Good morning! Guess what I – and all my team – and Demonstrators around the world – are doing right now? I’m pre-ordering from the new January – April 2024 Mini Catalog AND earning free goodies from the January – February 2024 Sale-a-Bration catalog! AND – anyone who JOINS now – can ALSO order from the new catalog and even fill their Starter Kits (which ships for FREE!) with new goodies! Whoo-hoo!
Oh – and I’m also ordering catalogs to mail out to all my customers! YEAH!
Today’s card is one that I demonstrated at our Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting this past weekend. It uses some cool products that I am SO happy are NOT retiring! The wunnermus Merriest Trees Bundle and Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder will be hanging around for a while! Whoo-hoo! I also used some Merry Bold & Bright DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was loosely inspired by the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge! I sort of turned it on it’s side.
This is a great way to use up some scraps of our pretty designer series paper. This Merry Bold & Bright DSP is now – sadly! – retired and no longer available. But…I bet that if you don’t have some of IT, then you for sure have some strips of paper that WOULD work perfectly!
I started by cutting the largest tree in the Merriest Trees die set from the center of a Basic White panel. Then I embossed the panel in the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
I set the panel onto a Basic White mat (not adhered – just set it in place!) and then used a pencil to lightly outline the tree onto the mat.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered multiple strips – of varying widths (3/8″ thru about 5/8″) of the Merry Bold & Bright DSP onto the card front.
Tip: try starting with strips about 3 1/2″ long. You want to be sure to completely cover the pencil-traced outline – but you do NOT want the strips to extend past the card front – cuz then you could see them around the edges! Trim with Paper Snips as needed!
With all the DSP strips in place, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the embossed card front into position. Tip: I used more Dimensionals than usual – I really wanted the panel supported – especially around the die cut opening.
On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Merriest Trees sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink. Using Paper Snips, I cut a banner in the left end of the strip.
Then – I adhered the strip to the card front – aligning the right side with the edge of the card front.
Using the pretty star die in the Merriest Trees set, I cut out a Gold Foil star.
I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere the star to the top of the tree and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the tree-shaped sentiment from Merriest Trees in Shaded Spruce on a Basic White panel. Over the top, I stamped the little star in Crushed Curry ink. This sentiment/image combo just makes me happy!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and then into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little Merriest Trees star stamped three times in Crushed Curry on the front….
…and more of the Merry Bold & Bright DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I was so happy to see that the Merriest Trees stamp set and dies are going to carry over! It’s really one of my faves! One thing to note – the BUNDLE pricing won’t carry over. So…if you don’t have this set – grab it now while you can still save 10%! Or – BETTER idea!! Join the team right now – put NEW CATALOG goodies in your Starter Kit. THEN – buy this bundle and get the 10% off PLUS your 20% Demonstrator Discount! How’s that for saving some 💵 💵 💵!?!
I hope you like!
