White card base, Fast Fuse’d the card front on and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Garden Green Ready for Christmas garland and gold embossed bows on the front…

…and a little more of the Merry Little Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this Christmas Tree-building set!  The boughs that the dies cut are very realistic – especially when layered up on the die cut tree!  And I think the black/white/gold – with just a pop of Christmas-y green is very striking, don’t you?  Hope you like!!

Stampin’ Up! Cozy Red Smitten Mittens!

It’s HAWWWWP Day, y’all!!  Man – this week is flying by, isn’t it? Yikes!!

My card for today comes from the fertile mind of my friend Amy – we all got to make this (and one other that I’ll probably share with you next week – I’m stingy that way!) at our team meeting on Sunday.  It uses the uber-cute Smitten Mitten stamp set and the matching Many Mittens Framelits plus a lovely little sentiment from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.  Take a look-see:

I know – ridiculously cute, isn’t it?  And it was easy to make with the bundled stamp and framelits!

We started with a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Using our Garden Green and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers, we colored the sentiment stamp from Hearts Come Home directly and stamped it in the bottom corner.  Then we ran the panel thru the Big Shot in the Winter Wonder TIEF (note that the folder was offset a little – placing the snowflake over on the side).

Then we matted the panel on a Garden Green panel with Fast Fuse.

To make the mittens, we cut two of the same detailed mitten dies from the Many Mittens Framelits in Real Red and two of the solid mittens in Whisper White.  Then we used Liquid Glue to adhere them together.  I adhered one to the card front with Liquid Glue and popped the second one on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

We made a small and a large holly leaf, using the stamps in the Smitten Mitten stamp set.  The fill in images are stamped-off-once Garden Green and the outline image in full strength Garden Green.  We also stamped the little berries images – the outline in full-strength Real Red and the fill in with stamped-off-once Real Red.

We cut everything out with their matching dies (handy little framelit set!!) and then adhered the leaves with Liquid Glue to the mittens and popped the berries over with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  The bow is from Jute Twine – we wanted thicker than Linen Thread but not as thick as Jute Twine.  So…we pulled the three strands of the Jute Twine apart and used just one!  It’s adhered with a Glue Dot.

I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels – and the card front was done!

On the inside, we stamped a sentiment from Smitten Mittens in Real Red on a Whisper White panel, then added a couple of small mittens in Garden Green.

We Fast Fuse’d the panel into our Real Red card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another pair of Garden Green Smitten Mittens mittens on the front…

…and on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  How cute is this stamp set??  I love the cozy mittens that you can whip up with a couple of dies and some card stock, don’t you!?  And the Winter Wonder TIEF added just the perfect touch of texture.  Hope you like!

It’s the life of a dog, I suppose.

Stampin’ Up! Torn Corners Count My Blessings

Happy Tuesday!  Hoping that your week is going well.  Mine is…going.  Fast.  I’m going to look up and it’s going to be Saturday and I’ll be packing to go!  But I’m trying to consider that that just means it’s going to be closer to being over AND closer to seeing my friends (and the new Occasions catalog) at OnStage!!  And then…coming back home!

Yea.  That’s how I’m going to look at it.  Pull up my big girl panties and JUST DO IT!! 🙂

Today, though, let’s talk cards, shall we?  I made another card using the Count My Blessings stamp set.  Take a look-see:

Now – this isn’t my usual color scheme – I used them to play along with the Global Design Project challenge – but I keep forgetting that the deadline is in Australia time.  So…Tuesday there is Monday here and I keep missing it! 🙁

The sketch, though, that inspired my layout comes from the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

And I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge – straight down the right side!

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock and, using the leaf image in Count My Blessings, stamped all over it with Lemon Lime Twist ink.

For my four layers with the rounded corners – I decided to tear the edges.  The bottom layer is Calypso Coral card stock.  Next up is a piece of Painted Autumn DSP – and I sponged the torn edges with a little more Lemon Lime Twist.  Then comes another piece of Painted Autumn DSP and finally, a piece of Whisper White.  I adhered each piece with Liquid Glue – and then trimmed the excess with my Paper Trimmer.  For the the last layer, the Whisper White panel, I stamped the Count My Blessings flower on before adhering it.

