Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip 2023 – Olden, Norway!

Good morning and Happy Saturday! I can’t believe this is our last full day on the cruise. 😔 As always happens – time has flown by! Just about 36 more hours and we’ll be home!

On Thursday, we were in Olden, Norway – and it was a lovely, lovely place! Very green – with snow-capped mountains encircling the charming town!

It’s always interesting to see things that I associate with “home”… 🤷‍♀️

Once again, we didn’t have anything really “planned” so we layered up – including rain jackets! – and just headed out for a walk.

We discovered there was a pretty path to follow – the sign we stopped at said it was a goat trail – and there was, indeed, oflactory evidence to support that!

At the top – we were able to view the entire valley!

There were two really pretty churches in town…

…and a sign that I for sure think is true!

On the way back to the ship – which we could see from everywhere! – we crossed a pretty stream flowing down into the fjord. Couldn’t see any fish but..I think they were there!

We departed Olden in the afternoon and as we pushed out – we heard music! I stepped onto the baloney and – the music was coming from the little welcome center at the edge of the pier…

There were people on the porch waving flags and cheering. They were sending us off in style!

A little further down – there was a couple waving from their home…

It was really very cool!

Thursday evening we went to a show in the Studio270 at the back of the ship. The North Atlantic was being…mischievious! (we ran into the Captain at the coffee shop on Friday morning and that was his word for it! 😂😂) … and it was a-rockin’ and a-rolling back there. I do NOT know how those dancers danced – we could hardly walk out of the theater! It was lots quieter a-mid ship in our cabin and we slept like babies!

And…woke up in Stavanger! Which…you’ll get to see tomorrow as we disembark and head home! 🙂

– You’ll earn DOUBLE PEPPERMINTS on your Host Club Orders.
