Stampin’ Up! Carols of Merry Little Christmas Labels

‘Sup, y’all?!?  Don’t want to scare you, but…there are only 23 days until Christmas.

Serious.

Twenty.  Three.  Days.

Yikes!

Last week, in the spirit of Christmas, I made a few gift tags for y’all to make for yourself.  This was one of them….

I may or may not have mentioned that I was thinking on a card to follow along in this same vein.

So…I used the Carols of Christmas bundle (with the Card Front Builder Thinlits) and the Merry Little Labels stamp set.  Not for nothing – these are retiring sets – so…if you love them, get them now.  They’ll only be around until they’re gone.  Anywho – take a look-see:

I started with more of the Old Olive and Basic Black plaid paper from the going-away-soon Merry Little Christmas DSP and matted it on Basic Black.

To make the large label – I used the largest die in the Lots of Labels Framelits.  I wanted the label to be longer than the die would allow on its own, so I ran the Crumb Cake card stock about halfway thru the Big Shot – so that I only cut one end of the label.  Then I turned it around and finished the label by running the other end thru.

I added some faux stitches with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker and punched a hole in the top with my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch.

I inked up the Merry Little Labels sentiment with Versamark and then covered all but the words and stamped it on the top of the label.  Then I sprinkled it with White Stampin Emboss Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.

I also heat embossed the stars and deer image from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in White.  With the stars and moon die in the Card Front Builder Thinlits, I cut out some stars and sparkles and adhered them to the top with little dabs of Liquid Glue.

Thank I ran a length of Jute Twine thru the hole at the top of the label and secured it with a couple of Glue Dots.  Then I popped the label onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut several of the pretty trees with the dies in the Card Front Builder Thinlits (boy, I will miss these beautiful trees!!) in Whisper White and used Liquid Glue to adhere two of them directly to the label.  The two single trees are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals (the tree on the left) and Liquid Glue/Dimensionals.

I used my thankfully-not-retiring favorite Pretty Pines Thinlits to cut some pine boughs from the Merry Little Christmas DSP and adhered them at the top with Liquid Glue.

To finish off the card front, I tied a bow from Jute Twine and attached it at the top with another Glue Dot.

On the inside, I used a Crumb Cake panel for the inner liner and added faux stitches with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I heat embossed – in White – more of the stars and the deer from the Carols of Christmas stamp set.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Crumb Cake card base.  Then I added another Whisper White Card Front Builder Thinlits tree with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple of the trees cut from the plaid Merry Little Christmas DSP on the front…

…and more of the plaid on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Merry Little Labels and the Carols of Christmas bundle are going away, y’all!  Like I said at the top – if you love them…get them soon, before they’re gone for good!  Hope you like!

CHANGE IN STAMPARATUS RESERVATION WINDOWS!!

YOU NEED TO READ THIS MESSAGE FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

The results are in! The first Stamparatus reservation window reached its maximum number of reservations in just 15 minutes, which provided us with some very important information: You LOVE this new stamping tool! We couldn’t be more thrilled; in fact, your response was so amazing that we’ve decided to make some important adjustments to the reservation process.
As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open!
Please note the following changes:
  • Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
  • In order to accommodate demand, limits have changed as follows:
    • One reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.
    • Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations for the second window, we will not offer a third window. This is the last chance for you and your customers to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.

Please note what has not changed:

  • If you reserved more than one stamping tool during the first reservation period, that number will not change; you will still receive the same number you reserved. If you reserved one or more stamping tool(s) during the first reservation period, you may still order during the second window.
  • The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5.

We can’t wait for you to get your hands on your very own Stamparatus and look forward to seeing the projects you’ll make with this incredible stamping tool.

I’ve got all the information over on my Promotions page – including a super little video with lots of information on this wonderful new stamp placement tool.  Be sure to check it out – peruse the how-to-reserve-your-Stamparatus tutorial you’ll find there, and then mark your calendar for the next reservation window on 5 Dec!!

Finn Fan Fix

So – y’all remember that Sunday is “card making day” for Finn.

Or – card making watching!

Based on the clues wafting to my nostrils whenever I hug the little Man – which is a lot – I think we might need to make a trip to the Puppy Tubs today.

I asked him his thoughts on the matter.

He didn’t need any words.

Anyone doubt his opinion??