To stamp that flower, I used a couple of techniques I learned from Amy Koenders.  First I inked the stamp with Peekaboo Peach ink.  Then, I used a sponge dauber to add some Calypso Coral around the edges of the flower – giving it a little depth.  For the leaves, I used my Blender Pen to pick up the Peekaboo Peach ink – making way for the Lemon Lime Twist (the Blender Pen sort of works like an eraser!).  I added the Lemon Lime Twist by coloring them directly with my Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I “huffed” on the stamp and stamped it on my Whisper White panel.  And adhered it with the Liquid Glue.  Finally, I Fast Fuse’d the card front to a Lemon Lime Twist mat.

My sentiment, also from the Count My Blessing stamp set, is stamped on Whisper White in Calypso Coral ink.  I cut it out with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die and matted it on a Lemon Lime Twist scalloped oval, cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere them together and then popped them on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped another of the Count My Blessings flower images in Lemon Lime Twist across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  Then I used my Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker to dab color on each flower.  Finally, using the fine-tip side of my Calypso Coral Marker, I added just a touch of that to each flower, too.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into my Peekaboo Peach card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Count My Blessings flowers in Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral across the front…

…and a little more of the Painted Autumn DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  While this isn’t exactly my cup-o-tea in the colors department, it’s definitely a cheerful and fun card, yes?  And the Count My Blessings stamp set is certainly gorgeous, no if’s, and’s or but’s about it!  Hope you like!

Finn-Fan Fix

Finn will, occasionally, stand up from his nap, stretch and come over to where I’m either working on the computer or at my stamping desk.

He stops in front of me, looking at me expectantly.

Sometimes it means he needs to go out.

More often – if means….Hug.

And I usually accommodate him – cuz…who doesn’t appreciate a good fur-hug in the middle of a stressful day?

Not easy to take a selfie with 65 pounds of wiggly Aussie half in and half out of your lap!

Consider yourself hugged! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Harvest Labels to Love

Mornin’ y’all!  Getting ready for your week?  Me, too.

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video – thanks so much for spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, and you want to watch…here’s a link to it on YouTube.  Enjoy!

For this card, I used the Painted Harvest stamp set and combined it with the super-versatile and pretty Labels to Love stamp set.  Plus a few other goodies.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card come from the sketch challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I started by Fast Fuse’ing a large piece of the Painted Autumn DSP to a Peekaboo Peach mat for the card front and two smaller pieces for the middle DSP panels, which I adhered with a little Liquid Glue.

The middle panel is a piece of Very Vanilla, matted on Peekaboo Peach card stock and then embossed in the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF and adhered with Liquid Glue.

I made the Painted Harvest sunflower by stamping the larger image in Peekaboo Peach – twice (re-inking between stamps) – on a piece of Very Vanilla.  Then I added the middle image – in stamped off once Cajun Craze.  And I fussy cut it.

The leaves are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green – the solid image in Lemon Lime Twist and the veins in Garden Green.  I made three of them, punching them out with the Leaf Punch that’s a part of this wonderful Painted Harvest bundle.

I adhered the leaves with a little Liquid Glue and a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and then the flower with Liquid Glue to the embossed panel.

Then I stamped the sentiment from Labels to Love in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla and cut it with a small Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die.  I matted it on a scalloped Peekaboo Peach mat, cut with the Layering Circles Framelits die, added loops of Copper Metallic Thread behind it, and then popped it on the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with a length of Linen Thread and two lengths of Copper Metallic Thread and adhered it with a little dab of Liquid Glue and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added another sunflower from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Peekaboo Peach and stamped-off-once Cajun Craze in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel.  I added a center in Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green and added some Garden Green dots in the middle with the little dots image from the set.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Peekaboo Peach mat and into my Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a third Painted Harvest sunflower on the front…

…and I added some more of the Painted Autumn DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this little Labels to Love stamp set – it gives you so many occasions options – from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day.  And – of course  – Painted Autumn.  Don’t guess I really have to say much about it wonderfulness!  You already know!  Hope you like!

Finn-Fan Fix

Ladies – and gentlemen if you’re out there! – may I introduce to you – for the first time…

DN4682060  AKA (or should I say AKC?!) Finneus Deatherage

Yes – it’s true.  He’s an “official” dog now.  With a Dog Number and everything!

Somehow I thought that once he was “official” – he’d be a little less goofy!

But no.  He still carries around bunches of leaves and twigs.  Just cuz he…likes how they taste?

Nope – becoming “official” hasn’t gone to his head at all! Still the same little sweet, unpretentious kid!  🙂

Finn-Fan Fix

Yoghurt is pretty popular in our house.

