Good morning, y’all! Are you hunkering down under the weight of snow and ice and bitter cold?? If so, I hope you’ve got power and water and heat. And chocolate – chocolate is a pretty awesome winter-storm-survival food.
Yesterday, while a few of us were chatting and crafting on my Monday Zoom the Craftroom, I put together a pretty non-Mary kind of card. In that…it’s not got a ton of layers. And not a bow in sight! But…I like how it turned out – and I think it would be a great card for a man! It used a sentiment from my handy Many Messages bundle and a few Lots of Heart bundle hearts. Take a look-see:

The layout and elements were inspired by the FUSION challenge this week. The sketch side and, to some extent, the photo side! 🙂

I started with some light wood paper from the In Good Taste DSP and matted it on Mossy Meadow for the card front.
I took a second piece of the In Good Taste and made a banner with it using my Banner Triple Punch.

Using two of the heart dies in the Many Hearts die set (bundled with Lots of Heart), I cut a Mossy Meadow and a Gray Granite heart. This pattern is one of the new 2021-2022 Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP pack – and you can get it for FREE when you join Stampin’ Up! before the end of Sale-A-Bration on 28 Feb. And it’ll bring 160 of its friends (translation: you’ll get 200 SHEETS of new-design DSP!!).

I adhered the two hearts to the card front with Liquid Glue.
For the sentiment, I used the Many Messages stamp to stamp all those wonderful sentiments in Bumble Bee on Basic White and then cut them with the single big die in the bundled Messages Die. Full disclosure: I had this sentiment – and a bunch of others! – in my little tackle box from stamping and cutting them for a previous card!

I popped my sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot, and the card front was done.
Yep – done. Set. The. Card. Front. Down!
On the inside, I inked the plaid heart from Lots of Heart in Mossy Meadow and stamped it in the corner of a Basic White panel. I added a sentiment from Lots of Heart in Bumble Bee. And another Bumble Bee enamel dot, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Bumble Bee card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the plaid Lots of Heart heart on the front in Mossy Meadow…

…and more of the In Good Taste DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Simple. Hardly any layers (easy to mail – you’re welcome!). Not my normal card style by any stretch. But…I really like how it turned out! The two sets – Lots of Heart and Many Messages go together perfectly, don’t you think??

And don’t forget – there’s only 12 days left in Sale-A-Bration! Which means…in THIRTEEN days….no more free 200 sheets of new DSP (that’s a $59 value – on top of the awesome Starter Kit goodness!) for joining the team! Be sure to pull the trigger and get in on the great deal before it’s gone. I’d love to have you on my team! 🙂
