Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Succulent Garden Sneak Peek!

Mornin’, y’all!  Well.  Here we are on the last day of 2016.  Can you even believe that?!  Pretty soon it’s going to be 2050 and we’ll all be driving around in flying cars and have robot housekeepers named Rosie (yes, they’ll all be “Rosie”).  I’m pretty sure that’s going to happen!  I saw it on the Jetsons, so…it’s a true thing.

My friend (Aunty Jan), sent me a couple of pictures of Finn’s doggie day camp from Thursday.  Turns out he was pretty enamored of a red Kong bone.  Since he’s an only child, sharing isn’t really a thing for him – the cats seldom want anything to do with his toys.  So he figured the red Kong bone was his.  All.  His.

img_6293
But Jax – their 8 month old lab – thought…maybe not.  So, it took their Aunty Scout to moderate the ensuing discussion.

I wish I could have seen the next few minutes, don’t you?!? 🙂

So – my card for today is another sneak peek of the Succulent Garden Suite – but…guess what??  The sneak peeks are almost at an end – pretty soon now, y’all will be able to get all the 2017 Occasions catalog goodies for yourself!  But, for now, I used a few stamps and dies from the Oh So Succulent bundle, a little Succulent Garden DSP  – and a…surprise!  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Any Occasion Sneak Peek!

Well.  Good Friday morning to y’all!  Hope your week is going well – and that the last two days of 2016 will be uneventful!  Or…eventful – whichever you prefer!

Igor has gone.  Seems hard to believe he was even here!  But, it was a wonderful visit – we had lots of catching up to do after 21 years, as you might imagine.  Once we got back from the airport on Wednesday, Igor took a family picture!  He’s getting big, isn’t he?!?

family-portrait

Yesterday we went up to the Mall of Georgia for him to do some last minute gift/souvenir shopping and then we dropped him at the airport in the evening for his flight.  Finn – so he wouldn’t have to spend the day in his kennel, cuz…kennel! – went over to his friends’ house for a doggie day camp.  He had a very good time with Scout and the other children!  He was tired enough when we got him home that I’m not entirely sure he even noticed that Igor’s not here! 🙂

Now my card for today is a CASE-piration.  I saw a cute sample for the Any Occasion stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration flyer and used it as a jumping off point for my card.  It’s similar to the sample, but I’ve made some changes to it, so…a CASE-piration!  Take a look-see:

any-occasion-hello-4-stamps-n-lingers
This one was quick and easy!  I started with a Crumb Cake card base and used a piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock to add a mat.  I cut a piece of card stock the same size as normal (4″ x 5 1/4″ ), sliced it on the diagonal with my Stampin’ Trimmer and SNAILd it to the card front.  The next layer is from the new (2017 Occasions) Succulent Garden DSP.  I cut a normal sized card front (3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″), measured in a 1/4″ from the diagonal corners and made a tiny mark with a pencil.  Then I sliced from mark-to-mark and SNAILd it over the mat – with the bottom left corner flush with the mat!

any-occasion-hello-2-stamps-n-lingers

The central art heart is a piece of Whisper White card stock that I cut with the Sweet & Sassy Framelit.  I made the sentiment banner using the various elements in the Any Occasion stamp set.  First I stamped a “string” in Crumb Cake ink.  Then I added a Crumb Cake “Hello” and finally stamped several little banners in Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral.  The little heart below the banner is also from Any Occasion, stamped in Calypso Coral.

any-occasion-hello-8-stamps-n-lingers
I popped the heart over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I added a couple of Linen Thread bows with a couple of dabs of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, a heart from the new Sending Love Embellishments with Liquid Glue, and one Peekaboo Peach heart from the 2017-2018 In Colors Enamel Shapes.  And the card front was done!

