Hey, y’all. It’s Sunday – hope you’re enjoying the weekend! I’m card making and Good-willing and avoiding-cleaning…. and contemplating a re-arranging of my crafting area.
Contemplating is hard work. It’s way more intense than what Wayne does, which is Debating. He’s always Debating what to do. This? That? Neither? Debating is a long-term exercise. It can last for…years!
Contemplating, on the other hand, is more difficult. Contemplating has a time-limit. When you contemplate – you’ve already done your debating and decided that you will do something. You probably even know what the something is…contemplating is where you determine the how to do the something you’ve done decided to do. Do you see? 😉
My contemplation will continue for a bit longer – my Russian visitor is not coming now until the end of the year….so…I have a bit of a cleaning/contemplating/re-arranging reprieve!
My card today is for a friend who just lost her dog. Her story hit me pretty close to home, because her dog became ill rather suddenly, spent time at the vet and then died. Just like our Buck did last summer. So when I heard the news, I needed to send a card. I went with the super stamp set called Better Together, and a little bit of Thoughts & Prayers. Take a look-see:
Happy Valentine’s Day, y’all! I hope you and your special someone have a nice day planned. Or a special dinner. Or at least you’re not planning to vacuum today… 😉
The card I made for you today is a blatant Valentines’ Day card – right down to “Be Mine”! I used the new Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits and the coordinating Bloomin’ Love stamp set. The card itself is a fun-fold gate card, that I learned how to make at the Splitcoaststampers Wednesday Tutorial. You can see it here! Take a look-see:
Good 50th-Super-Bowl-morning! I’ll make the assumption that you’re prepping your Game Day goodies for all the fans in your house. I mean – isn’t that what everyone is doing? I don’t watch a lot of football, it’s true. But I almost never miss the Super Bowl. I admit to liking the commercials – but I also enjoy the game itself. I seldom care much one way or the other who wins – although I’ve always picked someone to root for by half-time! – but this year, with the Broncos playing, I feel a familial obligation to root for the them. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like Tom Brady, though. They’re both really super QB’s – so I’m thinkin’ it’s gonna to be a rockin’ game! 🙂
This is a quick card – it looks harder by far than it is. And aren’t those the very best kind? It uses the gorgeous new Bloomin’ Heart Bundle, a couple of sentiments from the First Sight stamp set and some cardstock. Easy. Take a look-see:
Mornin’, y’all! As we hit the half-way point, I hope the week is treating you well and that you’re busily stamping away with your fave SU! products and waiting for your new Occasions goodies and FREE Sale-a-Bration toys to arrive in the mail!
My share today is a wedding card – I don’t have anyone on my list right now who needs a wedding card (at least not one that’s as Princess wedding/formal as this card turned out!), but the sketch challenge that I played with for this card just seemed to cry out for a wedding card! I ended up using the completely perfect-for-a-wedding-card Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits, some florals from Timeless Love and both Sassy Salutations and For The New Two stamp sets for my sentiments. Here we go, folks – the very last Happy Stampers Blog Hop of the year. When next we meet, it’ll be 2016! I hope that you’ll take a moment on this – the last day of the year – to check out the card I have to share, and then hop thru all the other ladies’ posts to peruse their projects as well!
I used several designs from the Love Blossoms DSP Stack (coming on 5 Jan) to make a sort of sampler. Then I pulled the huge and gorgeous heart die and a few stamps from my Bloomin’ Love Bundle to finish it off. Take a look-see:
