Good morning, my friends – and happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well! Wayne’s been working out in the shop. I’ve been working in the house. Finn’s been working in the….well. Never mind. He’s been mostly napping! 😂
My card today is a fun fold – sort of? You can decide for yourself. It features the pretty Country Floral Lane DSP and the coordinating Country Bouquetstamp set for a sweet Valentine’s Day card. Take a look-see:
Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a great – and timely! – theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
With the help of my friends on my Zoom the Craftroom the other night, I made four card fronts from the pretty Country Floral Lane DSP – using the Stack-Cut-Shuffle technique. It was a simple jump to the Country Bouquetstamp set for this week’s theme. So…I pulled out one of the card fronts I’d made and created today’s card! Take a look-see:
Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a great color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
The colors for our challenge today were obviously an invitation to use the Country Floral Lane DSP and Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP. And who am I to turn down an invitation!? I decided to go all in and pulled out the Country Bouquet Bundlethen added in a few die cuts from the Designer Tags die set. Take a look-see:
Happy Sunday, y’all! Hope your weekend is going well. And that you have power! If you’re in the Northeast…I am thinking that’s maybe a crap shoot! So my fingers are crossed that everyone has power and is warm! 🙂
So – if you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook live, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me! If not, but you’d like to see the replay – here ’tis!
A couple weeks ago, I made a card with the Flowering Tulips stamp set – and showed you how you can combine the multi-step images to make pretty tulips. I didn’t use the Tulips dies for that one – but promised that I would soon – AND would show you how to combine the various dies to make 3D flowers. So…that’s what I did today! I placed my bouquet atop some pretty Artfully Composed DSP. Take a look-see:
I played along with two challenges on this one. The first one, from Color Throwdown, inspired my color palette!
I started by adhering a piece of Evening Evergreen paper from one my fave new DSP packs – the Artfully Composed DSP – on a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock. I used Glue Dots – placed so to be hidden by the rest of the decorations – to adhere a rectangle of Vellum cardstock in the middle of the card front.
Then – it was time to build a bouquet! 🙂
There are three flower types that you can make with the Tulips Dies. This is how the dies work together. SU has graciously given us enough to be able to cut multiples FAST!
This combination of dies cut shapes that can be assembled into the tulips!
I cut five total flowers – two in Fresh Freesia, two in Blushing Bride and one in Basic White.
For the two Blushing Bride flowers – I used a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend to color the smallest “petal”. I use a Light Fresh Freesia Blend on the small Fresh Freesia petals.
It’s easiest to see how to assemble the flowers by taking a gander at the video – you can fast forward to about the 5 minute mark. Note: you CAN use Liquid Glue to assemble them – but using Glue Dots adds a smidge more dimension – and so that’s what I used. I also added an actual Stampin’ Dimensional to a few of them, too! All see-able on the video! 🙂
I stamped a large and a small leaf from the Flowering Tulips set in Pear Pizzazz on Pear Pizzazz cardstock and cut them with their matching Tulips Dies. And I used the thin stem die to cut five Pear Pizzazz stems.
I laid everything out to get my bouquet “just right” and then began to adhere everything to the card front with Liquid Glue. No need to use any Dimensionals here! 🙂 A couple of the stems needed to be trimmed to size!
I tied a little bow from some Petal Pink ribbon (1/8″ Cotton Ribbon) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Flowering Tulips sentiment in Fresh Freesia. Then I cut it with the smallest Scalloped Contours rectangle die.
I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow, added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped one of the Flowering Tulips flowers in Blushing Bride (the first image is in full-strength and the second is in stamped-off-once ink), with Pear Pizzazz stems and leaves. Then I added a few more Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Flowering Tulips on the front…
…and a little more Artfully Composed DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh – my – goodness!! I love these 3D Tulip Dies flowers, don’t you? And with the coordinating Flowering Tulips stamped images to decorate the other parts of your card and #nonekkidenvelopes….the sky is the limit! Can’t you just see a gorgeous bouquet with Tulips AND Daffodils!?!? Stampin’ Up! gives us the tools to DO that! 🙂
I hope you like!
If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts are listed below!
And…I’ve also created a printable PDF with written instructions and a list of the products used to create this project. You can download, print and/or save it by clicking this image:
Missed any tutorials? You can check out my past projects right here!
Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Love! We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
Love. Love. Hmmm. What to use? Well…I had a new set on my shelf that hadn’t been inked – and I’d been waiting for the right moment to pull it out. It’s called…More Love. Huh! Perfect! I ended up pairing it with some Artfully Composed DSP, AND new Vellum Layering Designs paper, and a few little odds and ends from the Sweet Conversations stamp set. Take a look-see:
T-5, y’all! And – I have some wisdom to impart. It’s about…lists. So – you make a list. You do the first thing and check it off. Then you do the next thing and check it off. Keep doing that and the list gets smaller until finally – you’re DONE!