On the inside, I made a couple more Any Occasion banners from Crumb Cake, Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral on a Whisper White panel and added a couple more hearts.

any-occasion-hello-5-stamps-n-lingers
Then I SNAILd it to a double mat – one piece of the Succulent Garden DSP and one of Peekaboo Peach card stock – and then into my card base, and the card was done!

For my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added some Any Occasion banners and hearts across the front…

any-occasion-hello-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and added some Succulent Garden DSP to the envelope flap.  I did it a little differently than my normal flap embellishment – to coordinate with the front of the card.  I adhered a piece of the DSP with Liquid Glue on a diagaonal, with the point at the bottom of the flap, then I just trimmed the excess.

any-occasion-hello-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  This is a fun little stamp set that truly covers…well…Any Occasion!  And it’s going to be free choice goody with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Thankful Thoughts, Thankful Life for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner-2
Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  We’ve got a color challenge for you today, so it’ll be fun to see what all the ladies-who-hop come up with!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects, okay?

Here’s our color scheme…

14067553_10210533918092500_3655896642523099733_n

I decided to use the pretty Host exclusive set called Thankful Life and combine it with the sentiment set Thankful Thoughts.  Take a look-see:

thankful-life-thankful-thoughts-4-stamps-n-lingers

I started by SNAILing a panel from the A Little Foxy DSP Stack to a Calypso Coral mat for the card front.

The art work is a lovely flower vase from the Thankful Life stamp set – coming soon in the 2017 Occasions Catalog!  I started by making the bouquet itself.  This is a three step process for the flowers.  For the first step/image, I used Pool Party ink.  Then I came back in with the second image in full-strength Calypso Coral.  Finally, the third image is done with stamped-off-once Calypso Coral.  Looks like three colors – but it’s only two!  Cool, huh?

thankful-life-thankful-thoughts-8-stamps-n-lingers

Then I added a Smoky Slate vase, stamping the image full strength.  To give the vase some dimension, I used the handy little curved line image – also found in Thankful Life – and added it in Smoky Slate as well.  I matted the panel on Calypso Coral and popped it on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I used one of the beautifully font-ed (maybe not a word, hyphenated or not…) sentiments from the Thankful Thoughts set in the Annual Catalog.  I stamped it in Pool Party on Whisper White and made each end into a banner with my snips.  Using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker, I edged the banner (this helps it to stand out just a little bit against an otherwise white background) and adhered it to the card with some Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

thankful-life-thankful-thoughts-2-stamps-n-lingers

To finish the card front, I added some tiny Pearl Basic Jewels to a few flowers in the vase and a little bow tied from Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine.

On the inside, I stamped a second Thankful Thoughts sentiment in Pool Party on a Whisper White panel.  Across the bottom, I used the flower images from Thankful Life in Pool Party and Calypso Coral to add a stamped “border”.

thankful-life-thankful-thoughts-5-stamps-n-lingers

I SNAILd the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Thankful Life flowers images across the bottom in Calypso Coral and Pool Party…

thankful-life-thankful-thoughts-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and another piece of A Little Foxy DSP on the envelope flap.

thankful-life-thankful-thoughts-7-stamps-n-lingers

Et Voila!  I love this pretty flower vase in Thankful Life – and the sentiments in the Thankful Thoughts stamp set are really quite perfect.  Hope you like! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Avant Garden Sneak Peek Friendship Card

Well, good morning – when you read this, I’m betting Igor and I will be on our way back to the airport.  We had a great visit with Mom and it was so nice to get the chance to see her and be with her for even just a couple of days! 🙂

Mom has a little Basset Hound – Clara – who loves men.  A lot.  So she thought Igor was the bee’s knees!  Sort of like Finn does.

I’m starting to get a complex.  Finn better be happier to see me than he is to see Igor or….I have to see what it would take to ship him to Russia!

Not really.  Igor can’t have him.  I love him – but he can’t have my Finn!  Finn will simply have to forget the powerful love he has – for no discernible reason! – for Igor!  And settle for his mother.