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Quilt Card Front Builder

Mornin’, y’all!!  Happy Monday.

??

Sorry to start the week with an oxymoron!  Although this is a good week on a couple of levels – one…it’s ONSTAGE WEEK!!  Whoo-hoo!  I work tonight and tomorrow night and then it’s off to OnStage with 8 of the ladies in our team and no-telling how many other demonstrators!  We’re touring the Home Office on Wednesday then Thursday the Main Event begins!!  And – then when I get back on Sunday….that will leave just one more week till I go home!

Whooo-hooo!!  I’m really ready, y’all!

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video – thank you so much!!  If not, but you’d like to see the card we made, here’s the link to it on YouTube!

The sneak peek I showed you yesterday ended up as the start of the card we did – I finally got past my mental brain block and figured it out!  It uses the wonderful tree dies from the Card Front Builder Thinlits, a little plaid paper from the Christmas Around the World DSP and a sweet little sentiment from Christmas Quilt.  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and, with the Big Shot, cut the Card Front Builder Thinlits double and single tree shapes from near the top.  I used the same dies to cut the shapes from a piece of Christmas Around the World DSP.  Then I stuck the plaid cuts inside the negative spaces and used scotch tape on the back to secure them in place.

I ran the panel back thru the Big Shot, cutting the trees a second time.  Check the video for a tip about placement, okay?

The insides of those negative spaces are filled with Garden Green die cuts – in the same way I did the plaid trees.  Then I embossed the panel in the Softly Falling TIEF and matted the whole thing on a Real Red mat.

My sentiment, from Christmas Quilt, is stamped on a strip of Very Vanilla in Real Red.  I bannerized the end with my Paper Snips and edged it with my Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker.  It’s popped on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals – both regular and Mini.

I cut another Christmas Around the World Card Front Builder tree, covered it with glue from my Fine-Tip Glue pen and “sugared” it with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere it to another tree in Very Vanilla.  I used some Dimensionals on the back to wind a few loops of Gold Metallic Thread and, with the addition of a little Liquid Glue, added it over the sentiment.

I added a few gold stars from the Metallics Enamel Shapes and the card front was done.

On the inside, I cut another double tree with the Card Front Builder Thinlits at the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel.  I stuck in another Christmas Around the World DSP tree (using some scotch tape on the back) and then adhered a Very Vanilla die cut over the top with Liquid Glue.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got two more Card Front Builder trees on the front – one in plaid and one in Very Vanilla…

…and more Christmas Around the World DSP plaid on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  For all that this one bamboozled me on Saturday night, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!  I love love love this plaid paper and those trees in the Card Front Builder Thinlits are just the best, don’t you think!?  Don’t forget the sweet and simple sentiment courtesy of the Christmas Quilt stamp set!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Video Sneak Peek

Mornin’, y’all!  Hope you remembered to set your clocks back last night when you went to bed!  I personally wish we’d just stick with daylight savings time all year long.  I hate this jumping around, don’t you?

So – you might be wondering about the relatively cryptic nature of the title of my post today?  Usually I stick a stamp name or die set or something like that in there, I know.

But…I had a card in my head when I got back from work last night.  And I spent too long trying desperately to make it work.  And it just wouldn’t.  But I refused to give up the concept, so I pulled out the Card Front Builder Thinlits.  And some Christmas Around the World plaid.

And then the creative process simply…stalled.  I had a concept, but…nothing concrete.  So…I decided to sleep on it and took a picture of what I had.  Take a look-see:

Looks promising, maybe – we’ll see what transpires when I look at it in the light of day! 🙂

I sure hope you’ll join me tonight, at 8pm Eastern, on my Stamps-N-Lingers Facebook page.  And we’ll all see what I’ve come up with by then! 🙂

Have a super Sunday – enjoy that extra hour!

Stampin’ Up! Musical Merry Carols for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster playing with today’s color challenge, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

I love this color combination!

I started with some fun paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP, then pulled a sentiment from the Musical Season stamp set and some elements from the Carols of Christmas and Card Front Builder Thinits.  Take a look-see:

I also used the sketch-side of this week’s Fusion challenge to help me with the layout.

Finally, I played along with Jaydee’s Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at The Paper Players.  Went down the left side.  Although…down the diagonal works, too! 😉

So – as you can see, I started with a tree-strewn piece of paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP.  Using the fun border/frame die from the Card Front Builder Thinlits, I cut the frame and matted it on a piece of Old Olive card stock (using Fast Fuse and some Liquid Glue in the corners).

