Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring Hope for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! It’s sketch week and we’ve got the full complement of hoppers today!  Do be sure to check out all their projects when you’re done here, won’t you?

I decided it was time for an Easter card – so, I combined the wonderful Cross of Hope Framelits with the gorgeous You’re Inspiring daffodils – and added some Springtime Foils DSP!  Take a look-see:

Here’s the sketch we were playing with.

And, I borrowed some colors and elements from this week’s Card Concept challenge.

I started by Fast Fusing a piece of the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP onto a Daffodil Delight mat.  Folks – you’ve got like…3 days left to get you some of this gorgeous paper!  When Sale-A-Bration ends on Saturday night – this paper will be gone, baby, gone!  The next layer is a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock – embossed in the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF (free for a few more days….), matted on Daffodil Delight and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I adhered a narrow strip of the Springtime Foils DSP to the embossed panel and got to the fun part!

I cut a circle of Whisper White with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die and, using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it right where I wanted it – stamped the You’re Inspiring daffodils in Basic Gray Archival Ink.  I colored the flowers with my So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker and shaded it with the Daffodil Delight Marker.  I added a little Pumpkin Pie to the flower centers.  The leaves are Pear Pizzazz, shaded with Old Olive.

I inked the little spots image from You’re Inspiring in Bermuda Bay, stamped it off once on scrap paper, then stamped it around the flower a few times.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the circle to a Daffodil Delight scalloped circle, cut with a Circles Layering Framelits die.

I took some pretty vellum die cuts from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit and colored them.  I did that with Stampin’ Write Markers – Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay – and coloring on the back of the images.

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.

I put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of my matted circle and used them to wind lengths of Silver Metallic Thread and Linen Thread around in several loops – and popped the whole thing over the vellum leaves.

The Cross – cut with the intricate die in the Cross of Hope Framelits set – is done with Silver Foil.  I cut a solid Cross in Bermuda Bay and adhered it with Liquid Glue.  Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals – I popped the Cross over the daffodils.

The sentiment is cut from Silver Foil and Daffodil Delight card stock using the Celebrate You Thinlits (yep – FREE for a few more day!).  I stacked the Foil die cut on top of two Daffodil Delight die cuts with Liquid Glue and then adhered the stack to the card front.  A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels finished it off!

On the inside, I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp the sentiment from You’re Inspiring in Bermuda Bay on a Whisper White panel.  Over that, in stamped-off-once Smoky Slate ink, I stamped the daffodil image again.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Bermuda Bay card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added the You’re Inspiring daffodils in Basic Gray Archival Ink and colored them just like I’d colored the flowers on the front of the card…

…and then added more of the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I just love everything about the You’re Inspiring stamp set, don’t you?  The images and sentiments are just gorgeous!  And – the Cross of Hope Framelits.  Wonderful.  Just elegant and wonderful!  Hope you like!
