Oh. Card – right! This is a clean-and-simple little number – yes I CAN do CAS when I put my mind to it! – that showcases the gorgeous Quiet Meadow stamp set! I framed it with a Radiating Stitches die cut! Take a look-see:
Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I haven’t played too much with the Tranquil Thoughts bundle – but…I should have been! It’s got such pretty florals – and the sentiment I used on today’s card is one of my favorite pairs! Take a look-see:
Good morning, y’all! Hope you’re enjoying your social-distancing-“vacation”! We’re truly trying our best to stay close to home with only “emergency” trips to get gardening supplies. So we can plant our Victory Garden! 🙂
JK….
Mostly. 😉
I made a simple (for me!) card for you today featuring the Beautiful Moments stamp set atop some Country Club DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one comes from this week’s Fab Friday sketch challenge.
I started with a plaid from the Country Club DSP that I matted on Basic Black for the card front.
Next up is a square of Basic Black, embossed in the Stone 3D Embossing Folder (which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $100 order!). I adhered the square with Liquid Glue to the card front.
To create the art panel, I stamped the sweet image from Beautiful Moments in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White. At the same time, I stamped the image on a piece of Granny Apple Green paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP and again on some Garden Green paper from the Regals DSP.
I cut the Whisper White image with the largest square Stitched Shapes die and stamped the bird image in Tuxedo Black. Then I popped it onto the card front with Liquid Glue.
From the other two images – I fussy cut the older girl’s dress from the Garden Green image and adhered it with Liquid Glue. The younger child’s dress I cut from the Granny Apple Green image.
I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green on Whisper White. Then, using a Stitched Rectangle Die, I cut it out – running thru twice and shifting the die on the second pass to create a smaller piece.
With a piece of Garden Green twine from the Country Club Twine Combo pack, I created a loose figure eight bow under the art panel, using Glue Dots to adhere it…
Then I placed two Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut in half) onto the card front…
…and used them to adhere the sentiment to the card front.
I added a light green gem from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone Pack – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I used Tuxedo Black to stamp the “dune” image, grasses, birds and butterflies from the Beautiful Moments set on a Whisper White panel. Then I used my Garden Green and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers to color the grasses.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a little more Tuxedo Black “beach” on the front…
…and a little more of the Country Club DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This Beautiful Moments stamp set is so pretty – and is just perfect if you enjoy Paper Piecing (like I do!!). Even without the Paper Piecing, it’s perfect for coloring with Markers, Stampin’ Blends, Watercolor Pencils….whatever your prefered medium!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
We gardened all weekend.
Meaning – we made dirt. Yes – “made” dirt.
We Square Foot Garden and make the planting medium from Coarse Vermiculite, Blended Compost and Peat Moss.
It’s a bit of a pain – but…the resulting “dirt” is…wonderful!!
The first year we did it – we poured all the ingredients onto a huge tarp and stirred it with shovels.
And stirred. Aaaaand stirred.
We’ve gotten….smarter.
Yep – engine-powered cement mixer!
Pour the goodies in….mix.
And out comes….black (ish) gold!
We filled…okay – I lost count! – barn carts with our black-ish gold.
…and then into our beds!
Ahhh – the wonderful sight of garden beds waiting for their plants to arrive!! Soon, my sweets. SOON!
We’re becoming “mold-people” here, I think! It’s rained. And rained. And…yes. Rained. For so long now….
But – make no mistake – I’ll take this (and our unseasonably warm days!) – over snow, sleet and cold-of-night anytime!
Do want to remind you…there are only TWO days left to take advantage of my Special Bundles for the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog. That’s right – after the day ends on the 17th (Friday!) – these specials are Gone with the Wind!!
Now – my card for today is easy. And also peasy! It used the lovely Beautiful Moments stamp set from the new catalog, along with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. Plus…a FREE goody – the Iris Impressions DSP. This is one you can get for free with a $50 order (before shipping and tax) while Sale-A-Bration is going on (thru 31 Mar). Take a look-see:
Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge and I know you’ll see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.