The one who buys him toys and treats and special puppy food.  And hugs him on her lap.  And pets him bare.  Yea – that one!

finn-licking-my-face
My card for today uses one of the prettiest little stamp sets – it’s called Avant Garden and it’s going to be available as a FREE item in the Sale-A-Bration catalog starting on 4 Jan. Take a look-see:

avant-garden-friendship-4-stamps-n-lingers
This is another card that uses the pretty color scheme from the My Favorite Things color challenge.

mft-color-challenge-60
I started with the pretty wood siding design from the Serene Scenery DSP stack, matting it on Smoky Slate for the card front.

My art piece began with a square of Whisper White card stock.  On it, I stamped the flowers from Avant Garden.  First I did two in Peekaboo Peach (re-inking between stamps) and I stamped a third image without re-inking.  I also made a couple of masks on sticky notes and covered my flowers with them.  Over the top, I stamped a flower in Island Indigo – the masks made this flower go to the back.  Using the stamen image – I added a center to the Island Indigo flower, also in Island Indigo.  The other flower centers are covered with the sentiment.

avant-garden-friendship-2-stamps-n-lingers
I added stems and leaves in Mint Macaron.  Finally, using the splatter image in Avant Garden, I added some Smoky Slate texture around the flowers and stems.

avant-garden-friendship-8-stamps-n-lingers
My sentiment panel is a piece of Mint Macaron, with the Avant Garden sentiment stamped in Island Indigo.  I matted it on Smoky Slate and then SNAILd it to the art panel.

A piece of Linen Thread is wrapped around the panel twice, secured in the back with scotch tape.  And I added a tiny bow with a dab of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

avant-garden-friendship-3-stamps-n-lingers
I used some Glue Dots to adhere several loops of Linen Thread on the card front, and then popped my art panel over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  As a final touch, I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the sentiment and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Avant Garden sentiment in Island Indigo in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  I surrounded the sentiment with a Peekaboo Peach flower, some Mint Macaron leaves and – using my flower mask – more of the Smoky Slate splatters.

avant-garden-friendship-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Peekaboo Peach card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Medium Whisper White Envelope got a reprise of the Avant Garden flower and leaves and splatters on the front…

avant-garden-friendship-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and another piece of Serene Scenery DSP on the envelope flap!

avant-garden-friendship-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  I love this Avant Garden set – the flower images are very painterly and pretty!  Oh – and yea.  It’s going to be free!  My very favorite price of all!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Sleigh Pink Christmas Thanks!

Good morning from Colorado!  Igor and I came for a day and a half to visit with my mom – we’d visited her at Christmas when he lived with us 21 years ago!  He very sweetly treated me to the trip – and we flew First Class.  What a lovely Christmas present!

This is what Finn thought of me leaving…

finn-with-his-chin-on-the-tub
But – the weather here is beautiful (if cold cold cold!) and the trip was uneventful.

And with its own beauty!

clouds-from-the-plane-window
So – this one’s from Colorado!

Since it’s the season of thank-you cards (that’s the season that follows Christmas, by the way!), I decided to make a Christmas thank you card.  I used the lovely Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits and some Cable Knit Dynamic TIEF, a bit of Softly Falling, and the new (in the Sale-A-Bration catalog) Any Occasion stamp set.  Take a look-see:

santas-sleigh-pink-christmas-4-stamps-n-lingers
Yes. It’s pink. 🙂

Here’s why – it’s all because of the TGIF Challenges!

tgifc87
I started with a piece of Whisper White and ran it thru the Softly Falling TIEF.  Then I used a piece of Stampin’ Sponge and brushed across the embossed portions of the panel with Blushing Bride ink.  I also brushed the edges with a Blushing Bride inked sponge, then SNAILd it on Flirty Flamingo card stock.