I like it.  Wayne likes it.  The cats like it – mostly Leo.

Finn likes it!  He licks every single nook and cranny (after waiting not-so-patiently for Leo to decide if he wants any or if this isn’t one of the preferred flavors).

Then he picks it up and prepares to destroy the tub.

Which is our cue to retrieve it before it’s shredded up and all over the house!

Oh yea – he cares not one whit what flavor it is.  He’s pretty undiscerning….

Stampin’ Up! Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Labels to Love

Good Sunday morning, y’all!  I’ll have a second post a little later with my FB Live Video sneak peek!

I’m excited to be a guest in the Stamping Sunday blog hop this week!  We’re all creating projects using the so-pretty (and versatile!) Labels to Love stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2017 Holiday Catalog to share with you today.

I decided to add a few bits and pieces for my card – a little Christmas Around the World plaid DSP, some Pretty Pine boughs and berries, and an assist from Christmas Happiness.  Take a look-see:

I started by matting a piece of Christmas Around the World DSP (the plaid – my favorite!) on a piece of Gold Foil for the card front.  Next I pulled a piece of Whisper White and embossed it in the new Quilt Top TIEF, matted it on Gold Foil, and adhered it over the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used my Pretty Pines Thinlit dies to cut some Garden Green pine boughs, Real Red leaves and Gold Foil berries.

For the label, I inked the pretty sentiment from Labels to Love using my Garden Green and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on Whisper White.  Then I punched it with the matching Everyday Label punch.  I also punched a label in Gold Foil, then adhered the sentiment to its mat – offset just a little – with Liquid Glue.

After a quick dry-fit to be sure I knew where I wanted to put what – I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Pretty Pines boughs, leaves and berries to the embossed panel.

I popped the matted sentiment over the embellishments with Stampin’ Dinensionals.  Then I tied a little bow from some Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

The final touch was a small Black Rhinestone Jewel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the pretty pine bough image from the Christmas Happiness stamp set, and stamped it twice (without re-inking!) in Garden Green in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added a strip of the Christmas Around the World DSP that I’d matted on Gold Foil over the top.  Just cuz I could, I added a Black Rhinestone Jewel!

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Gold Foil mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another double-stamped pine bough from Christmas Happiness in Garden Green on the front…

…and I added some more of that wonderful plaid paper from the Christmas Around the World DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Labels to Love stamp set really lives up to its name – you gotta love all the different label-sized sentiments for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, New Years and even Valentine’s Day!  All paired up with the Everyday Label punch.  And – of course, you can hardly go wrong with pine boughs and plaid, now can you?  Hope you like!

Now that you’ve seen my project, please take a little time to visit all the Stamping Sunday Blog Hoppers today!

Just click on the little blue box to see all the participants and links to their blogs!

Stampin’ Up! Reprieve! And…a Humongous Ordering Special!

Today my card is not a card.  It’s a…reprieve!

For me.

I don’t have to go to Utah now until a week from tomorrow – and I don’t even have to stay longer.  Whooo!

Well – at least not yet! So…Whooo-hoo!!!

And I got good news about the hotel and that makes it all feel just a little bit easier to deal with.  So…Whooo-hooo-hoooo!!

AND – now I get to go up to our Amy’s Inkin’ Knew Team Meeting on Sunday!  Whooo-hooo-hoooo-HOOOOOOO!!!

Whew!  That’s a lot of whoo-hoooing!

Now – onto the Ordering Special.

It’s multi-faceted.  Ready?

I have a goal – not a dream (that would be awfully presumptuous!) – of having a $1000 workshop. And I want to do it in just one week.  Go big or go home, right?? 😉

What do you think?  Can we do it?

To help us out – I’ve generated a special Host Code:  YRS26ABP

For the next week, I’d ask y’all to place your orders using that code.  And help me get that chimera of workshops, the holy grail of home parties…$1000 in retail sales!

And – as a thank you to all who order with the special Host Code in the next week – yes this is only good until the end of the month (30 Sept) – I have a few gifts!

First of all – TRIPLE Peppermint points!

Triple points makes it super fast and super easy to reach that magic number of 16 Peppermints.  Remember, when you hit that number, you’ll receive a FREE $40 gift from me that I’ll have shipped directly to you!  With this special – a single order of $149 will earn you an Instant Reward (yep – I’ll round up as a thank you!)