I wanted to give you guys another sneak peek at one of my favorite new stamp set bundles in the 2019 Occasions Catalog – the Wonderful Romance Bundle. And I set it atop some paper from my favorite OUTGOING paper pack – the Frosted Floral Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
I’ve got a pretty little note card for you today, that uses a new Host-Exclusive stamp set from the 2019 Occasions catalog, called Just Because. And you’ll be able to purchase it with Stampin’ Rewards starting on 3 Jan! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from this week’s FabFriday sketch challenge.
I started with some Festive Farmhouse DSP and embossed it in the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF, then matted it on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock for the card front.
I used the Leaf Punch to make some Vellum and Copper Foil Leaves, which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, I stamped the pretty image/sentiment (all one stamp!) from the Just Because Host-exclusive set (coming on 3 Jan 19) in Early Espresso Ink.
I colored the image with my Old Olive and Cajun Craze Watercolor Pencils.
I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat with Liquid Glue and popped it over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the heart, I colored a new Heart Epoxy Droplet (in the Occasions catalog – available 3 Jan) with my Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend. The bow is a simple little number made of Linen Thread – which I adhered with a dab of Liquid Glue and the card front was done!
On the inside, I inked just the flower pot portion of the Just Because stamp in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it off THREE times and then stamped it in the middle of a Very Vanilla panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Just Because flower pot on the front – stamped in Early Espresso and colored with the Watercolor Pencils…
…and I added a little more Festive Farmhouse DSP to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This Just Because Host stamp set is really wonderful, y’all! Hope you like!
Once it comes available in January, you’ll be able to pick this Host set using Stampin’ Rewards – which you’ll earn when you host a workshop that reaches $150 or if you place an individual order of $150 or more! Finn Fan Fix
Finn is a wonderful conversationalist.
Seriously. He understands everything I’m asking of him and responds appropriately.
For example: “Finn! What’s that noise?”
As opposed to: “Finn – where’s your dad?”
“Want a cookie!??”
“Need to go outside?”
See what I mean? Total intra-species communication!
Mornin’, y’all! It’s Friday. Finally. It’s been a heckuva week. I know there are still folks in FL and TX for whom Friday or Tuesday makes no never mind – and I’m awfully sorry for that. You have my continued prayers for better days – and power!! – ahead!
My card today is a quick and easy one – that’s also clean-and-simple. It uses the Count My Blessings stamp set and a few other little goodies to help out. Take a look-see:
This one played with a couple of challenges. The first is from Stamp Ink Paper and was the impetus for the clean-and-simple Fall theme.
I started out with a piece of leaf-strewn paper from the Painted Autumn DSP and covered it with a piece of Vellum card stock in the same card-front size. I used Fine-Tip Glue to adhere the Vellum – being sure to only put the glue under the middle portion of the Vellum in order to keep the glue from showing through. Then I Fast Fuse’d the panel on a Cajun Craze mat.
The sentiment, from Count My Blessings, is heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. That piece of card stock is slightly smaller than the next layer – which is another square of Very Vanilla. I used my Circles Layering Frameltis die to cut a circle from this square – then I embossed the panel in the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF. With the de-bossed side up, I popped the square over the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the same size circle die and the next larger scalloped circle die, I cut a Copper Foil frame and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a scrap of Very Vanilla, I stamped the Count My Blessings acorn image in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up. Using my Blender Pens and Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Old Olive ink pads, I colored the acorns and leaves. Then I fussy cut the image and adhered it with Liquid Glue (and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under the leaf) to the panel.
I repeated the Copper embossed image on another panel of Very Vanilla card stock, colored just the acorns, and fussy cut them. I lightly rolled the acorns around a pen to give them some dimension – and then popped them over the first image with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I tied a small bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and two lengths of Copper Metallic Thread, and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On the inside, I used the Count My Blessings acorn image again. I inked it with Crumb Cake, stamped it off once on scrap paper, and stamped it in the middle of a Very Vanilla panel.
I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
The front of my Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another stamped-off-once Crumb Cake acorn from Count My Blessings…
…and then I added more of the Painted Autumn DSP to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love how this acorn from Count My Blessings looks embossed in Copper and fussy cut. Especially against the simple embossed panel and Copper sentiment. Hope you like!

Finn-Fan Fix
We’re an America’s Got Talent household.
We don’t have any particular telent – oh, no.
We like to watch the show.
Don’t judge.