To make my Santa’s Sleigh tree, I first made a colored and embossed piece of Whisper White.  I inked up the raised portion of the Cable Knit Dynamic TIEF with the Blushing Bride ink, just tapping all over on the folder.  Then I carefully laid the panel inside, closed the folder and embossed it.   When I pulled it out of the folder, I cut two trees with the Santa’s Sleigh die.  While I was at it, I cut a third from Blushing Bride.

santas-sleigh-pink-christmas-3-stamps-n-lingers
I used Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Blushing Bride and right-most trees.   Then I popped the final one on with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

For the sentiment, I stamped the Thank You from the Sale-A-Bration Any Occasion stamp set in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White.  Then I added a “string” with the string stamp image.  I fussy cut the whole thing and then used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it across the trees.

santas-sleigh-pink-christmas-8-stamps-n-lingers
To add a little sumpin’ sumpin, I adhered two Blushing Bride sequins (from the Blushing Bride Sequin Trim) to the end of the banner “string”.  And finally, I added some Flirty Flamingo stars Enamel Shapes.

On the inside, I used a Whisper White panel and stamped the tree from Santa’s Sleigh in Blushing Bride.

santas-sleigh-pink-christmas-5-stamps-n-lingers
I matted the panel on Flirty Flamingo and then into my Blushing Bride card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

For my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added a Santa’s Sleigh tree in Blushing Bride on the front…

santas-sleigh-pink-christmas-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and I embossed the flap in the Softly Falling TIEF, then brushed it with Blushing Bride using a sponge.

santas-sleigh-pink-christmas-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  A pink-and-white Christmas card for the Thank-You Season using the Santa’s Sleigh stamp and thinlits set.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Tasty Trucks Bring Cool Treats!

Well – good Monday-day-after-Christmas to y’all!  I sure hope you had a most wondrous Christmas Day with your family and friends.  And ate a lot!

We sure did – the Prime Rib was excellent and we had too many sides to count.  As usual!

Finn had himself a wonderful day.  He got three new bones – one from him mom (me!), one from his grandma (my mom!) and one from his Auntie Jan!

finn-with-his-new-christmas-bones
That’s him with just two of his new chewie-up-things!  He’s so happy!  And on top of all that – there was company!  Lots and lots of company!  And they all petted him and loved on him and told him how very handsome he is!  Which, of course, he is!  So, as I type this, he’s sacked flat out – sawing logs.  One.  Tired.  Little.  Man!! 🙂

My card for today is a quick and easy one – that uses the 2017 Occasions stamp set called Cool Treats and a freebie stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration catalog called Tasty Trucks.  Take a look-see:

I started out by cutting a Crumb Cake card base the same size as one of our Note Cards and Envelopes – 3 1/2″ x 5″ – but I made it a top-folding card (versus the side-fold in the Note Cards).  I made a background directly on the card base by stamping the pennant banner image from the Tasty Trucks set in Crumb Cake ink.  I just stamped it all over.

tasty-trucks-and-cool-treats-2-stamps-n-lingers
Then I took two strips of Cool Treats Designer Washi Tape and ran them across the front of the card.

My art and sentiment panel is a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  First I stamped the two sentiment words from Cool Treats.  I stamped “Cool” first in Pool Party and then added “You’re” in Watermelon Wonder.

I made popsicles from Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder, using the images from Cool Treats.  I first stamped the popsicle images – the Peekaboo Peach ones are stamped full-strength, and the Watermelon Wonder was stamped off once.  I added the double-line image to the Peekaboo Peach treats – also in Peekaboo Peach.  For the Watermelon Wonder, I used the little curved line image – stamping it off once before stamping the popsicle,

tasty-trucks-and-cool-treats-1-stamps-n-lingers
Finally, I added Crumb Cake popsicle sticks and SNAILd my panel to the card front.  And that was it!

