Happy Happy Sunday, y’all!  Hope you’ve had a great weekend so far!  I spent yesterday getting all my things from the retreat and my new November 2026 Online Exclusives pre-order put away and organized!  So – at least I’m now back to where I can start creating again without moving piles from one spot to another every time I need to use my cutter!!

Today’s card is the fun fold that I took for everyone to make at the Retreat – and it’s the FIRST in my 2026 Twelve Saturdays of Christmas Cards series!  I used the darling Christmas Crew bundle and some Timeless Christmas DSP to make a fun gift card holder! Take a look-see:

I started by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock at 2″ from one end and then at 2 1/2″ from the opposite end – on the long side. Fold both score lines IN.

Then, to make the slide, I scored a 4 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock at 2″ from one end and 1/2″ from the other end on the long side.  I folded the 1/2” line as a mountain and the 2” line as a valley – to make it to look like a “Z”.

Using a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, I punched a half circle in the short end of the 2″ side of the mechanism.

I put short pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on each side of the 2” side of the slider – being sure to keep it as close to the edges as possible.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 2 1/4″ x 4 1/8” piece of Poppy Parade polka dot Timeless Christmas DSP to the inside of the slider – placing it between the two score lines.

Then I closed the slider – using the Tear & Tape to “seal” the pocket.

Under the punched out half-circle, I stamped the Christmas Crew sentiment in Poppy Parade ink. On either side, I stamped the Christmas Crew candy canes on either side in Poppy Parade ink and colored them using Dark Poppy Parade and Light Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends.

I put Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top 1/2″ section of the white slider mechanism (check the template for the slide ⬆️) and adhered it on the inside of the card base – lining up the end of the slider with the top score line of the card base.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 3 7/8” x 5 3/8” piece of Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP to the inside of the card base.

I put Tear & Tape on the edges of the 2″ portion of the card base and used it to adhere the flap in place – “capturing” the slider mechanism as I closed the panel. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the 1 7/8” x 5 3/8” piece of Poppy Parade polka dot Timeless Christmas DSP to the bottom 2” panel of the card base.

For the front, I started by using Liquid Glue to adhere the 2 3/8” x 5 3/8” of Poppy Parade plaid Timeless Christmas DSP to the top panel of the card base.

Then I used the next-to-largest dot-dash-edge Tile Garden die to cut out a Poppy Parade square.  I adhered the square to the top panel of the card base using Liquid Glue.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the a lengths (about a 27” piece!) of White 3/8” Textured Ribbon to the Poppy Parade square. Note: when you make this, there oughta be about 9 1/2” of ribbon to the LEFT of the middle of the die cut square – that way you can wrap the ribbon around the back and tie on the left side.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the square.

Using the the next-to-smallest crimped-edge Tile Garden die, I cut out a Basic White square and adhered it – using those Stampin’ Dimensionals  – over the ribbon.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the bear and hat images from Christmas Crew in Early Espresso Ink. In the sign- and cheated to the bottom – I stamped the Christmas Crew sentiment in Poppy Parade ink.

I colored the bear with the Light and Dark Pecan Pie (body), Light Crumb Cake (muzzle) and Light Basic Black (nose) Stampin’ Blends and the hat with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.

With the coordinating dies in the set, I cut out the bear and the hat.  And I also cut out a mustache and beard (it’s one die that cuts both at once).  I adhered the hat, beard and mustache to the bear with Liquid Glue.

I cut out four Christmas Crew trees – two from gold Timeless Metallic Specialty Paper and two from the Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP and adhered them to the white square with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped Mr. Bear over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added six clear Adhesive-backed Snowflakes and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got two Christmas Crew on the front…

…and more of the Timeless Christmas DSP on the envelope flap!
