Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a sketch challenge today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I wanted to play one last time with a couple of goodies that are leaving us on 4 Jan – the Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP and the Dove of Hope stamp set with its pretty Detailed Dove Dies. I also pulled out Gathered Leaves which….yes. THIS one hurts me. I love this set and will miss it terribly! On a brighter note, though…a few of these are on sale in the Year-End Clearance!! Be sure to check it out! Now – take a look-see at how they all came together!

And – here’s our layout for this week.
And I pulled my color palette from the Sunday Stamps challenge.

I started with a piece of the Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on Cherry Cobbler for the card front.
Then I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler using a Stitched Rectangle Die – embossed it in one of the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders – and adhered it at a jaunty angle with Liquid Glue.

I used the same size Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Dove of Hope in Early Espresso in the corner (making sure it would be straight when it was on the card).
I stamped the branch image from Dove of Hope in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, colored it with my Dark Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used the Beautiful Boughs die set to cut two small boughs from Shaded Spruce cardstock and one medium bough from Pear Pizzaz.

I also cut two bronze Brushed Metallic cardstock leaves using the Gathered Leaves dies.
Have I mentioned these dies are leaving us forever soon? 😢😢😢
And – finally – I cut a Cherry Cobbler berry die from the Poinsettia Dies.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped two of the Dove of Hope images in Tuxedo Black and cut them with their dies in the Detailed Dove die set.
I made the collage by first adhering the pine boughs and metallic leaves with Liquid Glue. With a Glue Dot, I added a figure-8 bow made from a couple loops of Linen Thread. I also used a Glue Dot to adhere a Gold Hoop Embellishment. Finally – I added the Cherry Cobbler berry die.
Then I popped the large Dove of Hope over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I colored the sprig on the second dove with my Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and popped it onto the card front in the top corner.
Finally, I added a few Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestones and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Dove of Hope sentiment in Early Espresso on a Whisper White panel. In the corner I added the bough and dove – coloring them the same as I’d done on the front. Then I added another Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the bough and dove on the front…

…and more Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! The Dove of Hope stamp set and matching Detailed Dove Dies are gorgeous and really wonderful for Christmas! And – after 4 Jan – you won’t be able to get them! Nor will you be able to get any of the wunnermus Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP. And – maybe I mentioned that Gathered Leaves is ALSO leaving?? Did I mention that….it’s on SALE right now for just $13!?!? Yeah – that’s 50% off! Get it!

I hope you like!
