Good morning, y’all!  Hope you have this week off to relax and recharge as we countdown to the end of 2021!

Stampin’ Up! Holly Jolly Christmas to Remember Gift Card Holder – with Video!

Good morning, y’all – hope your week is going well!  I delivered the last of the cookie plates yesterday – and was able to have a nice chat with my friend, who I hadn’t seen for a while!  We ended up agreeing that the four of us WILL have dinner sometime in January.

We even held our feet to the fire and specified….January 2022!! Way to commit, right??! 🙂

My card today is actually TWO cards – my last gift card holders of the 2021 gift-giving season.  I like, and also hate!, giving gift cards.  They’re always the right color – they always fit – they’re always “just what they wanted”.  But…I feel sort of guilty giving them, too.  I always feel like I should have dithered and stressed over the gift more.  But…in lieu of that – I DO like to make a pretty gift card holder.

So…I used the carrying-over Christmas Season stamp set and Christmas to Remember Bundle, with some gorgeous (and ALSO carrying over – eventually!) Painted Christmas DSP.  And – for one of the holders – I grabbed a sentiment from the RETIRING Holly Jolly Wishes set.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Blessings of Home Sneak Peek Front-Card Fun Fold

Good morning.  It’s Tuesday, 7 Dec 2021.  Today we should all take just a moment to remember the events of eighty years ago.   It was a moment that plunged us into the Second World War – and changed us forever as a Nation.  Take a moment – honor those that lost their lives  – that day – and in the bloody years that followed.

My card today is a fun-fold (guess you guessed that from the title??) that is super easy.  Here it is: make a little tent card.  Stick it to a larger piece of cardstock.  Done. 😉

Of course – the beauty is in the details, right?  The details of this one include the Blessings of Home bundle, the Honeybee Home stamp set and the gorgeous Heart & Home DSP – ALL coming on 4 Jan 2022 in the new Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog!  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Bright Baubles Time of Giving Disappearing Nine Patch Christmas Card

Happy happy HAAAAWMMMP Day.  And….happy Wednesday-before-Thanksgiving-Eve!  Yes.  A week from tomorrow you’d best have that turkey thawed!  Do NOT wait until next Tuesday.  Trust me on this – you’ll be Googling “how to thaw my frozen turkey two days before Thanksgiving.”

Ask me how I know this. 😉

My card today is a fun one (I think!).  I saw this Disappearing Nine Patch technique on SplitCoast Stampers and wanted to give it a go.  So…I picked my fave DSP – the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP.  And I combined it with the Bright Baubles set – for the sentiment – and the Time of Giving Bundle for a cute tag!  Take a look see:

I was playing along with the Inspired By challenges…

And I selected many of the design elements based on the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I got Gift – Non Traditional Holiday Colors – Patterned Paper.  And Holiday – Silver/Gold – Patterned Paper! 🙂

I followed the instructions that Betty Traciak gave on her SCS tutorial – first cutting 9 1″ squares of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP and adhering them to a 3″ x 3″ square of Foam Adhesive Sheet (I decided to use that instead of an Adhesive Sheet).

Using my Paper Trimmer, I cut the square in half – and then cut each half in half.

I re-arranged the squares and adhered them to a 3″ x 3″ square of cardstock.  Then I trimmed the whole thing down to a 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ square with my Trimmer.  And…totally didn’t take a picture of this stage.  Sorry! 🙁

I wrapped two lengths of White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the square – securing it in the back with Glue Dots – to look like a wrapped present.  Then I adhered the whole thing to a Blushing Bride mat.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the gift to a Basic White panel and stamped the Bright Baubles sentiment in Misty Moonlight.   Then I matted the panel on a Blushing Bride mat to create the card front.

I used a Tailored Made Tag – with the Gift Giving die centered in it – to cut a Shimmery White cardstock tag.  Then I used the same Tailor Made Tag to cut a solid Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP tag.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the detailed Shimmery White tag to the solid Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP tag – then I adhered it to the top of the gift with Liquid Glue.

I tied a fancy bow from the White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon and adhered it over the top of the tag with a Glue Dot.

I added some small Blue Adhesive-backed Gems and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped a Time of Giving sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel.  In the corners, in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride, I added the stylized snowflake image from Time of Giving.  I added some Blue Adhesive-backed Gems in the middles of the snowflakes.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the stamped-off-once Blushing Bride snowflakes from Time of Giving on the front..

…and more Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love how that Disappearing Nine Patch technique worked to make my “gift” from Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP, don’t you?  I hope you’ll give it a go.  Bright Baubles has lots of fun sentiments, but I really like the size and font on this one that I used on the front.  I am also really loving how the Tailor Made Tags dies work so perfectly with the Gift Giving tags – the die set bundled with Time of Giving!  Such fun – and so handy as we head into the holidays!

I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Pattern Party Merry Snowflakes Christmas Card

Good morning – it’s Tuesday and Day One of the three-day Seasonal Sale!  If you haven’t already been shopping and stocking up on paper, ink and die sets – not to worry!  You’ve got THREE DAYS to cash in!  But…what if the INTERNET crashes tonight?!?

Good point – don’t risk it!  Get after it now!

I’ve got a fun little Christmas card for you today and it might have a ….little tiny sneaky peek of a new goody from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog! 😳😳😳

I pulled out the Merry Snowflakes stamp set and some…Pattern Party DSP (this is the cool Host Exclusive Set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog – get it FREE with an individual or workshop order over $180 in retail).  Take a look-see:

Do you see it?  The Sneaky Peek?

Maybe not yet!

The layout for this one is from the Global Design Project sketch challenge this week.

And the color palette is from the Just Add Ink challenge!

I started with…the Sneaky Peek! Let me introduce you to the Gingham Embossing Folder from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog!

