Stampin’ Up! Daisies are Delightful for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a full complement of bloggers for you today, so be sure to check them all out and see how everyone handled our color challenge this week!

Take a gander at the colors we were given:

I decided to use some of the Petal Garden DSP Stack along with the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch (it WILL be back, folks!) to make a pretty thank you card.  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

I started with a simple Whisper White panel that I matted on Old Olive.  Near the bottom corner, I stamped the sentiment from Daisy Delight in Calypso Coral ink.

For my middle panel, I used six equal-sized strips of Pool Party paper from the Petal Garden DSP Stack, and adhered them to an Old Olive mat with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My daisy (I think it’s a Gerbera – and I learned the technique from my friend Jaimie – who’s one of our hoppers today!) is three Daisy Delight flowers inked in Calypso Coral and stamped on some Calypso Coral paper in the Petal Gardens DSP Stack.  I punched them out with the Daisy Punch and brushed all the petals with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  To assemble them, I first curled the petals with a Bone Folder – some down and some up – then I used a Stampin’ Dimensional between each flower to create a stack.  Don’t forget to rotate each flower so that all the gaps are filled in with petals!

I used Glue Dots around the back of my flower to wind some Old Olive Baker’s Twine and Gold Metallic Thread around in several loops, then used another Stampin’ Dimensional to pop the flower onto the card front.

I decided it needed a little more oomph, so I stamped a couple of leaves from Daisy Delight in Old Olive on some Whisper White card stock.  Then I used the fill-in image in stamped-off-once Old Olive and fussy cut the leaves.  I used a little Liquid Glue to stick them into the flower.  Finally, I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the middle of the flower and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Daisy Delight flower image three times in Calypso Coral ink in the corner of a Whisper White panel – rotating the image each time.  Then I used my Clear Wink to paint the petals in Calypso Coral.  I added a couple of Old Olive leaves – and another Gold Faceted Gem to the middle of the flower.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added another Calypso Coral Daisy Delight flower and brushed the petals with my Clear Wink of Stella…

…and added some more Petal Garden DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I couldn’t help it, y’all!  Had to use the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch.  And it just goes so perfectly with the Petal Garden DSP.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Wood Words Stacked Crates

‘Sup, y’all!?  It’s Hawwmp Day!  And I don’t know if I’m staying – going – sitting – waiting – packing – leaving – or on terminal hold!  So…I’ll just keep getting up and going to work (or working at the hotel) and making cards.  Might should buy more food.  Might be a bad idea.  I have no clue.  Stay tuned for the continuing saga of “When will Mary go home!”  🙂

I made a fun little card today to share with you.  I made a stack of Wood Textures Wood Crates.  With some Wood Words goodies quite obviously on their way to the farmer’s market.  Take a look-see:

I played along with the Sunday Stamps challenge with this one…

…but I did a bit of a riff on the sketch – making an optically tall and skinny on a regular sized card.  Here we go!

I started with a Crumb Cake card base (of normal proportions) and I stamped the Tree Rings background image on the front in Crumb Cake ink.

Next up, I matted a piece of Very Vanilla on a Cajun Craze mat – tall and skinny – and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

I cut single pieces of the Wood Crates die from three different pieces of the Wood Textures DSP Stack, and trimmed all but the side and end tabs from each piece.  I adhered them to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the end tabs, making sure to angle each successive crate to make a stack!  In the next picture, you can see the Dimensionals and how they’re adhering the crate to the card.

Using the Wood Words stamp set, I stamped Night of Navy stars, Cajun Craze hearts and Crushed Curry chickens on Very Vanilla card stock.  I stamped 5 of each image and cut them all with their matching die in the Wood Crates Framelits.  Then I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to pile them into their respective crates.

The sentiment, also from Wood Words, is stamped in Crushed Curry on a strip of Very Vanilla.  I snipped a banner end into one end, edged it with my Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker, and then, along with a couple of pieces of Night of Navy 1/2″ Gingham Ribbon, adhered it to the bottom crate with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a double-strand bow with Linen Thread and added it to the top crate.  Then I put a Night of Navy star Enamel Shape in the middle of the bow, and one on the sentiment banner and the card front was done.

On the inside, I re-created the optical tall and skinny card effect.  First I stamped the inside of the card base with the Tree Rings image, again in Crumb Cake.  For the liner, I stamped the Wood Words star in Night of Navy across the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel.