I cut a tag from a piece of Whisper White, using my Scallop Top Punch.  With the little stars image from the Carols of Christmas stamp set, I stamped stars all over the tag in Versamark Ink, sprinkled them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated them up!  I edged the whole tag with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.

I ran a length of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon thru the top of the tag and tied it together with a piece of silver Mini Tinsel Trim.  Than I popped the whole thing onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment, from the Musical Season stamp set, is heat embossed in Silver on a strip of Whisper White.  Then I snipped banner ends and edged it with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  I added it with Liquid Glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under each end.

I cut two sets of trees with the die in the Card Front Builder Thinlits – one from a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP and one from Silver Foil.  I adhered them together with Liquid Glue and then to the card front with Liquid Glue and Mini Dimensionals.

I added a silver star Metallic Enamel Shape to the top of each tree and the card front was done!

On the inside, I cut another Card Front Builder Thinlits frame from a piece of Whisper White card stock.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel (also using a little Liquid Glue in the corners) to an Old Olive mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with  Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Carols of Christmas Silver heat-embossed stars on the front…I might have gone a little crazy cuz I like them – feel free to stop WAAY earlier if you want…

…and I added some more of the Merry Little Christmas DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I hadn’t used the pretty Carols of Christmas stamp set and Card Front Builder Thinlits in a while – forgot how pretty and fun it is!  And, of course, the Musical Season sentiment is simple and simply perfect.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle is Available Now!

Good morning, y’all!  Today’s the day!

Yep – it’s true – today you can finally – finally!! – order the Carols of Christmas stamp set and matching (and wondrous!) Card Front Builder Thinlits!!  Way to get started on those Christmas cards!

Now – for the past month or so, I’ve shared a few cards to give you some ideas and inspiration for using this beautiful set.  I think you’ll agree it’s a bit of a winner!!!

Take a look at the cards I’ve shared.  I think this little collection really shows how versatile this bundle really is!  Each picture will link you to the blog post that describes how to make that card!  And, of course, has all the products that you’ll need, so you can be sure that you’re all stocked up and ready to roll when your new goodies arrive!

My first card featured the Eastern Palace Specialty DSP and a wonderful color combination…Dapper Denim and Pool Party!  Check it out – there’s a video showing you how to make this one! 🙂

Next, I indulged my love of using Sheet Music on Christmas cards – or any other kind of card that I can figure out how to make it work on.  I love how this one turned out with the vintage look, complete with embossing and copper accents.  And – look at that – same exact sentiment, but a completely different look entirely! 🙂 Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Z-Fold Snowy Carols of Christmas

Good morning, y’all – it’s Monday.

Again.

How in the world does the weekend fly by so darned fast?!?  Sigh…

If you were able to join me last night on my Facebook Live video – thanks so much!  I hope you enjoyed it.  If not, here’s a link to the video on YouTube!

The layout on the front panel was inspired by the sketch this week at the Fusion challenge blog!

The video shows you step-by-step how to make this card.  It starts with a Pool Party base, cut to 5 1/2″ x 10 3/4″ and scored and folded at 4 1/4″ and then at 3 1/4″ from that fold. One cool thing about this kind of card is that it fits inside a normal A2-sized envelope! 🙂

The large end panel – which is the same size as the inside of a regular A2 card – is stamped with the little sparkle image from Carols of Christmas in Pool Party ink and the flourish in Tranquil Tide.  I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line the images up.

The sentiment, also from Carols of Christmas, is stamped in Tranquil Tide on a piece of Whisper White card stock, matted on Tranquil Tide and then Fast Fuse’d into the card on the center panel. Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Fun Fold Carols of Christmas Video Sneak Peek

Mornin’, peeps!  Welcome to another Sunday Sneak Peek.

I just made that up.

Yes, I really am that clever!

As has become my norm, I’m giving you a teensy look at the card we’re going to make tonight on my Facebook Live video at 8pm Eastern.  Here’s a link to the page, in case you don’t have it.

This is another one that uses the Carols of Christmas stamp set and bundled Card Front Builder Thinlits.  I might be loading you guys up with cards made with this cute bundle, cuz…1 Aug is just around the corner.  Like…on Tuesday!  And that’s when you can get this super-set for yourself!