On the inside, I repeated the Crumb Cake pennants background and the two strips of Cool Treats Designer Washi.  My Very Vanilla panel got a sentiment from the Tasty Trucks set in Peekaboo Peach.  Then I added a line of tiny ice cream cones in Crumb Cake – this image is one of several tasty goodies in the Tasty Trucks set.  I colored the ice creams with my Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder and Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Markers.

tasty-trucks-and-cool-treats-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd the panel into the Crumb Cake card base and…done!

My Crumb Cake envelope (from the Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes), got more Tasty Trucks ice cream cones across the front…

tasty-trucks-and-cool-treats-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and a Cool Treats popsicle in Watermelon Wonder on the envelope flap.

tasty-trucks-and-cool-treats-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  Quick.  Easy.  Single layer so it’s easy to mail!  Pretty much perfect – and all thanks to the fun images in the Cool Treats stamp set and the free and fun images in Tasty Trucks! Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Christmas with Suite Seasons!

Good morning, and Merry Christmas!  Thank you so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to stop by – I’m going to keep it short and sweet!

Finn is getting all ready for his first Christmas!  And maybe a prime rib bone?  Or…three? 🙂

finn-saying-merry-christmas
My card today is from the Suite Seasons stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  Take a look-see:

suite-seasons-merry-christmas-4-stamps-n-lingers
The layout is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

fms-268-sketch
The card front is simply a Whisper White panel, embossed in the Holly TIEF and then matted on Cherry Cobbler.  Next up is a piece of Presents & Pinecones DSP, matted on Cherry Cobbler and then SNAILd to the card front.

suite-seasons-merry-christmas-2-stamps-n-lingers
The sentiment is from Suite Seasons – I used the marker-to-rubber technique and inked the words and the berries with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker and the pine bough with the Emerald Envy marker.

I matted the panel on Cherry Cobbler and popped it over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish it off, I made a bow with Cherry Cobbler, Emerald Envy and Gold Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Snugged in under the bow is a silver holly sprig from the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments.

suite-seasons-merry-christmas-1-stamps-n-lingers
On the inside, I stamped just the pine sprig again – I covered the rest of the stamp with a sticky note and colored the sprig with the Markers – I also stamped it off once before I stamped my panel.  Over the top of that, I stamped a second sentiment – this time from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set – in Cherry Cobbler.

suite-seasons-merry-christmas-5-stamps-n-lingers
I matted the panel on Cherry Cobbler and SNAILd it into my Emerald Envy card base.  The card front is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

For my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added the sprig image twice on the front (this time in full-strength ink!)…

suite-seasons-merry-christmas-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and used a little more Presents & Pinecones DSP on the envelope flap.

suite-seasons-merry-christmas-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  This is a great layout – letting you showcase a beautiful embossing folder and pretty paper – and the Suite Season stamp set is really pretty perfect!  Hope you like.

Stampin’ Up! Star of Light for Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve, y’all!  I know you’re all busy and getting ready for the Big Day tomorrow!  Me, too!  I’ll be off to the grocery to pick up the Prime Rib for dinner and a few extra little ingredients for my part of Christmas Dinner.  Everyone’s coming here this year, so….it’ll be a big day!

Finn’s in for a big party – he’ll be so excited – maybe I need to put a diaper on him!  He still has a little trouble keeping everything…in?…when he gets excited.  And the whole group showing up is for sure going to be pretty exciting!

Want to know what is not exciting?  When you want to stay outside longer and your mom wants you to come in.  That happens sometimes. 😉

Puppy-solution?

Just say no!

finn-laying-down-on-the-golf-cart-seat
See him there?  Laying down on the seat and peeking out at me?  Yea.  That’s how he shares with me that he’s happy where he is, thank you very much!!  Little stinker!

My card for today is a serious nod to the day.  I used some non-traditional colors and the wonderful Star of Light stamp set and matching framelits to make this Christmas Eve card.  Take a look-see:

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-4-stamps-n-lingers
The layout was inspired by the sketch from Can You CASE It this week:

cyci143
And my color scheme comes from the My Favorite Things color challenges:

mft-color-challenge-60
I also got some inspiration from a card in the Holiday Catalog – y’all need to be sure that you’re looking at all the samples in the catalog, okay?  The Stampin’ Up! designers are seriously talented folks and you can get some really superb ideas from them!