I Fast Fuse’d it to a Cajun Craze mat and into the card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some more Night of Navy Wood Word stars on the front…

…and a little more Wood Textures DSP Stack on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think it’s fun that the Wood Crates Framelits can be adapted to work on a 2-D card front as well as making awesome 3-D projects!  And Wood Words and the Wood Textures DSP stack just go so darned perfectly with the whole shootin’ match, don’t you think?  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! A Summer Bike Ride for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Knew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month is Celebrate Summer!!  We were given free rein to interpret that any way we liked….so, be sure to check out all the ladies’ blogs.  I know you’re going to see some awesome projects!

Being down here in Florida for this one, my mind sort of went to bike rides on the beach.  And, handily enough, we have a brand new stamp set and bundle that just’s the thing!  I used the Bike Ride stamp set and bundled Build A Bike Framelits for my offering today – take a look-see:

My layout and design elements were inspired by the sketch and photo from this week’s Fusion challenge.

I started with one of my very favorite wood designs in the Wood Textures DSP Stack – matting it on a piece of So Saffron card stock – for the card front.

Next up, I made two more – smaller – panels to work with the sketch (you can see I turned the sketch on its side), both are matted on So Saffron.  First, I adhered a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I SNAILd the first panel (which is another piece of Wood Textures DSP) over the top.

To build my “beach sign” I used a piece of Smoky Slate card stock and adhered four strips of colored card stock to it.  I used Tempting Turquoise, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral – and I lightly sponged their edges with Crumb Cake.  I adhered them all to the Smoky Slate panel and then ran the whole thing thru my Big Shot in the Pinewood Planks TIEF.

Then I stamped a sentiment from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set in Calypso Coral on the top “board”.  Upon further reflection – it would have been a little easier to stamp my sentiment and THEN emboss it in the TIEF.  But this way worked, too – although I did have to do a little touch up with my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker. 😉  I adhered it to its So Saffron mat and added it to the card front with Fast Fuse.

And then it was Build a Bike (framelit) time!  I stamped the parts of the bike on Whisper White, using a bunch of the fun images in the Bike Ride stamp set.  The bike is in So Saffron, with Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay tires.  I cut the front basket from a piece of Smoky Slate card stock.  The dog, books and flowers bunches were all stamped in Chocolate Chip and then colored with various Stampin’ Write Markers (So Saffron, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight).  I even cut some So Saffron “streamers” and adhered them to the handlebars!

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the bike on top of my “beach sign” – then added the books and pooch with Dimensionals and the two flower bunches with Liquid Glue and Dimensionals.  The final touch is a tiny Linen Thread bow, adhered with a dab of Liquid Glue.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added another flower bunch from the Bike Ride stamp set in Chocolate Chip – and colored it in with Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo Markers – to a Whisper White panel.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a So Saffron mat and into my Chocolate Chip card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Bike Ride flower bunch on the front…

…and I added some more Wood Textures DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think a bike ride on the beach – with my books, some flowers and my dog (pretend it’s Finn!)  – would be a nice way to spend a summer day.  Except for the lack of air conditioning! 😉  So…I’ll get my beach ride fix with the cool new Bike Ride stamp set and Build a Bike Framelits!  Hope you like!

Scroll on down for the card cuts and all the products you’ll need to make this one for yourself!

Now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Click any name below, or you can use the Previous Blog button to jump to Jaimie’s page or the Next Blog button to see what Sue’s been up to!

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek Carols of Christmas in July!

Happy Monday, y’all!  Are you ready to start your week?  This one for me is going to bring some surprises, I think.  The work week may culminate in us going home early!  Guess I’ll know in a few days.  I have to hope that if we do, we don’t have to come back any time soon – getting a decent hotel in the middle of summer in Ft. Walton Beach… yikes! 🙂

If you were able to join me last night – thanks so much for spending some of your Sunday evening with me!  If you didn’t see me live, here’s a link to the video so you can see how to make this card.

I used the Carols of Christmas stamp set – which you can get right now for FREE when you join Stampin’ Up! – and the matching Card Front Builder Thinlits.  Which you can select to fill your Starter Kit!!  How cool is that?!?  Take a look see at what I did with this fun bundle.

I used some Eastern Palace paper to make a card front – it’s just a smidge smaller than the front of my Dapper Denim card front.  I adhered it right to the card front with some Liquid Glue.

For the center panel, I used a piece of Pool Party card stock and cut it with several of the dies in the new Card Front Builder Thinlits.

