Stampin’ Up! Rose Wonder Joins Grateful Bunch

It’s Friday again! Whoo-hoo! I’m almost back to being “on” Eastern time – which is good for the morning, but bad for my evening stamping sessions! When I’m still on Mountain or Pacific time, I get a lot done in the evening! Not so much when the old bod realizes where it is!! 🙂

Thanks to all who came by yesterday for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop – it means a lot to all of us to have you see what we put together for you each week!

Today’s share is the last card I made in Arizona. I combined flowers and flowers and flowers – all from the fun Grateful Bunch bundle with a couple of great sentiments from Rose Wonder. This one went out to my friend who’s fighting a battle with cancer. I purposely made it a little over the top – cheery and warm. I wanted the flowers to be abundant – to look like a cottage garden overflowing with beautiful blooms. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – it’s Thursday and that means it’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop Day! Whether you came from Shelagh’s blog or direct – I hope that you’ll make your way thru all the Blog Hoppin’ Ladies today!

Today was a bit hectic – besides working, it was grocery day, post office day, organize-the-stamping-area-day….oh, and make a card for the Blog Hop (the fun part of the day!). 🙂

I decided it was time to make a birthday card – a person can’t ever have too many of those waiting in the wings, now can they? And I’ve been a bit remiss in replenishing my stock – been a bit stuck on Thank You and the odd Hey-Congrats-on-Getting-Engaged cards! So, I tagged the beautiful Birthday Blossoms set from the Annual Catalog and made a mono-chromatic card featuring the gorgeous Wisteria Wonder. Stampin’ Up! A Beautiful Ride to Congratulate a New Couple!

Good Wednesday to y’all! Hope that your week is going well. I’m engrossed in trying to get back into the swing of things at home, receiving my boxes of toys from the post office, setting my stampin’ spot back up (I moved it a bit – and got all my fun new StampNStorage goodies all set up), and trying to kick my traditional post-business-trip cold. Cuz…why not? 🙂 It really is the only way to experience the entirety of a long trip, don’t you think?

My card share today is one that I did last week in preparation for not having my stuff or the energy to get it all together to be card making for a day or two. It uses the Wink of Stella “watercolor” technique that I did a few weeks ago (want to see that one? Here’s the link!) paired with the Beautiful Ride stamp set from the Occasions catalog. Stampin’ Up! Pedal Pusher Sneak Peek!

Good morning from Atlanta!! 🙂

Made it safely home (says Capt Obvious!) last night. A minor miracle took place on the plane. I had a window seat (not the miracle). A young lady finally took the aisle seat. We started to chat and discovered our mutual Air Force background. People kept streaming by us – and no one was taking our middle seat. We began to get excited.

The flight attendant came by and asked us if someone was sitting there. We said no (cuz – that’s how we were raised!) and she replied that she had someone who needed a seat.

Somewhat crestfallen, we waited for the passenger to arrive.

And they closed the doors! Yes, you read that right – they closed the doors and we were blessed with the ONLY open middle seat in the whole plane! I tell ya – it was like Christmas! It was almost like being upgraded to First Class!

What does it say about air travel these days that we were so pitifully grateful to just not have someone in the middle seat? Really?!

Motor home, baby. Motor home!

Any hooch – today I’m doing a quick share of a new stamp set that y’all can get for yourself starting tomorrow! It’s the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Pedal Pusher – and boy is it fun! The focal image is a great tandem bicycle – have you guys ever ridden one of those? We had one when I was growing up and my brother and I would take turns riding on the back with my dad in the front. We always thought we were so clever – we’d put our feet up on the center bar – and make Dad do all the peddling! 🙂

I paired the new stamp set with an Occasions set called Happy Home. And I threw in a couple of little images from Beautiful Ride. What you’re about to see is what happens when I get a couple of sets and my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig together! Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Quick Update and New Tutorial!

Hey guys – not much to share with this – my second post of the day! – but did want to let you know that I’ve uploaded a Tutorial for the Mini Murse in a box that I shared yesterday! Check it out here.

