Mary, I look at your inspirational site almost every day. Thanks so much for your commitment to publish something every day. I often use your ideas as a basis for cards, many for “Cards & Conversations” which I host every month. Those cards are changed in some way, sometimes just colours used, but you have really helped me through the years.
I’m still a bit bummed that we don’t get the Pooh bear set, but …. It’s fun to see what you do with it.
Finn and Addy are also a draw to your site. Nothing like loveable animals to keep me looking! By the way, what happened to Finn’s paw? I’ve enjoyed your pictures, but don’t know the start of the story. Hope he’s soon in top shape.
So, thanks so much, Mary.
Donna from Three Hills, about an hour’s drive north of Calgary, Alberta. (Canada)
Hey Donna – thank you so much for the kind words! I am so happy that the cards I post are helpful! :). Finny got a hot spot or some sort of little sore on his paw while we were on vacation. He refuses to NOT lick it -so…the cone is necessary! It’s on the mend, though, so…hoping it’s not for much longer!! HE hopes that, too! Hugs! 🙂
Poor Finn! Not only the indignity but STARVATION!
Yes – he’s quite obviously on death’s door! Just ask him!! LOL! Thanks, Linda! 🙂
Such a beautiful card Mary! Great fun fold design! 🙂 Oh my…poor Finn!!
Yeah – not his fave thing. But it’s working!! Yeah! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Awesome card. Love the fun fold. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, Kat! 🙂
Mary, I love your card too! And of course who doesn’t love that beautiful “Fern & Flora” bundle. The paper is to die for!! Thank you for including the measurements for the faux steps fun fold. We really love your card here at Try A Sketch On Tuesday!!! -Donna
Thank you so much, Donna! This fold is awesome! As is the DSP! Glad you liked the measurements! Appreciate you stopping by! 🙂
Wow! Never having had horses, this was news to me.
Pretty card, as usual. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. When does Finn get rid of the cone?
He’s mostly done with it – he just needed to leave the thing alone for a couple three days. So…it’s almost behind him! Thanks, Julie! 🙂
Such a pretty card! Love the way that you’ve used the paper! Poor girl, she got a little sleepy with the happy medicine. 😉 Hope that she recovered quickly!
She did – and was ready for a peppermint and back out to graze and sleep in the shade!! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Love your card, Mary! This DSP is one of my all time favorites!
Wayne…is there anything he cannot do? 😆
Uhm…hmmm. Not that I’ve found! He’s pretty danged handy! Thanks, Pat! 🙂
No complaints here-Moonlit Flora DSP is totally awesome! And, Cady honey, I feel ya! I was at dentist 2.5 hrs today😒
Oh yuk – HERS was WAAAAY shorter!! Hope you’ve recovered, my friend! 🙂
Poor ole Finn, if it not one thing,( the cone) it’s another.(the ring pillow.
Right?! It’s been a real trial for him! 😉
I guess my dentist visits are not so bad afterall.
Hope Cady had a very good health report
We’re waiting for blood work – but yes! She’s very healthy and they’re impressed with a pony of her age being as NOT-pudgy as she is! 🙂
Such a Great Trip you take is along today in your photos! Thanks, your the best Team Leader Mary.
I’m off to work early, but I’ll be looking more, later at these pics
Yay🎉🎉🎉 for Finn he’s dropped the “donut” Cone!! A cone-less dog is a Happy dog!!!!
Yep – cone-LESS is best! Unless it has ice cream in it!! LOL! Thanks, Heidi – glad you enjoyed the pictures! 🙂
What an amazing trip. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed them – it was wonderful! 🙂