I made this one with Tranquil Tide and Pool Party. And…Delightful Daisy DSP.  Here’s the sneaky peek…

As the post title implies, it’a a fun fold – a lot simpler than the one we did last week!  But still fun – and a nice little surprise for the recipient. Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas and a Foil Frenzy for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Kristi’s on vacation, but all the other ladies are hopping today, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

We had a color challenge this week – and they’re colors I really love together!

But – I love them so much that when I made my card, I used Kraft and Crumb Cake!  Which I realized as I was typing this post.  LOL!  Hmmmm – well, you’ll have to squint your eyes and pretend you’re seeing Soft Suede!

I used the Carols Of Christmas stamp set and some dies from the matching (and bundled!) Card Front Builder Thinlits to make my card today.  And I put it all together with some Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by the sketch at this week’s Fab Friday challenge. Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Sheet Music Carols of Christmas

It’s….HAWWWMP Day, y’all!  More to the point – it’s looking good to go home on Friday.  So…two days and a wake-up then home home home!

Which is good!

My card today corresponds with the announcement I alluded to yesterday!

Yes, indeed!

So – do the math.  Buy the bundle and save 10%.

Collect three or four or even five – or more – coupons and take the $10 – $15….you get the picture…off.  Think of the savings!

And – I can’t even do the math if you…joined Stampin’ Up! now and got the Carols of Christmas stamp set free in the Essentials Pack.  Then in August…take your 20% demonstrator discount off the Card Front Builder Thinlits and apply a few Bonus Days coupons!

Mind…Blown! 🙂

Watch for more information on the Carols Of Christmas bundle and how to order it as we get closer to the 1st, okay?

Last week, for my Sunday video, I made a card using this cool new bundle.  You can see it right here if you missed it!  I made another card today, but it looks completely different.  This time I added the new (and very very high on my list of favorite new stamps) Sheet Music background stamp.  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by the TGIF Sketch challenge this week.

..and it turned out that the CAS(ual) Fridays challenge was…

I started this one with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, and on it I stamped the Sheet Music image in Soft Suede ink.  Then I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.  Okay – maybe a little more than the edges – I even lightly went across the entire middle of the panel.  Then I matted it on a piece of Cherry Cobbler.

Next I cut a length of new 1/4″ Copper Trim and carefully pulled it apart so that it looks like some netting.  Using a short strip of Fast Fuse, I adhered the copper “net” to the card front.

My two banners are next, and I cut one from a piece of Cherry Cobbler DSP from the Be Merry DSP.  I lightly sponged it with my almost-dry Crumb Cake Sponge Dauber – just enough to make the white stars…not-so-white!  I punched the end into a banner with my Banner Triple Punch and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

The second banner is cut from some Copper Foil and embossed in the Woodland TIEF.  I cut the end with my Banner Triple Punch and adhered it over the top of the first banner.

I wrapped some Linen Thread three times around the card front, securing it in the back with tape.  I used another little piece of tape on the front to pull the three strands together underneath where I knew my sentiment would go.

Speaking of the sentiment, it’s from the Carols of Christmas stamp set (duh, right?) and is heat embossed in Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  I cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits oval, sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and matted it on Cherry Cobbler – cut with a scalloped die from the Ovals Layering Framelits.  Then I popped it over the banners with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the two corner flower dies in the Card Front Builder THinlits, I cut two corners from another bit of Copper Foil.  I added a few of the copper flower cut-outs to the side of the sentiment oval – two with Liquid Glue and one with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  Then I tied a double length bow of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I started with another panel of Very Vanilla and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.  Then I took those two Copper Foil cut out corners and fussy cut them to make them into flower-edged corners.  And I adhered them to the card panel with Liquid Glue.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Soft Suede card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a little light sponging with Crumb Cake and then – when the sponging was completely dry – I stamped a few of the flowers and holly sprigs from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder…

… and I added a few more flowers and holly leaves in Copper on the envelope flap, too (you can’t see them – but they’re on both ends of the flap)!

Et Voila!  Carols of Christmas and the matching Card Front Builder Thinlits is going to be one of the most versatile Christmas bundles in your stash this year – and for many years to come!  Hope you like – and are busily planning on grabbing it up as soon as it’s available on the 1st of August!