I started with a panel of Marina Mist card stock and cut a piece of Vellum card stock the exact same size.  I didn’t adhere them together until the very end – cuz I wanted to have all my embellishments on the vellum – thus showing me exactly where I could put my adhesive and have it hidden.

First off, I used one of the dies in the Starlight Thinlits to cut a design in the Vellum.

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-2-stamps-n-lingers
Next up is a length of Silver 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon – I snipped some banner ends in it and then adhered it directly to the Vellum with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Using two of the star images in the Star of Light stamp set, I heat embossed three of them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Peekaboo Peach, then cut them out with their matching dies in the Starlight Thinlits.  They, too, are adhered directly to the Vellum with Liquid Glue.

The large star is a double cut.  One is a plain Star of Light star cut from Marina Mist card stock – it became the shadow.  Over that, I heat embossed the large and intricate image in White on Pool Party card stock and then cut it out.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere them together and to wind several loops of Silver Metallic Thread around on the back.  The final product was adhered to the card front with more Liquid Glue.

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-3-stamps-n-lingers
Then I cut the smaller intricate star from some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered it next to my large star.

The final piece was the sentiment.  I stamped the Star of Light sentiment in Peekaboo Peach on Whisper White and snipped banner ends.  I edged the banner with my Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-8-stamps-n-lingers
At that point, I turned the Vellum over and wherever there was something on the front – I put Liquid Glue – keeping it light enough that it wouldn’t smoosh out and be visible on the front.  Then I carefully aligned the Vellum over the Marina Mist panel and secured it in place.

On the inside, I took the “swoosh” image from Star of Light and inked it with Smoky Slate.  Then I stamped it off once and stamped it in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  Over that, I stamped the large intricate star in Pool Party – also stamping it off once first.  Finally, I stamped the second sentiment in Peekaboo Peach.

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-5-stamps-n-lingers
I matted the panel on Marina Mist and then into my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another stamped-off-once Smoky Slate “swoosh” and a full-strength Pool Party intricate star on the front…

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-6-stamps-n-lingers
… and a full-strength Smoky Slate “swoosh” on the envelope flap.

star-of-light-in-blue-and-peach-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  Celebrating the miracle that occurred this night – the beautiful Star of Light stamp set and Starlight Thinlits does a perfect job!  Hope you like.

Stampin’ Up! Totally Trees Thankful Thoughts

Happy Friday, y’all!  Two days until Christmas – hope you’re ready!

So, this morning, as Finn and I headed for the barn to feed, a motion caught my eye.  I saw a brown body in the reflection of a window in the shop.  I figured there was a deer so I started to look to get Finn on his leash.

At that point – he woofed his “holy crap, what’s that, MOM!!!?” woof.

I looked up to see the two Haflinger girls looking at me from the little hill behind the house.

Hmm.  Wrong place for them to be!  Out of the pasture – at large around the house and the barn.  Mayhem and havoc wreaking surely did abound!

Got them back in their stalls, fed and happy.  Returned the trash to the can that had been investigated thoroughly, if not tidily.  “Tidy” is, after all, truly a function of thumbs and fingers….hooves and giant schnoozles?  Not really precision instruments!

Finn was – once again – gobsmacked!  (He spends a lot of time gobsmacked – it’s part of being a kid!)

Finn remained….weirded out…for a bit.  Took some lap-time to calm him down.  Danged ponies.

WhotheheckdotheythinktheyareanywayMOM!!?

My card today features a stamp set that I was really sad to see on the retiring list – Totally Trees.  What a lovely and simple stamp set this one is!  I combined it with a couple of sentiments from the Thankful Thoughts set to make a nice little thank you card.  Take a look-see!