I popped it over a slightly smaller panel of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (I show all of this in the video!) with Stampin’ Dimensionals and some Liquid Glue.  Then I used some Fast Fuse and wound a few loops of Silver Mini Sequin Trim around – underneath my planned sentiment.

I also stamped a Chocolate Chip deer on Whisper White, cut him with the matching die in the Card Front Builder Thinlits and adhered him with Liquid Glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

To make the sentiment, I inked the sentiment from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Pool Party, then used a Sponge Dauber to ink the edges with Dapper Denim.  I stamped the shaded image on a piece of Whisper White and then cut it with a Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I didn’t use a mat for this, and popped it over the top of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I used some Liquid Glue to adhere some of the cut-outs that I’d saved from making the card front to a Whisper White panel.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Pool Party mat and into the Dapper Denim card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Pool Party cut out and I surrounded it with some stamped snowflakes from Carols of Christmas in Pool Party ink…

…and I added a little more of the Eastern Palace Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How pretty is this stamp set and matching Thinlits?  And this doesn’t even touch on all the images and die cuts that this Carols of Christmas bundle brings to the table!  Remember – it’s never too early to start making Christmas cards – and I think this set will be a go-to for you!  Hope you like!

Mary

P.S. Scroll on down for all the card cuts and a list of products I used in this project!

P.P.S  Don’t forget that you can get these right now!!  And the stamp set can be yours for free!  Check the details down below. 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Text Ya Later!

Good morning, y’all!  Hope your weekend is going well!  Mine’s going to be spent making cards.  And maybe concentrating on doing some nothing!  I’ll also be getting ready to do a live video tomorrow night – it’s looking good! 🙂

My card today uses a fun and cute new little stamp set called Text Ya Later – perfectly perfect for all your cards to all your kids – regardless of their age!  This clean and simple card is for my hubby – and is pretty typical of our texting conversations! 😉  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week.

And the colors come from the TGIF Color Challenge.

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock, matted on Berry Burst for the card front.

To make my “cell phone” – I stamped the image from Text Ya Later in Tranquil Tide on a piece of Thick Whisper White card stock, and gave it a quick fussy cut.

I added some text across the top in Berry Burst.  Then there’s some text bubbles in Tranquil Tide.  For “my” messages, I used the fill image in Text Ya Later, in stamped-off-once Lemon Lime Twist.  All the text and the smiley faces are Berry Burst.

I cut a similar size panel of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP (are you guys noticing how totally useful and versatile this gorgeous DSP is turning out to be?!?) and adhered my “phone” to it at a little angle, using some Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a piece of Berry Burst 5/8″ Finely Woven Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I made a little Lemon Lime Twist baker’s twine.  I cut a length of Whisper White Baker’s Twine and ran it across my Lemon Lime Twist ink pad a few times.  Once it was good and dry,  I made a couple of loops, securing them with SNAIL to the card front.  I popped the “cell phone” and it’s Whole Lot of Lovely “mat” on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few text icons in Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide to the card front and it was done!

On the inside, I added some Berry Burst Text Ya Later icons across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.

I SNAILd the panel to a Berry Burst mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some Text Ya Later icons across the front in Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide…

…and then I added some more Whole Lot of Lovely DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is a sentiment-packed stamp set with really fun little sayings!  I think it would be a great set to enjoy with those tweens in your life – get them hooked on your favorite hobby!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Celebration Time Birthday

Happy Friday, y’all!  I hope your week has gone well – and that you’ve got something fun planned for the weekend!

I played with a new bundle for today’s card – it’s the Celebration Time bundle and I think it’s got a lot of fun possibilities!  This card ended up with a shaker element and some Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.  Take a look-see:

I played along with a couple of challenges this week.  The first is the CAS-ual Fridays Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  I love these!

For my card, I went from bottom left to top right, across the diagonal.

And I played along with the Word Challenge at Just Us Girls.

I started with a piece of striped paper from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, matted on Pool Party, for the card front.  The middle layer is a piece of Whisper White, dry embossed in the Polka Dot Basics TIEF, matted on more Pool Party and adhered to the card front at a diagonal.  I made the shaker using dies in the Celebration Time Thinlits.  I cut a solid tag in Whisper White, and a detailed tag in Powder Pink card stock.

Using some scraps of Pool Party card stock, I adhered a few squares behind the die cut presents with a little Liquid Glue.  Then I added a small square of Window Sheet with some more Liquid Glue.

