Stampin’ Up! Delightful Daisy and a Charming Cafe

Good morning!  How’s it going today?  Do you have a good weekend planned? Hope so!

I did a quick and easy card today – very simple design, using an old favorite (well, not so very old, maybe!) – the Daisy Delight stamp set, bundled Daisy Punch and Delightful Daisy DSP – combined with a pretty sentiment from the Occasions stamp set called Charming Cafe.  Take a look-see:

I used the color scheme from this week’s Color Throwdown.  I love the Black/White/Any Color combination, don’t you? Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Large Letters and Springtime Daisies Hello!

Happy weekend, my peeps!  Hope you’ve got something fun planned??

My card today is one that uses a few different tools from my arsenal!  I’d been playing with a design in my head for a minute and decided it was time to try to implement it.  I used the Large Letters Framelits and some Daisy Punch flowers.  Along with a little Springtime Foils and Sweet Soiree Specialty DSPs.  Take a look-see:

The inspiration for the card came from the Floral Statements stamp set in the Annual Catalog!   Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Daisies, Baskets and Butterfly Basics Birthday for the Stamp Ink Paper #138

Happy Tuesday, folks – and welcome to another edition of the Stamp Ink Paper challenge!

We had a Cardmaker’s Choice challenge this week – which means….it was wide open!

For this one, I pulled out an oldie-but-a-goodie, called Butterfly Basics.  Then I added some new goodies – like the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF and the Celebrate You Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Delightfully Musical Daisies for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster for today’s color challenge, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

This one was kind of tough.

I decided to also play along with the clean-and-simple sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch.

To make my clean-and-simple card, using a tough color scheme, I used some Merry Music Specialty DSP from the new 2017 Holiday Catalog along with the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch.  Take a look-see:

I started with a simple Whisper White panel and used my Simply Scored Board to make horizontal and vertical score lines.  I flipped the panel over a couple of times while making my score lines – so some are raised and some are indented.  Then I matted it on a piece of Basic Black card stock.

I made the flower by punching three daisies with the Daisy Punch from the Merry Music Specialty DSP.  Each petal was sponged lightly with Flirty Flamingo ink.  Then I used the new Leaf Punch – in the 2017 Holiday Catalog – to punch three sets of leaves, also from Merry Music paper.  Those I sponged with Emerald Envy.

I lightly curled the petals of the flowers and then stacked and adhered them with Liquid Glue.  I laid everything in place on the card front and stamped my sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  You might recall – long ago, I cut the Thank You sentiment stamp in my Daisy Delight stamp set in half – that let me easily stamp it as a stacked sentiment instead on a single line.  I brushed the words with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush!

I adhered the leaves to the card front with Liquid Glue, then used a few Glue Dots to adhere a length of Black Mini Sequin Trim.  Over the top of all that, I used another Glue Dot to adhere the Daisy to the card front.

I added a Clear Faceted Gem to the center of the flower, and a few Black Rhinestone Jewels (Holiday Catalog) to the card front and that was it.

For the inside of my card, I took a Whisper White panel and cut a flower in the bottom corner with the Daisy Punch.  Using my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker, I edged the petals.  Behind the opening, I used some Liquid Glue to adhere a square of Merry Music Specialty DSP.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a Daisy Delight flower on the front.  I stamped the image three times – in stamped-off-once Flirty Flamingo – rotating the stamp slightly for each stamp.  Then I made a little mask with more punched daisies…

…and laid that over the flower.  Then I used a piece of card stock – with the Leaf Punch punched out as a stencil – and sponged some leaves in Emerald Envy…

…then I added some more Merry Music Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think this card shows that even things that are “Christmas” (Merry Music DSP) or “Halloween/Fall” (Black Rhinestones) can be combined in so many ways to create whatever you can imagine!  Of course, the Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch are favorites of most of us and I love how the elements all came together!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms and Daisies for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster for today’s sketch challenge, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

Here’s the sketch we worked with.

My friend asked me for a birthday card for her friend who’s had a few rough years.  She wanted something cheery.  And I thought – what’s more cheery than daisies?  Y’all told me that’s one of the reasons the Daisy Punch has been so popular, so…I went for it!  I added in a sentiment or two from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set – and a few other bits and pieces here and there.  Take a look-see:

Cheery, yes?? 🙂 Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Corner Pop-Up Card – and Blog Candy!

Hey, y’all – it’s Monday!  Bleh.  No.  Really.

Bleh bleh bleh!!  Yes, I’m happy to be home, but…I’d like a month of weekends, please!  And no work.  And no specter of future travel to places in Utah….I say again. BLEH BLEH BLEEEEEHHHHH!!

Okay – my self-blehing pity party is over.

Thank you for listening!