You’ll be able to get it on 4 Jan (or…join my team this week – TRIPLE DIP cone! 😉 – and pre-order it on 1 Dec as a Demonstrator perk!).

I used this fun new embossing folder to emboss a card-front-sized piece of Basic White cardstock and then adhered it to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with Liquid Glue.

I pulled out the buffalo check paper from the host-exclusive Pattern Party DSP and, using Blending Brushes, colored a piece in Evening Evergreen and a piece in Blushing Bride.

Then I used the next-to-largest die in the Scalloped Contours Die set to cut one in each of the colors.

I adhered the Blushing Bride die cut with Liquid Glue – then popped the Evening Evergreen die cut on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a Wonderful Snowflakes embellishment.

Then I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere a length of Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon.

I cut a large Tasteful Labels circle die from some gold paper from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.  Cuz I could, I embossed the circle in the Gingham Embossing Folder and then used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

I stamped the Merry Snowflakes sentiment in Blushing Bride on a strip of Basic White, then I snipped a banner end with Paper Snips.

I popped the sentiment over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added an Evening Evergreen gem from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Merry Snowflakes sentiment in Blushing Bride on a Basic White panel and added an Evening Evergreen jewel.  In the corners, I stamped some Merry Snowflake snowflakes in stamped-off-TWICE Blushing Bride!

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and into the Thick Basic White card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more stamped-off-TWICE Blushing Bride snowflakes on the front…

…and some more Evening Evergreen-colored Pattern Party DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  So…this card shows how versatile the Pattern Party DSP (NOT a “traditional” Christmas paper, right??!) can be as a part of your card-making tool-chest!  You can get it for FREE, too – let me tell you how (Hint: my Online Host Club MIGHT be able to help with that! 😉 ).  And I love the wintry-pretty sentiments and snowflakes in the Merry Snowflakes set – that front sentiment is perfectly sized and perfectly stated!

I hope you like!

How fun is that Gingham Embossing Folder?  Might as well just go ahead and put it on your list so you’ll be ready when the new Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog becomes available to you! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Whimsy & Wonder Joy Fold Gift Card Holder with Video Tutorial

Well – good morning, it’s Friday again!  House cleaning day (whoo-hoo!) and Day 1 of OnStage!  Last night was fun and we saw a lot of Top Performers recognized for their achievements this year!  🙂

And speaking of…I want to send a HUGE THANK YOU out to ALL of you!!  I was tickled sideways to find myself at #34 in the Overall Demonstrator ranking in the US for the 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! year!!  I owe ALL of that to my amazing customers and Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew Team!  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻

If you were able to join me yesterday afternoon for my YouTube video, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me!  If not – but you’d like to watch the replay and see how to make this fun fold (with a hidden bonus!) – here’s ’tis!

I know.  I know.  HOW many times will I use the Whimsical Trees bundle and pretty Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP this week?!?  I’m sorry (not sorry!).  I just love it – and when I saw the sketch that I used…it was too perfect!  Just to mix it up a little, I DID use the Christmas Season stamp set for the sentiments – and it’s a fun fold.  AND a gift card holder.  So…totally different!  Take a look-see:

And here’s that sketch I was talking about – from the SugarPea Mix It Up challenge for November!

So – I saw the idea of using a Joy Fold card to make a Gift Card Holder somewhere on Facebook.  I carefully saved the post so I could give credit where credit is due but…it’s been disappeared!  🙁  Just know I wasn’t nearly clever enough to come up with this by my ownself!

I started with a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock that I scored at 3″ on the long side to make the large card base.  A 3 5/8″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side, created the small card base.

I matted some of the snowflake paper from Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on Mint Macaron and adhered them to the front small panel and the large back panel of the large Misty Moonlight card base.

I cut a piece of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP – in silver-foil stripes – and adhered it to the inside of the small card base using Liquid Glue.  I cut a smaller piece and used the scalloped oval in the Double Oval Punch to cut a half-circle out of one long edge.

I used a thin line of Liquid Glue  – right at the very edge! – to adhere that piece to the small card base to create the gift card holder.  Note: I only put glue on the two short sides and the non-punched long side.

I matted a piece of Misty Moonlight Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on Mint Macaron to create the card front for the small card base.

On some Mint Macaron paper from the DSP pack, I stamped the tree image from Whimsical Trees in Mint Macaron.  Using a second stamp in the set, I added Misty Moonlight lights to each of the trees and cut them with the matching die in the bundled Christmas Trees Die set.  I also cut the cool “open” tree die from the same Mint Macaron DSP.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three trees to the small card front.  Then I fussy cut a bunch of Christmas gifts from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP.  These are “piled” under the trees with Liquid Glue.

I tied a small silver bow from a piece of Simply Elegant Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Christmas Season sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and fussy cut it – roughly following the shape of the words.

I used my Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker to edge the sentiment, then used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the small card front.

I added a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and then adhered the card front to the front of the small card base.  Note: the small card base opens OPPOSITE a “normal” card, so make sure you’ve got it oriented correctly! 😉

For the inside of the small card base, I stamped the second Christmas Season sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I added the Whimsical Trees images in Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight – then I added a medium Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel by the sentiment.

I matted the panel on Mint Macaron and then adhered it inside the small card base.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the small card to the back panel of the larger card base – and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Whimsical Trees images on the front…

…and more of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I can’t overstate how much I love love love the entire Whimsy & Wonder Suite!  The colors in the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP are so much fun for the holidays and the images and die cuts in the Whimsical Trees and bundled Christmas Trees die set are perfect.  I borrowed a couple of the sweet Christmas Season sentiments to just slightly change up my message.  And…yes.  How cool is it to use a Joy Fold card as a Gift Card Holder?!?  🙂

I hope you like!