Last night, while we were watching, a dog act came on the screen.
Finn, who was, at the time, allowing me to hold his chew bone while he chewed it….stopped. Looked over his shoulder with his lips caught in his teeth.
Then he raced over to the tv.
And watched….
aaaannnnndddd….watched…..
“wonder what the judges think…..”
Finally just gave up and sat down to watch in comfort.
I was laughing so hard (behind my hand and trying to hold it in so as to not offend…) that I was absolutely in tears!
Happy Hawwmp day, y’all, from sunny/rainy/cloudy/sunny/breezy/humid/pleasant/rainy Florida. The weather has been changeable at best! Humid almost always. Much more so than I like, to be honest.
And the no-seeums are everywhere! And – I can totally see-um. So why the name? It’s kinda dumb.
My card for today is very springy-summery. And uses a lovely new Host Set – the Tranquil Tulips set. On top of that – or on the bottom, as the case my be – I used the new Marbled background stamp. I love background stamps! Take a look-see:
My layout – and the tulips – are inspired by the sketch and photo at the Fusion Challenge.
And the color scheme (even though it really works with the Fusion picture, too!) is from The Paper Players challenge.
I started by sponging Pool Party and Daffodil Delight ink onto the Marbled Background stamp using my Sponge Daubers. I didn’t do a lot of planning on where I was putting color – just kind of randomly sponged it on. Then I stamped it onto a Whisper White panel for my card front. It’s a very soft color scheme!
I SNAILd the Marbled panel to a Daffodil Delight mat.
For my art work, I cut a smaller piece of Whisper White card stock and used my Paper Trimmer to create the angled bottom.
Then I started stamping flowers! Both the tulip and the small blue flower are two-step images. I stamped the Tranquil Tulip tulip in Daffodil Delight and the smaller flower in Pool Party – both steps in the same color. The stamps themselves create the shading! I did use my Pool Party Stampin’ Write Marker to darken the small flowers a little!
I stamped the stems in Lemon-Lime Twist and called it good on the flowers!
To make the “lace” border, I used the new Decorative Ribbon Border punch to cut out a few strips of Whisper White. I snipped them to size and used Liquid Glue to adhere them on the backside of my panel. Then I popped the whole thing over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish it off, I tied a little bow from the new Lemon-Lime Twist 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot. I dithered a little about adding another embellishment of some sort, but decided to leave it clean. So, that was it for the card front.
On the inside, I added a few more Tranquil Tulip flowers in Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Lemon-Lime Twist on a Whisper White panel. And I added a sentiment from the Feather Together stamp set – stamping it in Lemon-Lime Twist.
I matted the panel on Daffodil Delight and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some more Tranquil Tulip flowers on the front…
…and a little more of the Daffodil Delight and Pool Party Marbled Background on the envelope flap. Plus a few more Pool Party flowers (I gave each of them a quick “stem” with my Lemon-Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker)!
Et Voila! I think the Marbled Background stamp, done in Daffodil Delight and Pool Party is a beautiful, soft base for the pretty Tranquil Tulips, don’t you? Hope you like!

Finn-Fan Fix…on a break for a minute. We’ll be back in August – or if Wayne sends me some pictures and stories!!
Happy Monday, everyone! Hope your weekend was most excellent! Ours was – we ended up going to dinner with our friends for Mother’s Day yesterday. Very enjoyable – but…we still have not seen Guardians! I’m going to take a day of vacation this week and we are going to see it. I am afraid the number of movies needing IMAX/3-D is high and if we wait too much longer… 🙂
So last night I did a video on today’s card – if you were able to join me – thanks so much. If not, and you’d like to see it – here it is on YouTube!
For those of you who want to see the directions and card cuts – this is the post you’re looking for!
This card uses a fun basket-weave fold that I saw a tutorial video for, done by Kelly Atcheson, over on Splitcoast Stampers. I combined that fold with the new Colorful Seasons stamp set and the bundled Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Here’s what I came up with. Take a look-see:
Now the layout for this card is courtesy of the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
And my color scheme hails from the Fab Friday color challenge.
I started by printing out the basket weave template that Kelly provided. Here it is for you! Print it out – make sure it’s printed on a “regular” piece of printer paper.
