Good morning and happy New Years Eve on the last day of 2019 and the DECADE!! Hope whatever plans you have for this evening will be fun and safe. Ours include…bed. Probably by 9:30 as usual. MIGHT wake up around midnight IF we happen to hear any fireworks. Chance are slim.
Yes. We ARE party animals! 😉
Now – before I go any further… Stampin’ Up! just gave us news this morning. Write this down!
Cutting Blades Multipack Available January 3
The Cutting Blades Multipack (item 152391) from the January–June 2020 Mini Catalog will be available on January 3, with the beginning of the catalog sales period. The pack includes four blades for $12.00!!
There are just a few more days before you can get your hands on the blades and ALL the great goodies I’ve been teasing you with for the past few weeks! The new 2020 Jan-Jun Mini catalog and Sale-A-Bration flyer goes LIVE in just three days!! Whoo-hoo!!
Speaking of new catalogs – I’ve got another little look at some of the Sale-A-Bration freebies. The Happy Birthday To You stamp set (a $50 level item) and the Golden Honey Specialty DSP (also a $50 level item), pairs up with the Honey Bee Bundle from the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog. Take a look-see:
This monochromatic color palette comes from this week’s Sunday Stamps color challenge!
I started by matting some of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP on So Saffron for the card front. I colored the bees and flowers on the DSP with my So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker.
Then I cut a piece of So Saffron and one of Golden Honey Specialty DSP with the largest Stitched So Sweetly frame die. I adhered them at an angle with Liquid Glue. About here is where I realized I’d been hitting this “angled panel” layout pretty hard lately – sorry! 🙁
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped three flowers and the small bee from the Honey Bee set in Basic Gray ink. Then I cut them all out with their matching dies in the Detailed Bee Dies (bundled with the Honey Bee stamp set!). I colored the bee stripes and flowers with my So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker.
I stamped the sentiment from Honey Bee in Basic Gray on So Saffron and cut it out with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly frame die.
I adhered the flowers to the card front with Liquid Glue and popped the sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I stuck Mr. Bee on with Liquid Glue.
I tied a tiny Linen Thread bow and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue. Then I used my Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blend to color a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and stuck them here and there. And that was it for the card front!
On the inside, I stamped a big sentiment from the Happy Birthday To You stamp set in Basic Gray on Whisper White. Then I added some little bees in Smoky Slate – colored with my Light So Saffron Stampin’ Blend. I finished with a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel colored with the Dark So Saffron Blend.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a So Saffron mat and into my Basic Gray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Smoky Slate and So Saffron bees on the front…
…and more of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I’ve got this one in mind for a bee-loving friend of mine! I really love the whole group of bee-goodies! The Honey Bee stamp and it’s bundled Detailed Bee Die set in the Mini catalog and the Golden Honey Specialty DSP – free with a $50 purchase in the Sale-a-Bration flyer! And the Happy Birthday To You set (also free with a $50 purchase) has the perfect sentiments – and even a big ole cake! I hope you like!
So – the Honey Bee bundle is a part of my Special Bundle #6 – The Don’t Worry Bee Happy Bundle – as well as a whole bunch of other goodies – including the Timeless Tropical bundle and DSP. Be sure to check it out!
AND – when you order this bundle, you’ll get a roll of 5/16″ Braided Burlap Trim FREE and you’ll qualify for 3 $50 Sale-A-Bration rewards OR 1 $100 and 1 $50 reward. Maybe…some Golden Honey Specialty DSP to round out the bee-theme?? 😉