If you were able to join me last night on Facebook (thank you!) you saw me make today’s fun-fold card.  If you weren’t able to join – here’s a link to the video on You Tube!  Enjoy…

This card technique has been seen a lot on Pinterest these days, but the card I saw that really struck me and inspired this one is from Flutterbyheidi!  Check out her card right here!

I used the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch to make this one.  And a little bit of Wood Textures DSP.  Take a look-see:

Oh wait – yes, that’s quite pretty, no doubt.  But here’s the fun part! Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Pop-Up Daisy Video Sneak Peek!

Happy Sunday, y’all!  Hope your weekend is going well!

We spent Saturday….gardening.  I unpacked a little.  Gave Wayne a haircut.  Did some more brushing on the fur-bucket.  Took a little nap or two.     It was a nice day – punctuated with a solid rain/thunderstorm mid-afternoon, so it was even a little cooler when it was time to feed in the evening!

So – I figure you’ve come to expect that my Sunday post will contain a little sneak peek of what I’m going to be working on in my Sunday evening Facebook Live video.  And – today is no exception!

I know you can see a daisy there…so you know we’ll be playing with that cool Daisy Punch!  It’ll be back on the 31st – and this will be a fun card to be all ready to make when you get it in your hot little hands!  It’s a fun-fold card – and…we’re going to hope I can make it again while on camera!  Fingers crossed!   Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Daisies are Delightful for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a full complement of bloggers for you today, so be sure to check them all out and see how everyone handled our color challenge this week!

Take a gander at the colors we were given:

I decided to use some of the Petal Garden DSP Stack along with the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch (it WILL be back, folks!) to make a pretty thank you card.  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

I started with a simple Whisper White panel that I matted on Old Olive.  Near the bottom corner, I stamped the sentiment from Daisy Delight in Calypso Coral ink.

For my middle panel, I used six equal-sized strips of Pool Party paper from the Petal Garden DSP Stack, and adhered them to an Old Olive mat with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My daisy (I think it’s a Gerbera – and I learned the technique from my friend Jaimie – who’s one of our hoppers today!) is three Daisy Delight flowers inked in Calypso Coral and stamped on some Calypso Coral paper in the Petal Gardens DSP Stack.  I punched them out with the Daisy Punch and brushed all the petals with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  To assemble them, I first curled the petals with a Bone Folder – some down and some up – then I used a Stampin’ Dimensional between each flower to create a stack.  Don’t forget to rotate each flower so that all the gaps are filled in with petals!

I used Glue Dots around the back of my flower to wind some Old Olive Baker’s Twine and Gold Metallic Thread around in several loops, then used another Stampin’ Dimensional to pop the flower onto the card front.

I decided it needed a little more oomph, so I stamped a couple of leaves from Daisy Delight in Old Olive on some Whisper White card stock.  Then I used the fill-in image in stamped-off-once Old Olive and fussy cut the leaves.  I used a little Liquid Glue to stick them into the flower.  Finally, I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the middle of the flower and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Daisy Delight flower image three times in Calypso Coral ink in the corner of a Whisper White panel – rotating the image each time.  Then I used my Clear Wink to paint the petals in Calypso Coral.  I added a couple of Old Olive leaves – and another Gold Faceted Gem to the middle of the flower.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added another Calypso Coral Daisy Delight flower and brushed the petals with my Clear Wink of Stella…

…and added some more Petal Garden DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I couldn’t help it, y’all!  Had to use the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch.  And it just goes so perfectly with the Petal Garden DSP.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Delightful Daisy Delight in the Round!

Happy weekend, y’all!  Hope yours is going well so far. 🙂  I thought I had to work today, but…my guys worked extra long last night and at 6:30 we realized we’d get the whole, entire, beautiful two weekend days off!!  Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-HOO!!! 🙂  I’m ready – and I know they sure are, too!

My card today is so quick and easy to put together – thanks to some beautiful Wood Textures DSP and Delightful Daisy DSP, a couple of stamped images from the matching Daisy Delight stamp set and some Circle Dies.  Take a look-see:

This unusual layout was inspired by the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week.

And many of the elements were inspired by the inspiration photo from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

I had an Old Olive card base from a previous effort (that I ended up not using!) and it already had the front of the card base embossed in the new Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF.  It seemed sort of perfect for this one, so I just pulled it back out to use!  Sometimes it’s good to be a pack-rat!! 🙂

I started with a piece of Wood Textures DSP and ran it thru the Big Shot in the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF, then I matted it on some Daffodil Delight card stock.

After that, it was just a matter of cutting the Daffodil Delight scalloped circle mats and picking and cutting my favorite papers from the Delightful Daisy DSP.  I used the Circles Layering Framelits – making this a quick task.