To build the shaker, I put a little pile of Metallic Assortment Sequins on the white tag, and then used Foam Adhesive Strips around the back edge of the Powder Pink tag to adhere the two pieces together.  Here’s a tip.  Although I used the strips all the way around the edge of the tag, I added an additional piece across the tag – just under the top of the presents.  That made a smaller area for my sequins – ensuring that they’ll stay up in the window!

For the sentiment, I inked the image from Celebration Time in Versamark, then stamped it on a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock.  I sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up.  Then I cut the sentiment out with the handy die in the Celebration Thinlits, and adhered it to the tag with some Liquid Glue.  How fun is that?!?

I ran four lengths of Pool Party Solid Baker’s Twine thru the handy top hole in the tag and tied it together with a double length of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine.  Then I adhered the tag to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On the inside, I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to align another sentiment from Celebration Time on a Whisper White panel.  I used my Pool Party and Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Markers to color the gifts, and my Tranquil Tide marker to color the sentiment – coloring directly on the rubber stamp.  Then I added a couple of bows to the top of the gifts in Pool Party and Powder Pink.

I SNAILd the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Tranquil Tide card base, popped my card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another little group of Celebration Time presents – I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig again to just get the tops of the gifts…

…and added a little more Whole Lot of Lovely DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the dies in the Celebration Thinlits – they’re so cute and perfect for making tags – to go on cards like I’ve done here, or to add to gifts!  And the stamps in Celebration Time mesh with the dies just perfectly.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Punch Temporarily Unavailable Starting Tomorrow 7 July!

The Daisy Punch is on backorder again. 🙁

Extraordinarily, the demand for this punch has not died down at all; in fact, this is our highest selling punch in the last five years.

The next order of punches will arrive approximately August 1, 2017. Because of the very high cost of taking backorders and the amount of time until the next order arrives, we will be making the Daisy Punch (and all associated bundles) unorderable beginning Friday, July 7, at 8:00 AM (MT).

So if you would like to order the Daisy Punch or the Daisy Delight Bundle during the month of July (please note, the punch is already backordered and will not arrive until around August 1), place your order within the next few hours.  The numbers will be turned off for ordering tomorrow morning and won’t be turned back on until the shipment of punches is received around August 1.

Stampin’ Up! This Little Piggy that Did for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a full complement of bloggers for you today, so be sure to check them all out and see how everyone handled our sketch challenge this week!

Here’s what we played with:

And I decided to use the oh-so-uber-cute This Little Piggy stamp set – and a couple of sentiments in it that really sort of seemed right this week!  Take a look-see:

This one was quick – easy – and fun!  The Trifecta!

I started with a piece of my favorite Wood Textures DSP and matted it on Powder Pink card stock.

The art work is a piece of Whisper White, cut with a circle Stitched Shapes Framelits die (the largest one) and matted on a Powder Pink Scallop circle, cut with the largest scallop die in Circles Layering Framelits.

I stamped the flying piggy in Early Espresso ink on the Whisper White circle.  Using an older Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, and picking up ink from the lid of my Powder Pink stamp pad, I colored her.  I used another Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to color her wings and little tiny hooves.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the art to my card front.

My sentiment banner is a strip of Whisper White, with a banner end cut with my Paper Snips.  I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp the This Little Piggy sentiment in Early Espresso onto the strip (I covered the piggy with a sticky note).  It’s matted on another bannerized strip (in Powder Pink) and popped over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I thought she needed a few friends, so I cut three of the adorable little butterfly shapes from the Build a Bike Framelits in Powder Pink card stock – brushed them all with my Clear Wink and adhered them with Liquid Glue.  The final touch is a double-bow from Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine, adhered with a dab of Liquid Glue.

On the inside, I added another This Little Piggy sentiment in Early Espresso to a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped a few cloud images from the set in stamped-off-once Powder Pink.  Finally – one more Build a Bike butterfly in Powder Pink card stock.

I SNAILd the panel to a Powder Pink mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got three more flying piggies across the front in Early Espresso – colored with Powder Pink using the Clear Wink brush…

…and a little more of the Wood Textures DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This Little Piggy believed she could and so she did.  I love the little smile on her face – she looks a little smug and a lot happy.  And – she pretty much had to have a butterfly on her nose, now didn’t she – so it’s handy there was one just the right size in the Build a Bike Framelits!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Get the Message…in a Bottle?

