Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Celebrate Spring! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
For me – Spring starts when the garden/seed catalogs start to arrive. But…when I start to see my Lavender begin to blush purple and blue…THEN we know things are going to warm up! So, it was an easy decision to celebrate Spring with the Painted Lavender bundle and stunning Perennial Lavender DSP! Since Painted Lavender is an image-only set, I called on the coordinating Perennial Postagestamp set for my sentiments. Take a look-see:
Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
When I saw the color challenge – I right away thought of the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ DSP. And, of course, the coordinating Dressed to Impress stamp set and bundled All Dressed Up Die set. I ended up not using as much of the DSP as I’d figured, but…well. Take a look-see:
And – here’s our challenge!
The layout and elements are inspired by Charlet Mallett’s beautiful card at this week’s Global Design Project CASE the Designer challenge!
I started with a piece of Basic Black that I embossed in my Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Petal Pink for the card front.
Also from Petal Pink, I cut a single “purse” with the die from the All Dressed Up Die set. With Paper Snips, I trimmed off all but the large panel. Then I embossed the die cut piece in the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.
With the buckle die in the All Dressed Up Die Set I cut a couple of buckles from a Gold Foil sheet. I ran the end of some Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon thru each buckle – and then adhered them to the front of my purse with Glue Dots.
Then I popped the purse onto the embossed card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To get ready to decorate the purse, I cut two Frosted Bouquet “berries” out of Mint Macaron card stock.
On Whisper White, I stamped a bunch of the two different floral images from Dressed To Impress in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored them with my Petal Pink, Lovely Lipstick and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blend Combo Packs – and cut them with their matching All Dressed Up dies.
I also stamped the sentiment from Dressed To Impress in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White and cut it with the label die in the set.
To assemble the purse, I first adhered a Petal Pink Best Dressed Tassel on one buckle with a Glue Dot. Then I started adhering the berries and flowers with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is popped on with Dimensionals.
I finished off the card front with Champagne Rhinestones in the middle of each flower – and a small bow from Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon, adhered with a Glue Dot.
On the inside, I added more Dressed To Impress flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel. Around the flowers, I stamped some dots from the set in Mint Macaron. Finally, I colored the flowers with my Blends and gave them a Champagne Rhinestone.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Lovely Lipstick card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Dressed To Impress flowers and dots on the front (no Rhinestones!)….
….and (finally!) some of the gorgeous Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et voila! What a fun and flirty purse for Mother’s Day – and still a “card”! Love the Dressed To Impress stamp set and the versatility of the bundled all Dressed Up Dies!
And – of course! – the uber-gorgeous Best Dressed DSP! I hope you like – and will have it in your arsenal soon if you don’t already!

I’ve got a really pretty card for you today (she says with blushing modesty…..) that is just perfect for Mother’s Day! It uses two great bundles in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog…the Timeless Tulips and Birthday Jubilee bundles. They go together perfectly! Take a look-see:
And the soft color scheme is from the Sunday Stamps color challenge.
I started with a piece of Very Vanilla that I embossed in the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Petal Pink for the card front.
Then I cut two of the detailed die cut panels in the Jubilee Beauty Die Set from Very Vanilla and I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue. (It’s the middle die on the magnet in the picture below!) I adhered the panels closer to the bottom of the card front so that there was about an inch “gap” at the top of the card front.
I used Glue Dots to wrap and secure a piece of Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the panel – over the “seam” between the two panels.
For the bouquet, I stamped the large tulip in the Timeless Tulips stamp set on Very Vanilla – twice in Petal Pink, once in Terracotta Tile, once in stamped-off-once Terracotta Tile and once in stamped-off-once Cherry Cobbler. So….five flowers. I punched them all out with the Tulip Builder Punch (bundled with the stamp set for a 10% savings!).
I also stamped five stems in Pool Party on Very Vanilla and fussy cut them.
I laid out the flowers and stems and then got busy sticking them down! The bottom three flowers are adhered with Liquid Glue and then I popped the final two on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the stems in place. You can see that I left the bottom parts of the stems sort of sticking up….
The sentiment, from the Timeless Tulips set, is stamped in Terracotta Tile on Very Vanilla. I cut it with a Rectangle Stitched Die – modifying it to make it a little smaller. I showed y’all how to do that on my video a couple of days ago….here!
I tied a big-ish loose bow with the Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edged Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
Then I popped my sentiment over the top of the bow with double-stack Dimensionals. Finally, a few Champagne Rhinestone Jewels finished off the card front.
On the inside, I added a perfect sentiment from the Birthday Jubilee stamp set in Terracotta Tile on a Very Vanilla panel. I added a few tulips in Terracotta Tile and Petal Pink, with Pool Party stems and leaves. Then I added a few more of the Champagne Rhinestone Jewels. Cuz I love them so much! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Terracotta Tile card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more tulips on the front…
…and a single Petal Pink tulip on the back of the envelope!
Et Voila! I love this color palette – especially in Timeless Tulips!
The Jubilee Beauty Dies create gorgeous texture on your projects – especially pretty in tone-on-tone Vanilla! I hope you like!
If you’d like to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below as well as the card cuts!