Well…all but picking my favorite papers from the Delightful Daisy DSP pack.  That took a minute – too many to choose from! 🙂

I adhered everything together and then to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For my sentiment, I stamped the pretty one from Daisy Delight in Old Olive onto a Whisper White strip, snipped a banner end and then edged the whole thing with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker.

I cut a piece of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon, cut the ends to a banner and attached it to my sentiment with a handheld stapler.  It’s popped on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish off, I tied a small bow with Linen Thread and attached it with a little dab of Liquid Glue, then added some Old Olive Glitter Enamel Dots, and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the pretty little flower stamp from the Daisy Delight stamp set and stamped it a couple of times on a piece of Whisper White.  They each got a quick stem with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I cut it with another Circle Layering Framelits die and matted it on a scalloped Daffodil Delight mat.

I matted the panel on a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Daisy Delight flowers on the front…

…and then I added a little more of the Delightful Daisy DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Even without the Daisy Punch, this Delightful Daisy Suite is wonderful and gorgeous!  And it combines so nicely with the Wood Textures DSP to make a quick and easy card.  Hope you like! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Wild About Daisies!

Mornin’, y’all and happy Hawwmp Day!

I wanted to quickly remind you that I’ve got a couple three openings left in my upcoming Online Host Clubs – these are great ways to earn host rewards!  I’ve got all the details on my Online Host Club page, so check it out.  And then get your name on the list!

Speaking of hosts…we found out that Stampin’ Up! will be offering an extra $35 in Stampin’ Rewards for qualifying orders or parties over $350 in June!  We’ll get more details on the 30th, and I’ll be passing them on lickety-split.  In the meantime, be thinking about how you’d spend an extra $35 of free money!

For today, I made a pretty, flowery and feminine card with the Wild About Flowers stamp set, and a few favorite goodies from the new Delightful Daisy Suite.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

I started with a beautiful piece of paper from the Delightful Daisy DSP and matted it on a piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock.

The next layer is a rectangle of Whisper White card stock.  Using the images in the Wild About Flowers stamp set, I stamped several stems in Old Olive ink.  Then I added flowers in Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder and Peekaboo Peach.  I SNAILd the panel to a Peekaboo Peach mat and then onto my card front.

I used a length of Tranquil Tide 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon, looping it around and securing it in place with some strategically placed Glue Dots.  This ribbon, available on 1 June, is just lovely – it’s thin enough to be pliable but it’s got enough heft to do what you need it to do!  And it’s going to be available in all the new 2017-2019 In Colors!  And – you could get a couple of yards in each color in my Catalog Shares.  Check those out right here – still have a few spots open!

My flower is made from two punched Whisper White daisies that I cut with the Daisy Punch.  I adhered them together with a bit of Liquid Glue and then stamped one of the flower middles from the Daisy Delight stamp set, in So Saffron ink.

My sentiment is from the Eastern Beauty stamp set, stamped in Tranquil Tide on Whisper White.  I snipped a banner end and edged it with my Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker.

I popped the daisy on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added the sentiment with a Glue Dot.  Over the middle of the flower, I added a new Gold Faceted Gem.  And yes – that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I used the large stem from Wild About Flowers and stamped it in Old Olive in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the image off twice before stamping the panel.  The flowers are added in stamped-off-twice Calypso Coral ink.  I added a sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Tranquil Tide.

I SNAILd the panel to a Peekaboo Peach mat and into my Tranquil Tide card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a full-strength Old Olive and Calypso Coral flower on the front…

…and I added a slightly different paper from the Delightful Daisy DSP to the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I love this Wild About Flowers stamp set – the images are so simple and beautiful!  And the way it just meshes with the Delightful Daisy is simply…wait for it….Delightful!!  Hope you like and are anxious to get this new Suite in your hands!!  And already have Wild About Flowers!!

I Have a Few Share Spots Left!!

Stamps-N-Lingers 2017-2018 Annual Catalog Shares

What are catalog shares, you ask?  Well…think of them as a Test Drive of a new catalog!

In this Annual Catalog, there are 16 new Designer Papers….14 new Embellishments…..and more new ribbons than I can count!!  If you were to buy one of each of them –  you’d spend over $600!  Shares are a great way to get a little of everything from the new Catalog!  You get a chance to “try before you buy”!

I’ve got a few options for you to pick from:  a New Designer Series Paper Share, a New Ribbons/Embellishments Share, and an I Want It All Share (this one gets a couple of free extra goodies!!).  You can get all the details and a full list of what you’ll get with each share type and get signed up for your Share right here.  Don’t delay – 30 May is the cutoff date!

Finn-Fan Fix…

Well – it spent a lot of the day raining here.

Almost-one-year-old Aussies love the rain!

And it’s never raining too much to play in and around the pond.

But, almost-one-year-old Aussies also know that our actions have consequences!  He’s smart that way.