Good morning, y’all!  I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July holiday!  I did gather myself up and went to my friend’s house for the afternoon – and I’m so glad I did!  I had a wonderful time with her and her husband and a few other folks from their neighborhood!  I even gave myself a bit of a “day off” on the diet – although Sandi made wonderful things that I could eat without guilt.

And her neighbor brought some guilty pecan pie tartlets.

I had one of those, too – and it was….so yummy!

Now.

Last October, I posted a card that looked like….this:

One of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the opportunity to earn an Incentive Trip each year.  All of them are wonderful – they’re going to a resort in Phuket, Thailand this year – and include airfare and super-cool perks.  As in swag and free goodies and sneak peeks at new catalogs!

The incentive trip for 2018 was announced last September – and it’s an Alaskan cruise!

As I mentioned in my 1 Oct post (check it right here, if you like) – it was the perfect combination for me.

Alaska – check!

Cruise – check!

Cruise to Alaska – check check and CHECK!

So – I set my sights on earning that cruise.

And – thanks to my wonderful customers and the ladies who’ve joined my little downline….

I found out on Monday evening that I’ve earned the Alaskan Cruise!!

Whooo-hoooo!!!  I can hardly believe it yet.  But it’s true.  This time next year, Wayne and I will be just about ready to fly to Seattle for the start of our weeklong cruise with a whole passle of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!

I guess I can wait that long!

I’m surely grateful that I signed up to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and that they’ve given me the opportunity to…earn extra cash, play with wonderful stamping products and meet lovely folks (that’s you guys!!)  Oh.  And go on a CRUISE!!!

Okay – on with the card for today!  I thought I’d make something sort of nautical – that hints at the cruise, to use to send to Wayne and let him know 1) I love him and 2) it’s time to be thinking about getting those little stick legs tanned and ready for some shorts!  Cuz….buckle up, buttercup!  We’re goin’ a-cruisin’!!

I pulled out the new Message in a Bottle stamp set and some Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP for the occasion.  Take a look-see:

This layout was inspired by the sketch from the Global Design Project this week.

I started with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, created a card base and dry embossed the front in the Seaside TIEF.  I know – I did this very recently on my Magical Mermaid card.  Sorry – but it just makes sense for this card, too! 🙂

I cut a small piece of the striped Soft Sky paper in the Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP and ran that thru the Big Shot in the Seaside TIEF, too.  I SNAILd it to a Marina Mist mat and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a scrap piece of Thick Whisper White card stock, I stamped the bottle image from Message in a Bottle, in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  To “fill” the bottle, I stamped the water image in Marina Mist.  I also stamped the water image on the top of a sticky note and cut it out to make a mask – which I placed over the water I’d just stamped inside the bottle.

Using the ship image, I stamped it inside the bottle and over my masked water in Early Espresso Ink.  When I picked up the mask – my ship was “in” the water!  Then I colored the sails with my Pool Party and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers.

Finally, I stamped a “cork” in the top of the bottle in Crumb Cake ink, and then I fussy cut the bottle.

My sentiment, also from Message in a Bottle, is stamped on a strip of Whisper White in Marina Mist.  I cut a same-size strip of So Saffron card stock, snipped banners in the end of both strips and adhered them to the middle panel with Liquid Glue.  Using Liquid Glue (and a mini Stampin’ Dimensional), I adhered my bottle over the top.

To finish it off, I tied a small bow with two lengths of Silver Metallic Thread and one length of Linen Thread and adhered it to the bottle neck with a dab of Liquid Glue.

On the inside, I stamped the bottle again in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Thick Whisper White panel and then added the I Love You image in Marina Mist.  This is a photopolymer stamp set – so it’s easy peasy to get the images where you need them.  I added a Marina Mist heart from Message in a Bottle as a cork. 🙂  Across the bottom – since I fully expect to see whales on the cruise!! – I stamped three in Tuxedo Black, with Marina Mist spouts!

I SNAILd the panel to a Marina Mist mat and then into my card base, and the card was done!

I added more of the Tuxedo Black whales across the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope…

…and then added more of the Soft Sky foil paper from the Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What do you think?  Will he “get” both the messages in this card?  I suspect I’ll have to follow up with a phone call.  I know he’ll figure the I Love You piece – but…the ship in the bottle…well.  That one may be a little more obscure.  But – isn’t this a Message in a Bottle a fun little stamp set?  Hope you like!