Second – of course you’ll get my ordering Thank You gift and one of my handmade cards (left blank so you can send it or keep it) and coordinating non-nekkid envelopes!

Third – when we get to the $1000 mark, the order that takes us over the edge….is going to receive a really (really!) nice thank you gift!  Here’s part 1 of the Thank You!

What’s in the picture?

There’s an I Want It All 2017 Holiday Catalog Share (in the cello bag); the Label Me Pretty Clear mount stamp set and the Pretty Label Punch,  a roll of 1/4″ Copper Trim and one roll of each color of 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon (Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Old Olive).

Inside the cello bag….

Quilted Christmas DSP Stack – 12 Sheets

Finally – on top of all that – Part 2 of the Thank You… the person making that final “push” order will get to spend all the Stampin’ Rewards, choose a half-price item and will receive the beautiful Merry Patterns stamp set!

Say whaaaaaaat?!?

You heard me right.  I didn’t stutter. 😉  All the Stampin’ Rewards (we’re talking $160 on a $1000 show)

A half-price item.

And the Merry Patterns stamp set!!

And that’s on top of TRIPLE Peppermints, an Ordering Gift, a handmade card to keep or send, and the “candy” in the picture!

So – help me out, y’all – let’s hit this goal!

P.S.  If you’ve been eyeballing my special Holiday Catalog bundles – now’s a great time to order!  I’ll use our special host code and that’ll count towards our goal.  And might even be the “final” order needed to go over $1000 – and you know what that would mean! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Vintage Leaves

Well, it’s Friday, y’all!  We made it!  Hope you’re ready for a fun weekend.  I’ve got my traditional pre-trip hair cut for tomorrow and then….if nothing changes….I head to the airport on Sunday.

Bleh.

Let me repeat….B. L. E. H.

But – for now…let’s take a look at the card I made on Thursday as my end-of-day stress reliever!  I used one of my all-time favorite sets – the Vintage Leaves and added a Painted Harvest sentiment.  Take a look-see:

This layout was inspired by the sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.

It also plays nicely with the challenge from The Paper Players.

I made the card front from a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Using the little splotches image from the Timeless Textures stamp set, I stamped around in the top corner with Crumb Cake ink.  Then I ran the panel thru the Big Shot in my Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF.

With my sponge, I lightly burnished the raised wood grain with Cajun Craze.  Tip – use your – previously inked – dry sponge.  Don’t add any more ink.  It makes it easier to stay on top of the grain.  I also flicked the edges of the panel.

The panel is matted on a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock.

I adhered a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon down the side with some liquid Glue.  Then I made leaves!

This is the stained glass technique.  First I stamped two smaller flowers on a piece of Vellum card stock in Early Espresso.

And let them dry.  It takes a while, folks.  Be patient.  Or…give them a little hit with your Heat Tool!

While those dried, I rubbed another piece of Vellum card stock with my Embossing Buddy and stamped the large leaf in Versamark, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up.

I colored the leaves by turning them over – and coloring the back! – with my Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Markers.  I used the darker colors to highlight the veins in the leaves and then filled them in with the lighter colors.  When that was dry…I cut them out with the matching dies in the Leaflets Frameltis.

I curled the leaves lightly with a stylus then used Dimensionals behind the large leaf (and a little Liquid Glue on the stem) to adhere it to the card front.  Then I added the smaller leaves over top – with just a small line of Liquid Glue down the center and the stem.

The sentiment, from Painted Harvest, is stamped on Very Vanilla in Cajun Craze ink.  Then I tore around the sentiment and flicked the torn edges with a Crumb Cake sponge.  I also crumpled up the sentiment a couple of times to vintage-ize it a little and then popped it over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final pieces are a Linen Thread bow (make multiple loops and tie a thread around the middle) and a few Pumpkin Pie Enamel Shapes.

On the inside, I added a couple of the smaller leaves in Early Espresso and colored them with my Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie markers.  I also added some Timeless Textures Crumb Cake spotches and flicked the edges with the Cajun Craze sponge.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Vintage Leaves and Timeless Textures on the front…

…and I embossed the flap in the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF and burnished it with the Cajun Craze sponge.

Et Voila!  Some Vintage Leaves with an assist from Painted Harvest.  And, of course, the wonderful Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF!  All with some subtle color from the stained glass technique on Vellum.  Hope you like! 🙂