Good morning, y’all! Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you’ve got plans to celebrate or BE celebrated today! Wish I was closer to MY mom today!
My card is a Mother’s Day card (talk about outside the box) using a retiring Host Exclusive stamp set called Just Because – that I paired up with some new Woven Threads DSP and a fun textures image from the new Woven Heirlooms stamp set (the Woven Threads suite will be available on 4 Jun to customers!). Take a look-see:
Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s Hop is a color challenge and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.
I played with one of our wonderful Host-Exclusive stamp sets from the 2019 Occasions catalog – to make a card for Mother’s Day. Just Because has perfect sentiments for the occasion – take a look-see:
Oxymoron aside – I do hope you’ve got an easy week ahead of you!
If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me! If not, but would like to watch the replay, here it is on YouTube!
Morning! Hope you’re SO not even up yet when this posts – or, if you are, you’ve snuggled back in with that first cuppa! I mean – it’s Sunday! Chillax!
Since it’s Sunday – and I’m home – we’ll be doing our normal FB live video tonight at 8pm eastern on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page! This one will be a Mother’s Day card – using the Tea Together stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. Take a sneaky peek!
Happy happy Hawwwwwmmmmp Day!! I hope wherever you are you are warm. And that this ridiculous cold is getting ready to get gone. Cuz…no. That’s no bueno!
My card for today uses the Tea Together stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, paired with the Tea Time Framelits in the 2019 Sale-A-Bration Catalog. THAT one is something you can get for FREE right now with a $100 purchase (before shipping and tax). Take a look-see:
Mornin’, y’all! Having a good weekend?? I hope so. We did some mowing yesterday – I rode the small zero-turn mower and Wayne worked the skid steer mower. Everything looks so pretty when it’s all mowed and fresh looking. And it smells so good!
We’re headed to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol II today – I’ve heard great things about it already! I’m even going to splurge and have popcorn! 🙂
So – tonight, on my Facebook Live video, we’re going to do two things. First I’m going to spend a few minutes talking about the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and showing you how to use it. Had a request, so that’s what we’re going to do! Then, I’ll walk you thru a very pretty, springy Mother’s Day card using my favorite new Suite – the Delightful Daisy Suite! Here’s a teaser…
Yep – you see a little peek of an Eastern Medallion! Fun, huh?
You’ll see that I played with two challenges on this one. The first inspired the layout and my choice of DSP. That one’s the Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge.
And the Mother’s Day theme is from the Just Us Girls Word Week challenge.
So – hope you can join me tonight – right here – at 8pm Eastern!

Finn-Fan Fix…
Did you guys watch the Derby yesterday?
I’ve vowed to boycott it, but every year we end up watching.
I’m married to a former jockey, so…interest is high.
This is how we watch the Derby here. He’s usually exhorting one or the other jocks to push, “quit whoopin’ on him and ride”, go around, better get movin’ or some other sage advice.
He also can usually pick the winner before they’re half way down the back stretch.
It’s actually a pretty fun way to watch the race!
Finn cared not one whit.
He was more interested in me stuffing his treat ball with freeze dried liver chunks.
Seriously – I thought he was going to fall over he was tilting his head so far!! I think he was counting how many I was stuffing in there.
Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you’ve been following along, you’ll know this is a color challenge week – I hope you’ll take a few minutes to browse all the projects brought to you by the talented ladies in our hop group! 🙂
Here’s our color scheme – definitely one that’s in my wheelhouse!
I used the Succulent Garden Suite of goodies to make my card – the Succulent Garden DSP, Oh So Succulent stamp set and the Succulents Framelits. I know it’s kind of an obvious choice with these colors – maybe too obvious – but….it’s obvious for a reason, okay?? 🙂 Take a look-see:
I used the Mojo Monday sketch challenge to help with my card layout.
To begin, I matted three different designs from the Succulent Garden DSP on Old Olive card stock, then I SNAILd the smaller panels to the card front.
Then I made a sentiment panel – stamping the Oh So Succulent sentiment in Old Olive on Whisper White. The sentiment image was too long for what I was doing, so I inked the first part only, stamped it, cleaned the stamp, inked the second half – and stamped it under the first image.
I matted it on Old Olive and SNAILd it in place.
Using a piece of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon, I ran a length across the card, securing it in the back with scotch tape. I used a second piece and pulled all the strands out, wrapped them around the ribbon on the card, and tied a tight knot.
Next, I added the Lace Doily with the Whisper White Side up.
All that remained was to build my succulent flower! I cut two of each of the three sizes of flowers – one each in Old Olive and Mint Macaron. Then I used the little “end” stamps in the Oh So Succulent stamp set and stamped the little tips in Whisper White Craft Ink. I used my Bone Folder to lightly curl all the tips of the flowers and then stacked them up with Liquid Glue.
The center is a few Mint Macaron flowers – the ones that look a little like daisies – adhered with Liquid Glue.
Wait a hot second!! What’s that in the middle?
That, my friends, is a little flower cut with the new (available-to-customers on 21 Feb) Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Paper! That paper will come in Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum!
I cut that Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper flower and added it in with a little more Liquid Glue, adhered the flower to the card front with Liquid Glue – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Oh So Succulent sentiment in Old Olive on a Whisper White panel. In the bottom corner, I added a couple of succulent flowers. I stamped the middle flower first, using Old Olive for the outline and Mint Macaron for the fill image. Then I stuck a sticky note mask (that I’d remembered to save from the last time I used this set!), and added two smaller flowers. Those are stamped in Tip Top Taupe for the outline and stamped-off-once Tip Top Taupe for the fill.
I SNAILd the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Tip Top Taupe card base, SNAILd the card front on, and the card was done!
I added the same three Oh So Succulent flowers to the front of my Whisper White Envelope…
…and gave the envelope flap a little more of the Succulent Garden DSP.
Et Voila! An organic and earthy card, made with one of my favorite suites in the Occasions catalog – the Succulent Garden! Hope you like!
