Stampin’ Up! Mother’s Day Tea Time Together – and a Blog Candy Winner!

Happy happy Hawwwwwmmmmp Day!!  I hope wherever you are you are warm.  And that this ridiculous cold is getting ready to get gone.  Cuz…no.  That’s no bueno!

My card for today uses the Tea Together stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, paired with the Tea Time Framelits in the 2019 Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  THAT one is something you can get for FREE right now with a $100 purchase (before shipping and tax).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from The Paper Players this week.

And the colors hail from the Sunday Stamps challenge.

I started with a panel of Whisper White that I embossed in the Lace Dynamic TIEF and matted on Flirty Flamingo for the card front.

To make the art, I stamped the big tea pot from the Tea Together stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White.  Using my Stamparatus and some sticky-note masks, I stamped the small rose image from Tea Together in Tuxedo Black across the tea pot.  Then I cut it out with the matching die from the Tea Time Framelits.

I colored the flowers with my Light and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends – and the Dark Soft Sea Foam Blend for the leaves and stems.  Then I used a Blender Pen and ink from the lid of my Flirty Flamingo ink pad to create “shadows” around the flowers.

I pulled out the new Doily Builder Thinlits and cut a Whisper White doily.  And I cut a piece of Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ DSP with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits die.

I adhered the Garden Impressions panel directly to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Next up is the tea pot – I used Liquid Glue, with a couple of pieces of Stampin’ Dimensional under the handle to support it.

With Glue Dots, I adhered a length of Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon across the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from Tea Together in Melon Mambo ink, cut it out with the oval die from the Wonderful Floral Framelits and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish off, I stamped more flowers from Tea Together in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White.  I cut them with their matching dies in the Tea Time Framelits.  Then I colored them with Light and Dark Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends, plus the Dark Soft Sea Foam for the stems.

I adhered the rose buds to the sentiment with Liquid Glue and popped the large flower on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I added a Share What You Love Artisan Pearl and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Tea Together in Melon Mambo, plus a couple more roses in the corner of a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Melon Mambo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Tea Together rose buds on the front…

…and more Garden Impressions DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  You guys – the Tea Together stamp set is so pretty – and just perfect for Mother’s Day!  And the matching Tea Time Framelits makes it super quick and easy to get those beautiful images all cut out and ready to use!  I hope you like!

AND – we’ve already been told that the Tea Time Framelits will CARRYOVER into the Annual Catalog!  Whoo-hoo!  So…that means…get them NOW as a FREE Sale-A-Bration goody (with a $100 purchase – before shipping/tax) and you will NOT have to pay to get them from the Annual Catalog!  Cuz…we ALL know that FREE is better!

Stampin’ Up! posted this update this morning.

We’ve been notified by the manufacturer of our 1/8″ Circle Punch (item 134365) that they will no longer be able to produce this item. As a result, this item will no longer be available for purchase after June 3, 2019, or once our inventory is depleted—whichever happens first.

Finn Fan Fix

I have not had a dog in…ever?…that played with toys.

I mean….PLAYED with toys.

Finn is my first.  He’s got his dog bed in the living room that has all the toys I’ve bought him – my mom has bought him – our friends have bought him.

And he randomly goes to pick one out and bring it to one of us.  Or to just lay down in the middle of the floor and lovingly gnaw on it!

His current fave…

I think it’s a bear in a reindeer suit…

I am mystified that it’s still intact…

  1. What a pretty card! I love the flowers on your tea pot, perfectly colored! I’m amazed that toy is still intact too! Ginny destroys anything plush so we’ve given up on those completely. His little reindeer must be pretty indestructible! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

I know! When we opened his Christmas gift and that was in there – I wondered. Cuz my friend has his sister, Scout. So…I figured it was a “disposable-gonna-be-destroyed” gift. But…nope. Not yet, at least! Thanks much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Kate

I think this card is beautimous!!! And that the teapot might be a good thing for Red Hat invitations…hmmm.
I don’t know…not destroying a soft toy kust be some function of that “herd, don’t hurt” instinct/training. Have had some bone chewers, but can’t recall a player…except maybe a bit of fetch. And SuYin was better even at that. And would instigate it. Go figure.
    Keep your woolies on!

    • stampsnlingers

Maybe. I sure know he’s managed to keep it intact! We will. 🙂

  3. Elisha Smith

Super pretty card – love your layers and coloring! As I type it is a whopping -7* with a wind chill of -33* – ugh! I bet the reindeer/bear lives in constant fear that today will be the day!😫😂🤣

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – I suspect his lifetime is limited. And – you’re welcome to that cold, Elisha. On a brighter note – shivering will help you burn off your yummy Buckeyes!! 🙂

      • Elisha Smith

Lol! No buckeyes till next fall – I only make them for football and Christmas seasons 😉. I’m actually escaping the cold – heading to Florida for a whole month! Glad I bought the tote – I packed it full of stampin stuff – I’ll wave your way when we go through Georgia tomorrow 😆

      • stampsnlingers

Whoo-hoo for escaping the cold! And glad that you’re using your tote – I’m planning to use mine when I head to Baltimore in a couple of weeks! Have a safe trip, my friend! 🙂
