My card today is a pretty one – and one that I’m glad to have in my stash. I hate when I NEED this kind of card – but, I DO like thinking that it will bring a smile to someone who might need it! An old family friend recently passed away and I needed a sympathy card, so…I pulled on my thinking cap and spent some time perusing my shelves for the perfect tool. (My Zoom the Craftroom ladies had to spend a little time staring at my back! 🤷♀️ ) I settled on the sweet Ginkgo Branch stamp set and just used it with a little sponging to make a clean, simple and elegant card for a somber need. My card today is a challenge. A personal one. While some folks are put off and intimidated by layers and fussy cutting and bows and bling…I am intimidated by….the single layer card.

This card is one that I made to replenish my sympathy card stash – we all need them at one point or another and I like to have a couple ready to go! Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! Hope the week is going well for you. We’re in the midst of the Virtual Incentive Trip event being put on by Stampin’ Up – and it’s been pretty amazing so far. Today is a ZOOM networking session with other achievers and…a Game Show tonight! “So You Think You Can Craft” is the name and….it sounds like it’s going to be a fun time!! 🙂 It’s not quite the same as having all of us together – on a ship – or on Maui – but…it’s a pretty solid substitute!!
My card for today is a pet sympathy card for a friend of mine. I used the new Full of Love stamp set – and the carrying-over Inspired Thoughts set. And – I did some embossing with the Into the Clouds embossing folder. Take a look-see:

I realized that my sympathy card supply was really low (like…totally depleted!) so I reached for my go-to sentiment set for such things – Peaceful Moments. Obviously this great set has other wonderful sentiments but – that’s the one I seem to pull it out for the most. And I decided to go full-on pretty and the Free Daffodil Afternoon DSP with the coordinating Daffodil Daydream bundle called my name! Take a look-see:

My card today is destined for someone who’s had a rough few months, punctuated by a very bad week. So I hope it will help her to smile for just a minute and know that there are folks pulling for her and her family!
