Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Stockings Santa Paws for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the colors, I figured I’d pull out the Sweet Little Stockings Bundle and the coordinating Sweet Stockings DSP.  And so…I did!  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our color challenge!

And I pulled from the Global Design Project sketch challenge for the layout.

I started with some Cherry Cobbler paper from the Sweet Stockings DSP that I matted on Bumble Bee cardstock for the card front.

I cut another pattern with a Stitched So Sweetly die  – then I adhered that to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Note: I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for two pieces on this card!

I cut a Basic White piece using a Hippo & Friends Die

…and adhered it with more Liquid Glue.

I looped a length of Bumble Bee 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon around in a loose…bow….using Glue Dots to adhere it in place.

Using a die in the Stockings Die set, I cut out a Christmas stocking printed on one of the designs in the Sweet Stockings DSP, then I adhered it over the ribbon with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the little kitty face from Sweet Little Stockings in Basic Gray on a piece of Basic White.  Then I used my Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Combo – and a smidge of Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend (inside her ear-balls) to color her.  I cut her with the matching die in the Stockings Die set.

I used the leafy-branch die in the Stockings Dies, I cut two Old Olive branches – and adhered them to the white die cut with Liquid Glue. I added some Cherry Cobbler Matt Decorative Dots.

I stamped the Sweet Little Stockings sentiment in Bumble Bee on a piece of Basic White and cut it with the next-to-smallest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die.

I popped the sentiment over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then used a single Dimensional (under the top of the kitty’s head) and a little Liquid Glue to add the die cut kitty head.

I added an Old Olive Matte Decorative Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Sweet Little Stockings sentiment in Bumble Bee ink on a piece of Basic White.  Then I added the little kitty in Basic Gray – colored as I’d done on the front.  I added a couple of Cherry Cobbler Matte Decorative Dots.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sweet Little Stockings kitty on the front…

…and more of the Sweet Stockings DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is such a sweet suite.  The critters in the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set are so much fun and I LOVE that the Stockings Dies cut out those stamped images AND several of the printed images on the Sweet Stockings DSP!  I love when SU gives us dies that cut DSP images!  Makes for quick and easy decorating!! 🙂

I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Christmas Trees Let Your Heart Be Light

Good morning and welcome to another week.  You’ll be glad to know that Finn had a great Gotcha-Day weekend.  Yesterday he got to ride to two DIFFERENT Home Depots – and go in BOTH times!  It was a dog’s dream!  Even the slightly rude dog in the second store couldn’t dampen the happiness of my kid!  I will say though that, whatever that handsome husky said…it was…not nice!  Finn got serious FAST!  He didn’t start it but…he was for sure going to FINISH it!  Whatever HE said back shut that other dog up but QUICK! 😉  All of which makes my “no sniffing or greeting on a leash” rule even more sacred!

So – my card today takes us back to Christmas (which is – yes…only SEVENTY days away! 😳) and the wunnermus Whimsical Trees bundle and coordinating Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP (one of my fave DSPs of all time – whoda thunk it?!?).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week.

I started with some snowflake-strewn paper from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP that I matted on Misty Moonlight for the card front.

Then I used a Rectangle Stitched Die to cut some Mossy Meadow design DSP – that I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Note: this graphic shows the different Rectangle Stitched Dies I used on this card!

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere two lengths of Blushing Bride 3/8″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon to the card front

I cut another piece of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP (the striped design) with a Stitched Rectangle Die and popped it over the ribbons with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a Wonderful Snowflakes embellishment to the striped DSP.

There are two super-cute tree dies in the Christmas Trees die set – and I used them to cut two (one of each size) from Misty Moonlight cardstock and one of the larger ones from Mint Macaron.   I also stamped the small tree from Whimsical Trees in Mint Macaron on Basic White and cut it with its matching die from the Christmas Trees set.

I adhered the trees to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Whimsical Trees sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Basic White and cut it with the smallest, narrow die in the Stitched Rectangle Die set (see the graphic).  I popped this over the little collage with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a little silver bow from the twine in the Simply Elegant Trim pack and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue.  Then I added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Whimsical Trees sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Basic White.  I added the little tree in the corner in Mint Macaron and gave it a Champagne Rhinestone “star”.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight panel and into my Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Mint Macaron Whimsical Trees tree on the front…

…and more of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I LOVE this Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP – and this layout really let me use a lot of it!  The Whimsical Trees stamp set – with the bundled Christmas Trees die set – is so fun!  I love the images and the sweet, delicate sentiments!  And the dies even include GARLAND dies for the trees. Cool!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

So…the other night…I get back to the house – Finn had beat me (that happens a lot).

I see…SOMETHING…sticking out of his mouth.

I stop well short and attempt to discern what the SOMETHING is.

Too far away.

Had to get closer.

Is it…a mouse?  A…gulp…snake?

After much squinting – all while saying “no…STAY…noooooSTAY….nooooooooooSTAAAAAAAY!!” a lot…

…I identified the SOMETHING.

A horse hoof paring.

Not sure where he found it, cuz it’s been a minute since the shoer was here.

But…I was SO happy that the SOMETHING was not a…living…gift!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes & Peaceful Place Christmas Card

Good morning and happy Monday!  The last Monday in September.  Can you even believe it?? I’m having trouble with the idea that we’re headed into the last few months of 2021.  Crazy!

Even crazier??  Sale-a-Bration 2 is almost over – three more days is all that’s left and then…buh-bye free stuff!  Buh-bye FREE extra bundle just for buying a Starter Kit and starting to get a 20% discount on everything.  Seems like yesterday SAB 2 was kicking off – and now it’s almost over!