Unless. Unless when you check something off the TOP…you add another something at the BOTTOM!
Another gift card needed. Another batch of cookies – “just in case”. Quick unplanned trip to the grocery. You get the picture. It becomes a never ending list!
On a brighter note – it’s gonna be Saturday pretty quick and then…the list will no longer matter! LOL
For today’s card, I decided to look ahead to the NEXT holiday/occasion coming down the road – Valentine’s Day! And I used a new bundle, called Sweet Conversations, from the Jan – Jun – 2022 Mini Catalog to make it for you. Take a look-see:
Good morning! It’s Sunday so..that heralds the half-way point of your weekend. And – not for nuthin’ – it’s Super Bowl Sunday! If you’re one of the lucky spectators – I heard there are going to be 25,000 human people. And…30,000 cardboard “people”. For which human people were given the chance to pay – yes PAY!! – $100 for the “honor” of having your face – or your kid’s face – or…your dog’s face – “attend” the Super Bowl.
Seriously?!? 😳😳😳 That just does not pass my sniff-test.
Caveat – if YOU were one who paid $100 to “be” there then I think that’s awesome – no offense meant – and I hope “you” enjoy the experience. 😉
So – I’ve got a fun-fold for you today (for FREE! 😉 ) – that’s just in time for Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day and I showed you how to make it last night on my Facebook live video. If you were able to spend some of your weekend with me, I appreciate it! If not, here’s the replay on YouTube!
I love a good fun fold and I especially love it if it’s EASY – which this one totally is! I used the pretty Love You Always Specialty DSP and the gorgeous Love You Always stamp set with the bundled Floral Heart Dies to make it gorgeous. Take a look-see:
I started by cutting two pieces of Rococo Rose cardstock to create the two “cards” that make-up the whole fun fold card. Card 1 is the “base” and then card 2 is the smaller cardbase that is adhered to the large back panel of card 1.
I matted a large piece of Love You Always Specialty DSP – in Rococo Rose – on Sahara Sand and adhered it to the back panel of card 1. I cut and matted a smaller piece for the left small panel of the first card.
For the smaller card – I matted another piece of the Love You Always Specialty DSP on Sahara Sand and adhered it to the front of the card.
From a piece of Sahara Sand Love You Always Foil, I cut the large heart die from the Floral Heart Dies. I adhered it to the front of the small card with Liquid Glue.
Then I used the small flower die in the Floral Heart Dies(it cuts three detailed flowers at a time!) to cut some flowers in Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose. These are adhered to the foil heart image with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the sentiment from Always in My Heart in Rococo Rose on a piece of Basic White and cut it with the same large die in the Always Die set. Then I popped the heart onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied two lengths of white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack into a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I added a few Opal Rounds and that was it for the card front.
I stamped a second sentiment from Always in My Heartin Rococo Rose onto a Basic White panel. Then I stamped two flowers from the set in Rococo Rose and filled them using the fill image – in stamped off once Blushing Bride.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sahara Sand mat and into the smaller card base. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere that card into the larger card #1 – making sure it was centered on the large back panel. And the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Always in My Heart flowers on the front…
…and more of the Love You Always Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This super-easy fun fold is great for showcasing our gorgeous papers like the Love You Always Specialty DSP – and the perfectly sized front of the smaller card is just right for the big, bold Floral Heart Die cut! The bundled Always in My Heart stamp set covers the gamut from love to friendship – Valentine’s to Anniversary! 🙂
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Well, Finn heard that the first Saturday in February is National Ice Cream For Breakfast Day.
Yes. Really.
So…he wanted to give y’all a recipe he found on the internet for ice cream for your fur-kids.
Not your cats. He’s pretty sure cats should not get ice cream made for dogs.
It’s probably…bad for them or something. 😉
Here you go!
Ingredients
3-4 ripe bananas, peeled
32 ounces plain yogurt, low-fat
1 cup peanut butter – (make SURE it doesn’t have Xylitol in it! 🤢 According to the great Google: The most popular brands of peanut butter, such as Jif, Skippy, Smuckers and Peter Pan are all xylitol-free. Which is good, cuz that’s totally what we have!)
Instructions
Add bananas, peanut butter, and yogurt to a blender.
Well – it’s February, y’all! Half way thru Sale-A-Bration. And tomorrow is the first day y’all can order the new Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles. I know you’ve been waiting for those! So…scroll on down to get the deets and then be ready for tomorrow to roll around!
For today, though, I’ve got a simple card for you using the Lots of Heart Bundle with the Many Hearts Dies! And some True Love DSP! And no – it is NOT a Valentine’s OR Love-you-forever card. Take a look-see:
And I pulled the color scheme from the Color Throwdown challenge.