Then I cut out one of the templates and secured it to my Dapper Denim card base. That’s a piece of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card stock, scored and folded (and burnished a little) at 4 1/4″. I used a couple of paper clips to secure my template to the card base. Next, I just used my snips to cut the lines on the template, making sure to go all the way to the ends of each line.
To make the basket weave, take a look at the video to see how it’s done. It’s crazy easy – but it’s a lot easier to see in a video than in words or photos!
Go ahead.
I’ll wait.
Okay – you back? Got the hang of the basket weave?
Great – we’ll drive on!
My card front begins with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, SNAILd to a Calypso Coral mat. To make my leaves, I pulled out a piece of scrap Water Color Paper (I used Canson 90lb Cold-Press) and then sponged it in Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry and Dapper Denim. I made large swipes of each color, and let them overlap a bit. Then I cut the three leaves with the beautiful, intricate leaf die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
I adhered the leaves to my card front with Liquid Glue.
The sentiment, from the Colorful Seasons stamp set (which will be bundled with the Seasonal Layers in the new catalog for a 10% savings!), I stamped in Rich Razzleberry on a strip of Very Vanilla, then matted it on Calypso Coral. I popped the sentiment over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!
On the inside, I used the leaf image in the Colorful Seasons set and inked the stamp with my Sponge Daubers in Calypso Coral, Dapper Denim and Rich Razzleberry and stamped the leaf on a Very Vanilla panel.
How cool does that basket weave look when you open the card?!? I SNAILd my panel to a Calypso Coral mat and then into the card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a repeat of the Colorful Seasons leaf on the front…
…and on the envelope flap,
Et Voila! Don’t be afeared of the basket weave, y’all! It’s really simple when you see it broken down (so please watch my video!!). Like the first time you try to make a lattice top on a pie. Looks too complicated for words, but then you see the “trick” and…yep. Voila! I love love love this leaf stamp and die in the Colorful Seasons bundle – it was the first thing that caught my eye when I saw it. When added to all the other stamp images and dies…well, I know this is going to be one of my favorites! I hope you like it, too – and are adding it to your wish list! 🙂

Finn-Fan Fix…
You know, this silly goofy little dog that we invited into our lives…he gives us so much joy.
And aggravation!
And laughter!
Really more joy and laughter than aggravation, to be sure!
This morning, before I was really “up”, he came into the bedroom for his usual “second sleep” (the one after he goes out first thing and before we go feed).
I happened to look down and saw….
That’s the end of his collar – he has a new one and it’s very very long. He had ahold of it – and was sound asleep.
Mornin’, y’all! And for all y’all who are Mothers…Happy Mother’s Day! Enjoy your day!!
I’m bringing you a Sneak Peek of the card I plan to share with you tonight on Facebook. It includes a Fun Fold…and a beautiful die cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Take a sneak-look-see:
I hope you’ll join me tonight at 8pm Eastern – right here on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page. You’ll get to see how to make the card in the video and then I’ll share the full “recipe” on Monday!
So…some admin-y things.
Catalog shares are still open – Slots are filling up fast so hurry and get your name on my list before I run out of space. It’s an awesome opportunity to try a little taste of everything! Like…one piece of candy from every candy jar in the shop!!
Are you a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber? No? Well – this is a great time to give it a shot. New subscribers can get 25% off their first three months!
Finally – Eastern Palace! The special bundles are only available for a few more weeks – once the catalog goes live, those super-duper bundles will be gone! Don’t miss out – they’re a great value-added way to get all the goodies. And you can get them right now!
Okay. That’s it. Get the details on these three specials down below. And….hope to see you tonight!! 🙂

Finn-Fan Fix…
The past couple of days, when it’s been pretty hot, Finn has been availing himself of the golf cart – even in the morning.
It’s not unheard of for us to make an entire round with him riding next to me.
Guess he figures the golf cart needs some exercise?? 🙂
Don’t get me wrong.
He’s not slacking off.
He’s got an eye peeled for squirrels, bunnies, bugs, ducks, airplanes, deer (oh, please let there be a deer, Mom!!!), sticks, rocks, chipmunks, butterflies, bees, frogs, snakes, Dad, ponies….you name it. He’s watching with his eagle eyes.
