Stampin’ Up! Grateful Bunch and Petite Pairs Any Occasion card

Good morning! By the time you read this, I should be (all things being equal!) sitting on an airplane with Amy Koenders. Getting ready to wing our way to Salt Lake City. OnStage, baby!

Now, for those of you who don’t know me – I’m not really a “whoo-hoo”-er. I’ve been known to be a “WHOOP!”-er – but only at horse shows and only when my fave gaited Saddlebred is passing in front of me and I’m showing my support.

I. Don’t. Whoo-hoo. At least not “for real” – I might do it in jest…but that’s it!

Miss Amy said a scary thing the other day while we were on a Google Hangout meeting. It had to do with her plan to whoo-hoo on the plane.

A Lot.

I’m very much hoping she was joshin’ me! Otherwise, I’ll be obligated to disavow her. At least for the duration of the flight! Do lots of sleeping or pretending to sleep. Put my headphones in – hopefully there’s a good movie…

We’ll see what happens!

Stampin’ Up! Love You Sew Bids You Thanks a Hole Punch!

I think I achieved a personal record today! I thought up, built, finished and photographed a card (with envelope!) in just an hour! It usually takes me a lot longer than that, so I’m pretty happy with myself. And – that means that you could whip this card out in a heartbeat – and it’s a Single Stamp Set card, too!

Now, I’m sure you’ve seen this layout floating around – it’s pretty popular right now, it seems – and I think it stems from a sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday a couple weeks back!

So the idea of a tag-on-a-card has been in my head for a bit. And the Love You Sew stamp set sentiment “Thanks a Hole Punch”…well, there was a tag made with it in the Occasions catalog, so that’s been in the back of my mind for a while as well. I actually bought the 1/8″ and 1/16” Circle Punches when they were on the Weekly Deal, just so I could make a card with them and this sentiment. So, I finally did it. And set a record time! Stampin’ Up! Happy Home Window

Good morning, y’all! We ate our greens and black-eyed peas today, so I’m assuming I’ll win the lottery very soon. Don’t fret – I’ll still remember all the little people when I’m rich rich RICH! 😉 And I’ll for sure keep stamping and blogging. Probably in my brand new, fully Stamp-N-Storage equipped craft room…. 😉 😉

In the meantime, though, I made a card for you today at my in-the-living-room-crafting-spot. Which is equipped with some fun Stamp-N-Storage pieces (OBTW – they’re having a 10% off sale thru the 4th – so….this would be a great time to get some super storage pieces!).

For my card, I used the new set called Happy Home – this will be available for y’all to buy on the 5th. That’s just around the corner – like…Tuesday! 🙂 This is a fun stamp set that also coordinates with the fun Hearth and Home Thinlit dies (which you guys saw in the Holiday Catalog and which you’ll be able to get as a 15% off bundle with this stamp set if you don’t already have it!). Stampin’ Up! Layered Letters Alphabet Happy New Year Card

Well, good morning to you all on this very first Stamps-N-Lingers Blog Post for 2016! 🙂 I hope that you all had a great New Years Eve – and didn’t need too much hair of the dog this morning! We did our usual – woke up (blearily) for a few minutes when we heard fireworks outside. And went right back to sleep. Yes, it’s true. We are dyed-in-the-wool party animals! 😉

I made y’all a fun Happy New Year card today – but, when you see it, you’ll know that it could be a card for a lot of “Happy” occasions! I used an old favorite – one I haven’t pulled out in a while – the Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set. I also picked an image from the soon-to-be-retired Six Sayings Hostess set from the 2015 Holiday Catalog. I’ve been screwed up on what day it is since Christmas! Christmas just happened on the wrong day of the week for me. So I’ve been messed up – hopefully I’ll remember when Friday is and eat my black eyed peas and greens! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Thank You on Perfectly Artistic Designer Paper

Welcome to the last Monday of 2015. Can you even believe that!? I’m having a hard time realizing that 2015 is almost gone.

I’m having a hard time gathering up my annual piles to take to Goodwill, too. Do you guys do that? Or are you much better organized than I am (of this I have no doubt whatsoever!) and you take some here and take some there and are smugly shaking your finger at me right now?? 😉 I know. Every year I say I’m going to deal with taxes better – I say it at the end of the year when it’s too late for the current year, but I swear I’ll do better for the one coming in 4 days.

Guess how well that’s going for me?

Yup.

Not.

Anywho! On to today’s card share – the last one for a Monday in 2015. Yesterday’s card was all about the Framelits – the gorgeous Botanical Builder Framelits. The flowers did all the work. For today, I swung (swang? Did done had swung? – Big Bang reference) the other way, and made a super simple card that lets some beautiful new Designer Paper do all the work. This paper, called Perfectly Artistic Designer Paper will be one of the free items you can pick with a $50 (before shipping and handling!) product purchase when Sale-A-Bration begins on 5 Jan!

I combined it with the nice sentiment stamp called Watercolor Thank You, from the Annual Catalog and made a monochromatic card….well, take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Builder Sneak Peek

Happy Sunday – hope that your day-after-Christmas was fun and safe. Did anyone go see Star Wars? We haven’t had a chance to go yet, but my brother tells me it’s awesome! Considering that I saw the original – yes, about a thousand years ago! – like 10 times….I can’t wait to see it. If you haven’t seen it yet, he recommends seeing it in the largest screen you can! 🙂

My card share for today is another sneak peek at the coming-soon-in-the-2016-Occasions-Catalog Botanical Builder Framelits. I also used some of the Botanicals For You and the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack. Those two items are in the Sale-A-Bration flyer – we’ll talk about that at the end of the post. Stampin’ Up! Sassy Salutations Watercoloring

Well – Christmas is a distant, food-coma memory!

Okay – well, maybe not. Not a distant memory – but a food-coma certainly! I’m home from dinner – the kitchen is finally clean. You’d have thought I did the entire dinner – for 20 people! – instead of a couple of sides and the prime rib. And grew the sweet potatoes. Shelled the pecans. Threw the pottery for the casserole dishes. Holy smokes! I’m pretty sure I used every freakin’ dish, pan, pot, utensil and serving dish in my kitchen. 🙁

But – that’s all done now.

So, since I’m whupped and the day is late, I’m going to be lazy. Instead of trying to make a new card, I thought I’d share with you the technique I used for the card I posted on Christmas Day. It’s real easy – and kind of fun. I used Sassy Salutations for my sentiment. I’d say take-a-look-see, but that seems redundant since you look-see’d it yesterday!