Hi Mary, This is Jan Stutzman. I have subscribed to your emails and have followed you for several yrs. I am just a cardmaker who loves sitting in her “Jan Cave” (make`shift craft room from storage closet)making cards and enjoying tutorials for new ideas. I loved seeing your photos from your Alaska trip. We are planning an Alaskan Cruise next June (kids arranging) and I wondered what you found to be the most valuable things to take and ideas on clothing choices. I’m at a loss. I love your tutorials and always feel so at home in your craft room. Thanks for sharing yourself, and that great sense of humor. Jan
Hey Jan! WHOOO-HOOO! An Alaskan cruise is going to be wonderful! Clothes – I had my SU gray zip up jacket – sort of a heavy wool-feel thing (no hood). My down vest and a light down jacket. And a raincoat/windbreaker thingy. Also, I took several merino wool short sleeve t-shirts. We put our jackets in my backpack and then had them if we needed them. Depending on what you’re doing – you’ll be cold, then hot, then cold – so layers will be your friend. We were cold on a few days cuz it was drizzly/raining. And we were cold on the expedition boat because of the wind. On the cruise – I wore mostly short sleeves and light pants – but I almost always wore a sweater. On the excursions – I wore the short sleeves and pants – and had the layers to go on/off as needed.
If you can find magnetic clips – attach them to the walls (most cruise ship walls/ceilings are metal) and they’re great for holding excursion tickets – lanyards (with your sea pass or equivalent) – daily schedules, etc. And we also take an over-the-door shoe organizer – with mesh pockets. We hang it on the inside of the bathroom door and it holds ALL the things!!
Have the BEST time – and thank you so much for the kind words!
Mary, thank you for sharing your pics with us. I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise but never had the finances or opportunity. Now I’m too old and not physically/healthy enough to go. Your pictures are stunning to see part of the world I’ll never see for myself. Thank you again.
Oh Patricia – I think you’d be surprised how well a cruise can be suited to you! And it is so wonderful – I hope that you’ll get a chance to do it! So happy you enjoyed the pics! M
Enjoyed all your pics on your Alaska trip!
I noticed in your picture with Finn on the couch, that you ride English. Do you ride – pleasure or show your Saddlebred? Are they a solid color or Spotted?
Hey Lily! I started my riding life on Saddlebreds – five gaited, three gaited, saddle seat equitation! We had a pinto National Show Horse much later in my life. He was a big ole baby. He’s gone now and all we have is our one Halflinger mare. I don’t really ride anymore – and Cady doesn’t seem to have any quarrel with that!! 🙂
Fab pics and many congrats on earning the trip! I did am Alaskan cruise 2 years ago (we sailed.from Vancouver) and it was amazing!
Your pics brought back some wonderful memories!
Glad you enjoyed it, Deb – hope you get to make another trip soon! 🙂
Card is beautiful but more important a GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FINN!
Thank you, Bernice! 🙂
Beautiful card!
Thank you! 🙂
Your card is a perfect masculine card and I pinned it because you know why. Happy birthday, Finn. You’re the man and I hope you are letting your paw heal!
He’s trying but…it’s SOOOO easy to lick! And – it tastes good, too (apparently!!). Thanks, Karen! 🙂
Amazing card!! Love the layering, the arch die cuts are perfect! Happy, happy birthday to Finn!!! 🙂
Thank you, ma’am! 🙂
Happy birthday Finn
Thanks, Nancy! 🙂
So sweet. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Birthday Finn. I should send you a card, but don’t know the address?
Thanks, Mary Katherine! Send me a DM on FB and I’ll send the address! 🙂
Happy birthday Finn. Have a great day and hopefully soon you’ll be able to get rid of that cone for good.
Thanks so much, Jean! 🙂
Beautiful card! Happy Birthday to the Finn-meister! Glad he is doughnut-free and cone-free for his special day😁
LOL – yes, he’s happy, too! Thanks, Judi! 🙂
Pretty card, Mary. I love the soft colors in the DSP.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY FINN! Sending big hugs and kisses your way. ❤️🎂
Thanks very much, Pat!! Passing those along! 🙂
I love this card. It’s just perfect for those males in our lives.
Could you tell me where you get your wide sticky note tape from?
I have some, but not that wide.
Thanks a mill!
Hey Susan – so glad you liked the card! I got that tape from Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0177SAN5Y?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
Enjoy!
Thanks so much for the Amazon link.
You’re the best!!!
BTW, I love ALL your pets. Especially Finn. I’m a dog person, even though right now we have 4 cats. 🙂
You bet – it’s pretty handy to have around! Thanks for the kind words. And – I’m a cat person – with only dogs!! LOL!
Thanks, Mary.
You’re the best!
Glad you liked it – thanks so much! 🙂
WOW!! This is beautiful Mary 🙂 Love everything about this card. That background DSP and the tree ring EF are perfect!!
Thanks – it’s a fun new bundle – and I love this new embossing folder, too! 🙂

Thank you, ma’am! 🙂
Oh my goodness, that’s beautiful Mary! Love the way that you incorporated the ornament into the sentiment! 🙂
Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
WOW! Awsome card and love the way you used the center panel as your vocal point asing our TSOT sketch. Beautiful and creative card. Thank you for sharing this with us at TSOT.
Thanks so much, Suzanne – appreciate you stopping by!! 🙂
I think my keyboard spelling is a little messed up… lol
LOL – I read what you were trying to say! So – when I saw THIS comment – I had to go back and see what you meant!! LOL!
Such a pretty fall card! Love the embossed panel, perfect way to use that folder set! Looks like the perfect way to spend the day with no lights…just keep finding “new” toys to play with. Hope that the power came back on last night!!
Yes – it finally did. Just in time to cool the house back down so we didn’t melt into puddles when we went to bed! Phew! :). Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Love that you incorporated our sketch onto your triple faux step card. The patterned paper you chose is gorgeous and the die cuts are so pretty. Thanks for joining us at Try A Sketch On Tuesday.

Me, too! I’m for sure going to keep it like that – SOOOO mush easier on a farm dog!! Thanks, Heidi! 🙂
Awesome card, Mary. Great explanation of this cool fun fold. You may have tempted me to purchase this bundle.
You’re right, Addy DOES have cuteness down to an art. 😍
Hope so – it’s really fun! Thanks, Pat! She IS a cutie! 🙂