My card today is an easy one that would be a sweet addition to your Christmas Card list.  It used the Merry Snowflakes stamp set – bundled with the Stitched Snowflakes Dies.  And some pretty Peaceful Place Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees & Wonder Top-Fold Easel Card

Good Sunday morning, y’all – from the North GA mountain!  It’s the last day of our retreat – hard to believe.  It takes SO long to get here and then –BLINK– it’s over!  We’ve had such a good time I’m already looking ahead to a team retreat NEXT year here, too!  Maybe one of you reading this will join us! 🙂

We’ve done a bunch of great shoebox projects – and they’re all wunnermus!  I’ll most likely be sharing them over the next few days.  But today, I want to show you the project that I brought for everyone!  It uses one of my fave sets/suites in the Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog – the Whimsical Christmas stamp set with it bundled Christmas Trees dies.  And the gorgeous – totally non-traditional-Christmas colored! – Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP.  AND – it’s one of my favorite fun folds, too!  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Whimsy Kit Peek!

Good morning and…let me be the first to wish you a very Happy HAWWWMP DAY!!!  Yes!  It’s Wednesday – and….THAT means that I only have two sleeps before I head to the airport to pick up Amy and Karen and then head up to the north GA mountains for our Inkin’ Krew Retreat!  I am so excited to see everyone – and I’ve got a couple of ladies who are in my Crittters-N-Creatin’ Krew Team that I’ve never met in person!  Plenty of time on Zoom – but…this’ll be the first time we’re in the same spot!  It’s going to be a blast!  I’ll share pics as I’m able thru the weekend!

Stampin’ Up! recently released a brand new All-Inclusive Kit called Christmas Whimsy.  I ordered it first jump out the gate and when it came….I dove in!  Remember – this is the one I think looks like it come straight outta Who-Ville!!

When I opened it up I found everything – and I do mean….EVERYTHING!…I needed to make eight fun Christmas cards!

THAT is the neat and tidy image from Stampin’ Up!  Here’s my hot mess!

Great job, Mare! 🤦‍♀️

But – I popped all the die cut pieces, folded the two designs of card bases and opened up the instructions.  I decided that at least for this first one, I’d do them exactly as the instructions said.

The instruction sheet is cool – they used pictures to let you know what to do and in what order – and (unlike some picture directions – you know the ones I mean!) – THESE actually WORK!

I mean – they even tell you how many stars or snowflakes to use and where to put the Dimensionals! 👍👍👍

I used the enclosed Night of Navy Ink Spot and the exclusive stamp set to stamp snowflakes and stars on the card bases – and stamp the sentiments.  This is where I DID depart a little – I’m not a huge “Season’s Greetings”  fan so I did them all with Merry Christmas.  But…you can do whichever you prefer – they both fit on the labels perfectly (thanks, Stampin’ Up!).

There’s a roll of Gold Trim to use on each design – love the tag “tied” on (in truth it’s got a little Glue Dot and the tag itself is popped on with a couple of dimensionals!).   And there are pretty blue foil snowflakes and stars adhesive-backed sequins to add, too!

The second design also gets a little gold foil star “sticker” added – only hard part here is making sure to get the ladder onto the card front straight so that it doesn’t look like someone is fixin’ to end up in the ER!

There’s even an “inside” sentiment that I used – and added some Night of Navy stamped stars.

I guess Stampin’ Up! has heard me say #nonekkidenvelopes cuz they included some beautiful envelopes with Gold Foil accents.

But…I added some stars to the front, too.  Cuz….I could! 😉

Et Voila!  In the blink of an eye I had eight fun full-sized cards – with insides stamped and ready – and decorated envelopes – all ready to get signed, stamped and mailed!  No cutting (except for the Gold Trim!) required – and the easy instructions make this a PERFECT project for new stampers or kids or….pretty much anyone who needs really cute Christmas cards!  It would be a GREAT activity to do together with family and friends – order a few kits and get to creating! 🙂

I hope you like!

And – this isn’t the ONLY kit that we’ve got available right now!  Check them all out – we’ve got stamping kits and even NON-Stamping kits for you to choose from.  Stop by the online store Kits Collection to pick up your kits!  Don’t forget that the kits are only available while supplies last, so order quick to make sure that you get yours…and pick up some free Sale-a-bration goodies if your order reaches $50!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Knit Together Christmas Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  I hope your weekend was good despite the inherent solemnity of the date. Other than my haircut on Saturday, we stuck pretty close to home.  🙂  I’m busy getting ready for our team retreat next weekend and we had a team meeting yesterday.  We made some cute cards – and I’ll be sharing my riffs on a couple of them in then next little while.

My card for today uses the sweet Merriest Moments stamp set with the bundled Merriest Frames Dies and…the Knit Together bundle.  Take a look at what I came up with when I added some Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Pines and For Unto Us CAS Christmas Cards

Good morning, all – and Happy Happy HAWWWMP Day!  The week is flying by, isn’t it?  I had to look at my watch when I started this post last night to see what day it was.  I was shocked to realize it was already Tuesday.  Yikes!

I’ve been getting some queries about ideas for easy to make Christmas cards – that are suitable for making multiples!  I made one a couple weeks back using the Curvy Christmas stamp set – you can see it here.  But – it got me to thinking, so I decided to do a riff on that one – with one of my favorite stamp sets – the Peaceful Boughs set.  I added a sentiment for the inside from For Unto Us and went back to the gorgeous Gold Cards & Envelopes, just like the first card.  Take a look-see:

I pulled out the sweet little Have a Hoot stamp set (didn’t need to use the bundled Peek-a-Hoot dies this time – but they’re there!) and used it as the starting point for my wintery Christmas card – with the pretty Snowflake Splendor DSP playing backup.  Take a look-see:
