My card today is a clean and simple project for you featuring the new 2022-2024 In Colors, using the uber-cool new Alphabest stamp set with the bundled Best Label Punch. And I added a little texture to the card with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder. Take a look-see:

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – Ann’s got a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us this week! 🙂 I LOVE Tic-Tac-Toe challenges and I know it’ll give YOUR creative mojo a bump, too! So I hope you’ll come and play along with us!

I used one of those $1M Sales Achiever sets today – it’s called the Life is Beautiful set. It’s a bit of a CASE from the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog samples! I paired it with a Celebration Labels die, some Poinsettia Place DSP and the lovely Gold Cards and Envelopes. Take a look-see:
And…here’s our Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week – I do hope you’ll come and play along with us! Let’s see…I went across the top, down the right side, thru the mid….oh. Huh. If I’d made my sentiment a Thank You…I’d have had Yahtzee!! 😉
I played along with the Inspire. Create. challenge….
And it also played well with the Global Design Project challenge!
I started with one of the Gold Cards (check these out on page 51 in the mini – they’re gorgeous!) for my card base. I adhered a panel of wood-grain Poinsettia Place DSP at an angle using Liquid Glue.
Next, I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla in the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it as well with Liquid Glue.
Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the tree trunk image from Life Is Beautiful in Soft Suede ink. Then I added some of the stylized flowers/leaves in stamped-off-once Terracotta Tile, and full strength Mango Melody and Bumble Bee. For each of the colors, I stamped the image twice without re-inking (that helps to give depth and more colors – without using more colors!).
Then I added the sweet birdhouse in Soft Suede – and cut the image with the third-from-smallest (that’s the middle sized die!) Celebration Labels Dies – making sure the tree “spilled” off the edge.
On another small piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the birdhouse image again in stamped-off-once Terracotta Tile ink and fussy cut just the house. That little house got popped over the stamped image with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I used Stampin’ Seal Adhesive to add two short lengths of Terracotta Tile ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.
I stamped the Life is Beautiful sentiment in Terracotta Tile ink on Very Vanilla and cut it with the smallest rectangle Stitched So Sweetly die. This is popped over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a few Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, popped the die cut onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Life is Beautiful birdhouse in Soft Suede in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel. A few of the flowers/leaves around the birdhouse seemed right, too!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere it – and a Poinsettia Place DSP mat – at angles on the inside of the card – and the card was done!
The front of the coordinating Gold Envelope got the birdhouse image three times in Soft Suede…
And – I left the already-shimmery-gold envelope flap in its natural state! 😉
Et Voila! Life Is Beautiful is a gorgeous stamp set – with different “leaves” to use to change up the look/season of your tree!
Lee Ann Greff did a great job, didn’t she?? I hope you like – and will add this one to your stash!

On 10 August, the state of Iowa was hit with a derecho storm. If you have seen any videos of it – it truly looked like a hurricane had hit Iowa. Uhm – because it totally had – winds in the 100+mph range (that’s Cat 2 territory, folks!) With no warning to speak of. To say it was devastating is a bit of an understatement! 🙁
As a result of the storm, at least 43% of the corn and soybeans grown in the state were lost. Which will be seen in the supermarkets where you and I get our food! But beyond all that – many in that state are hurting, have lost their homes, schools and businesses and some are still without power (12+ days after the storm and with daytime temps in the 90’s ). Many farm families lost everything and are left with a huge mess to clean up prior to planting next spring. With so much destruction, they can really use our help!
There’s an organization in Cedar Rapids, IA, called the Iowa Giving Crew, a Cedar Rapids based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that’s helping to get power restored to those still waiting, is feeding those in need, provides 3 meals a day and is helping with the cleanup. They’ve got a Facebook page that you can see here with photos and details about the help they’re providing.
In an effort to help, I’ve set a goal of donating $500 to the Iowa Giving Crew.

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is For the Girls/Ladies! We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I went a pretty obvious route with this one – and pulled out my Dressed to Impress bundle – plus the uber-gorgeous Best Dressed DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the sketch side of this week’s FUSION challenge.
And – I played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge – across the top and down the right side, too!!
This one is super simple so…buckle up!
I started off by matting some Best Dressed DSP on Petal Pink for the card front.
Then I cut the largest Stitched Shapes circle die from a piece of Whisper White and embossed it in the Ornate Florals 3D Embossing Folder.
I matted the circle on a Petal Pink scalloped circle (largest scalloped die in the Layering Circles dies). Then I adhered the whole thing to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Whisper White – I stamped the Dressed to Impress lipstick image three times in Tuxedo Black. Using the coordinating die in the All Dressed Up die set, I cut them all out.
Using my Petal Pink and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Combos, I colored the images, then adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue. Yes. I am old. If I was young and all hip and stuff, I’d have used my Pretty Peacock blends for the lipstick color!! 😉
I stamped the word “fabulous” – from Dressed to Impress – in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White and cut it with the label die in the All Dressed Up set.
Then I stamped “Hello” in Lovely Lipstick and fussy cut the word.
I popped the sentiment label over the lipsticks with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered the fussy cut word with Liquid Glue.
A single Rhinestone Basic Jewel on the sentiment finished off the card front.
On the inside, I stamped a Dressed to Impress sentiment in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White. I added the smaller swath image in stamped-off-once Lovely Lipstick. Across the bottom, I added a Petal Pink-matted strip of Best Dressed DSP.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Dressed to Impress lipsticks on the front…
…and more of the pretty Best Dressed DSP on the envelope flap.
Et voila! I love love love this Best Dressed DSP, don’t you? It’s just so darned pretty! And it’s wonderful when combined with the Dressed to Impress stamp set and bundled All Dressed Up dies!

Good morning again, y’all! I just wanted to send a quick….
Yesterday was a big day for me. I’d gotten the UPS text the day prior saying to expect something from Morris Meetings – they’re our travel agency for SU! Incentive Trips!
So…I was on pins-and-needles. And…of course…it was the day UPS didn’t deliver until after 8pm. I’d actually decided they were going to skip me and make me wait another day!
But then….the text came and Finny and I were on the way to the gate!
Not gonna lie – did a little happy-dance when I pulled it out of the bag!
I pushed that golf cart to the limit – yes, we sped along at the high rate of 3 mph! – and got back to the house lickety split. Figured it would be nice for Wayne and I to open it together! Considering…
Lookee what was inside…
And THAT contained a really nice leather wallet – with lots of room for business cards and credit cards and probably even our passports!
Inside was our flight information – we leave on 3 July (Wayne was like…wait, what?? – that’s like…SOON!) and will be home on the 14th. We’ve got a few days planned with Amy and her family in Rome ahead of the cruise (and our Russian son Igor will be joining us for that bit!). We also found our name tags and holders – which are handy for holding our Royal Caribbean door key (see? we’re like old-hands now, we know what to expect!). And leather luggage tags.
And of course – the day-by-day schedule. When we’re at-sea and when there are SU! meetings (where we’ll get to see the new goodies for the holidays!) and when the parties happen!
That one deserves a little more perusing and ooh-ing and aahing, I think!
