I also played along with the TGIF Challenge this week!

I started with a piece of Night of Navy card stock that I embossed in the High Seas 3D Embossing Folder (yes – this is RETIRING, so…get it quick!). Then I matted it on a piece of Soft Suede for the card front.
The accordian fold is 4 1/4″ x 9″. I colored the “sky” with my Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Combo and the ground with my Crumb Cake Combo. Then, using the little “gravel” image in the Best Catch set, I stamped all over the “ground” in Soft Suede. I stamped the image two or three times without re-inking.

Next, I scored the panel with my Simply Scored tool at 1″, 2″, 4″ and 6″. I burnished the folds – starting with a “mountain” at 1″ and then valley (2″), mountain (4″) and valley (6″).
On the third panel, in Night of Navy ink, I stamped a sentiment from Best Catch. Then I adhered the folded panel to a Soft Suede mat and onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White – I made a big ole splotch of Old Olive using my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo. I just used both blends to scribble a big enough “background” to cut three of the grass dies in the Catch of the Day set. While I had it out, I also cut four of them from the Old Olive color in the Perennial Essence Vellum (Retiring).
I colored all the tops of the cattails with the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend.

The Best Catch bass is stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White and cut with the matching Catch of the Day die. Then I colored it with my Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils.
Finally, I stamped the fisher-dude in Soft Suede, and cut him with his die. He’s also colored with the Watercolor Pencils. His little “water” swirly is colored with the Balmy Blue Blends.
Using Liquid Glue (or Glue Dots for the vellum grasses), I adhered the pieces on various panels – being sure to not interfere with the folds! I nestled the bass in and amongst some grass…and used my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker to hand-draw a few birds in the corner.

The final piece is the sentiment. It’s a word cut with the Well Written Dies (yep – also retiring!). I cut three of them in Night of Navy and adhered them in a stack with Liquid Glue. Then I adhered just the first part of the sentiment to the first panel. and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment (this one is from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set – which is retiring, too!) in Night of Navy to a Whisper White panel. I colored some “shore” at the bottom of the panel and stamped the creel in Soft Suede and a hat in Crumb Cake. I lightly colored both images with my Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Suede mat and into my Night of Navy card base, and to adhere the card front and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more shoreline and Best Catch fishing gear on the front…

…and I added a little Come Sail Away DSP (you guessed it….going away!) on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! So – this card – with it’s Best Catch, Catch of the Day, Bonanza Buddies, Well Written, Come Sail Away DSP, Perennial Essence Vellum and High Seas 3D Embossing Folder (whew!) – is a true memoriam to some wonderful products that will be gone-baby-gone SOON! So – if you don’t have them in your stash, you need to remedy that right away! Remember – while the stamps will for sure be around thru the end of the catalog – ALL the rest is “while supplies last”. So…tarry not!