I started with a piece of polka-dot paper from the all-black-and-white True Love DSP and, using my awesome new Blending Brushes, I colored that panel with Gray Granite ink. Then I used a Stitched Rectangle Die and cut the middle out of the panel.
I adhered the large panel to a Purple Posy mat with Liquid Glue. And then I matted the die cut middle on Purple Posy and popped it back into its spot with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the plaid heart from Lots of Heart twice in Misty Moonlight. I used two dies in the Many Hearts Dieset – a small heart die and the little die that cuts a perforated heart shape…that one fits inside the larger heart die – to cut two small, perforated hearts from the plaid images.
On a piece of Purple Posy cardstock, I stamped the Lots of Heart sentiment in Misty Moonlight and cut it with a small, narrow Stitched Rectangle die. Then I popped it onto the middle of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added the two hearts to the card front.
A couple three Purple Posy Playing With Patterns Resin Dots finished it off!
On the inside, I added a few Many Hearts hearts in Misty Moonlight to a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Purple Posy mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Many Hearts hearts on the front in Misty Moonlight…
…and more of the Gray Granite-brushed True Love DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love the color-changing versatility of the black-and-white True Love DSP, don’t you?
And the Lots of Heart bundle is just as versatile – it’s NOT as much a lovey dovey set as it is for friendship!!
I hope you like!! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix
Last night as we were getting ready to head out to feed the ponies, Finn showed up in the doorway.
Ready, Mom!
He really REALLY wants to take Mr. Elephant out to show him the ponies, I guess. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Happy half-way-thru-the-weekend day, y’all! Hope it’s been a good one for you! Yesterday, I got half of my gardens “turned” and ready for amending with some compost to give them a little boost before spring planting time comes. And I’ve got my seed starting stuff ready to seed start. So – soon I’ll have my grow light working on my kitchen island and we’ll see what sprouts! I love this time of year!! 🙂
I’ve got a spring-y card for you today and I showed how to make it last night on my Facebook live video. If you were able to spend some of your weekend with me, I appreciate it! If not, here’s the replay on YouTube!
The new Wrapped Flowers bundle – which includes the Wrapped Flowers die set (that makes the fun “newspaper wrapper”! – is for sure one of the more beautiful sets in the new Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog. I used it to make a love-themed card for friends or family. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the current Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
I started with a piece of Basic White card stock that I embossed in the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. Then I cut the largest oval Stitched Shapes Die from the center. I cut the largest scalloped oval from the Ovals Layering Dies from Old Olive card stock and matted the white oval on it with Liquid Glue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat – then popped the matted oval back in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a piece of Crushed Curry Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP with the next-to-smallest rectangle Stitched So Sweetly die, cut it in half – and slid the halves under the popped up oval, adhering them with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the newsprint image from the Wrapped Bouquet Die Set twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I cut it with the second-to-smallest rectangle in Stitched So Sweetly. I used a Blending Brush to sponge the die cut with Smoky Slate ink.
I crinkled the die cut a bit to weather it – then adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On another piece of Basic White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the smaller floral image from Wrapped Bouquet in Tuxedo Black and cut it with the die in Wrapped Flowers. I colored the image with my Melon Mambo and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.
For the wrapper – I stamped the newsprint image in Tuxedo Black on Basic White and cut it with the square die in Wrapped Flowers. Then I turned it over and stamped the back with the newsprint image. I sponged both sides in Smoky Slate with my Blending Brush and then used the score lines (from the die) to fold it into a “wrapper”.
I used a couple of Glue Dots to hold the wrapper closed – and then to adhere the bouquet inside the wrapper.
On a piece of Basic White – I stamped the Wrapped Bouquet sentiment in Crushed Curry. Then I cut it with the little tag die in Wrapped Flowers. I also cut the same Crushed Curry Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP with the tag die.
I used my Dark Old Olive Stampin Blend to color a length of Linen Thread. I adhered the thread on the back of the “wrapper” with a Glue Dot, threaded the two little tags onto it and tied a bow.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the wrapped bouquet to the card front and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Wrapped Bouquet sentiment in Crushed Curry on Basic White. I added the floral image in the corner in Smoky Slate and colored it as I’d done the image on the front of the card.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Wrapped Bouquet image on the front…
…and more of the Crushed Curry Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et voila! Okay – this is silly, but whenever I look at this Wrapped Bouquet flower with it’s sweet Wrapped Flowers “newspaper” wrapper, I think of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. No? Just me? Well – whatever it makes YOU think of….I think you’re going to really have fun with this bundle!!
I hope you like!

Sometimes, when you’re trying to sleep on non-purpose-built furniture, you have to…improvise and overcome.
It often requires some judicial tucking and folding of paws – and the use of a handy exercise trampoline.
You know – for the overflow.
I mean – why not? MOM pretty obviously isn’t going to use it! 😉
