Good morning and happy Friday! It’s a momentous Friday, for sure. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that it’s been 25 years since the planes were flown into the Towers and the Pentagon and almost into the White House. As I’m sure is the case for many of you – I remember that day all too well.
Today’s card is a sympathy or encouragement card – and it spotlights the new Frosted Pinecones stamp set – with its wonderful masks! I pulled sentiments from the new Thinking of You stamp set – and put it all on Wood Grain Wonders DSP! Take a look-see:
I started by stamping the large Frosted Pinecones image in Mossy Meadow ink in the corner of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Wood Grain Wonders DSP – I used the Basic Beige colored paper.
Using the third-from-largest Everyday Arches die, I cut from the middle of the panel.
I adhered the outer portion of the panel to a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock.
Using some re-positionable adhesive, I secured the die cut to my work surface. Using the first three masks of the Frosted Pinecones set and a Small Blending Brush, I colored the pinecone with Pecan Pie ink (for all three masks).
Using the 4th mask, I lightly added Old Olive ink to the pine boughs. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the completed arch back in place on the card front.
I tied a bow from a double-length of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.
On another piece of the Basic Beige Wood Grain Wonders DSP, I stamped a Thinking of You sentiment in Early Espresso ink. Then I cut it out with the Three Banner Punch.
I adhered the sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I added some Mossy Meadow Natural Matte Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Thinking of You sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock. Then I stamped the Frosted Pinecones image in the corner and colored it with the masks.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Basic Beige card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Frosted Pineconesimage stamped and colored on the front…
…and more Wood Grain Wonders DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Frosted Pinecones – even without using the beautiful die set! – is a wonderful and beautiful set – perfect for cards for all kinds of occasions! Just change the sentiment – check the Thinking of You set (ALSO great even without ITS bundled die!) for some perfect sentiments to get YOUR message across in a pretty, woodsy way!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Finn went to his doctor on Wednesday for his annual need-a-second-mortgage exam – you know…shots, heartworm tests, etc.
It’s not his fave – he likes Dr. Chris and the ladies in the office but…they have sticky things – and they like to get VERY personal on VERY short acquaintance.
If you know what I mean! 😉
So – he gets pretty warm! The cool floor is nice, though, so…he tried out SEVERAL spots!
By the door.
By me.
Then Dr. Chris came back with the listen-y thing – and he had to be helped to not pant…
He’s the bestest boy ever!
But – once all the listening and the squeezing and the STICKS….
Under the table seemed like the best idea!
HIS hard part was over…now…time for Mom to do the cha-CHING!!
Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
For today’s card for a friend, I reached back a little to one of my fave suites – the Moonlit Flora suite and used some of the gorgeous DSP and the coordinating Fern & Flora bundle. AND – a little Swiss Dots hot foiling in….PINK! Take a look-see:
Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well!
For the past little while, Stampin’ Up! has been giving us two or three new All Inclusive kits each month – and September is no exception! This time we’ve got a card kit and a home decor kit. I recently got my Floral Promenade card kit and wanted to put them together right away!
I opened up the box – and – not too many minutes laters – had eight really pretty cards ready to go. Take a look-see:
Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Halloween Fun! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
My card today is a simple fun fold – called a Triple Panel Standing card – and it lets the super cute Spooktacular 6″ x 6″ DSP do all the work! I added some sentiments and images from the Oh My Fright stamp set to make this easy Halloween card. Take a look-see:
Happy Labor Day, y’all! I’m guessing you’ve got the day off so I hope that you’ll enjoy the time with family and friends!! 🙂 And don’t forget – no need to go to the mailbox!!

Happy half-way-thru-the-weekend, y’all! Hope it’s going well and that you haven’t just melted into a puddle!
Today’s card features one of my very favorite new Suites – the Sunflower Fields suite – with it’s amazing Sunflower Fields DSP and the Radiant Sunflowers bundle. I mean. Who doesn’t love sunflowers!? And – it’s a super easy fun fold, too! Take a look-see:
Good morning and happy weekend! It is truly September in Georgia. The calendar is trying to make us think it’s Fall but…Mother Nature says…hold my sweet tea and watch this! I CAN see that the sun is shifting downward in the sky but…that’s about the only inkling that summer is coming to an end. My greatest worry is that Cady will see that the days are getting a little shorter and will start to sprout her winter coat. While it’s still 95 during the day. That’ll be fun. 🙁
As always, I’ve got a little sneaky peek at the card we’ll be making tonight when I go live – at 7pm Eastern – over on my Stamps-N-Lingers YouTube channel. I’ll give you a little hint. It’s a…sorta…fun fold!
Good morning and…happy Friday!! Whooo-hoo! Hope you’ve got some fun plans for the weekend!
Today’s card is a fun fold – called a Tower Fun Fold – that I’ve decorated with the pretty new Mosaic Garden DSP – such gorgeous paper! – and some images and sentiments from the new Round About Messages stamp set. They’re both in our new Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog. Take a look-see:
You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards – at this month’s Creative Creases Challenge! 😎 We’re ALWAYS wanting to see pretty fun folds so…I hope hope hope you’ll make one (or three!) and come share them with us! 🙂 Continue reading →