And – in case you didn’t already know it – this stampin’ stuff is HEAVY!! Fortunately, I got to the airport early (and it wasn’t busy!) so I had time to move stuff from one suitcase to another and pull out a few things (magnetic platform!!) to put in my carry-on tote! 10 pounds over!! Yikes! The Delta check-in agent was quite nice, though – letting me do what I needed to do and not rushing me!

The card I made for you today is a blatant Valentines’ Day card – right down to “Be Mine”! I used the new Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits and the coordinating Bloomin’ Love stamp set. Stampin’ Up! Going Places Mini Murse in a Box

All my bags are packed (sort of)…..

I’m ready to go (mostly)….

I’m standing’ here – outside your door (no – don’t go to the door, I’m not really there)….

Already I’m so tired-of-traveling I could cry-ai-ai…..ai ai…. 🙂

No – I don’t intend to quit my day job and take up singing or song-writing!

But, I am getting close to being ready to head out. I mailed home three boxes today – so heavy I could hardly carry them (thank goodness for if-it-fits-it-ships pricing!) and even threw my back out (why not?!?) and I’m still worried about how heavy my luggage will be. I think if I’m going to keep doing this travel-around-for-work thing, I’m going to need a motor home, specially equipped with a stamping room! Whatcha think? 😉

So, today’s post is quick. I’ll be adding a tutorial over on the Tutorials page (seems like a good place to put it, yes?) with the details on making these cute little treat boxes. I got the idea from Kristi Gray, a fellow Happy Stamper, who shared her little treat boxes that she’d made after seeing a tutorial from Sam Donaldson, in the UK. I was tickled to see them – cuz they use 6″ x 6″ paper! Which is about all I had here in Arizona. And – you make them with the Envelope Punch Board, which I’d carefully carried all the way here and never used. Cuz I didn’t have any paper big enough to make an envelope with – yes, pretty awesome planning!

As soon as I saw them, I got the idea to make a little bag in a box for the folks in my team here. I used Going Places DSP – cuz it’s mostly guys! Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! A Quick Special Post About Placing Online Orders!

I wanted to drop y’all a quick note about online ordering through the Stampin’ Up! store. There’s one itty-bitty question at the bottom of the payment page that causes lots of confusion and checking it can cause all sorts of mayhem! Okay, “mayhem” may be kind of a strong term….but it surely can cause your SU! Demonstrator some angst! 🙂

It’s the question that says, “Allow my demonstrator to contact me with order updates and other important information.”

Stampin’ Up! Botanicals Thanks For You!

Well, it’s happened. I’ve got projects to share stockpiled on my desk. We’re done with our project. There’re no more excuses. All that’s left is to tape together boxes, load them up and get them to the post office tomorrow. And then I’m out on Saturday! I do have to keep reminding myself that I have tomorrow to pack and mail and mentally prepare. You’d think I’d be extra anxious to leave and get home, but…I’m not all that comfortable with changes. It’s forever been true for me that I’m better at being gone than I am at getting gone. It’s why I do 3 – 4 month trips versus a couple of weeks and then home and then back and then home…. I nest up. I get comfy where I am and in the routine du jour. Switching it up….yuk.

But, tomorrow it’s time – and, truthfully, once I start the process and get into it – all will be well. It’s funny, I can almost feel my brain make the transition from being “here” to being “there”. I can’t predict when it will happen – but I’ll all of a sudden realize, sometime between right this second and getting on the plane on Sunday….I’m ready to be home!

And that probably falls into the TMI category, and what-the-heck-is-she-talking-about-why-doesn’t-she-get-on-with-the-card!! 😉 Sorry.

So, for today, I have a card that leans heavily on some of the beautiful papers and stamps in the Sale-a-Bration flyer. Wildflower Fields DSP is some of the prettiest paper I’ve seen. I’ve combined it with another of the free goodies in the SAB – Botanicals For You. Add in the ever-versatile One Big Meaning, from the Annual Catalog and a little Botanical Garden Designer Vellum and….take a look-see:
