Stampin’ Up! Window Wishes CAS Christmas Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday!!  As you read this, I’ll be flying around the house – getting the car packed – waiting to hear that Amy and Karen’s plane left New Jersey on time (🤞🤞🤞) and getting the house tidied up for Miss Sonya!  I THINK I’ll be ready to go when it’s time – the good news is that the retreat is only a couple hours from here – so, we’ll hang at the house for a while (word on the street is that Aunty Karen ALWAYS travels with dog treats!😎😎😎 – so Finny is ALSO excited!) – then figure some lunch and head out!  IT’S HERE!! 🙂

In the meantime – I’ve got a Clean-and-Simple Christmas card for you today from the Window Wishes stamp set with its bundled Window Dies.  Take a look-see!

I know.  The CAS aliens came and tried to abduct me again.  I DID fight back (see the Adhesive-Backed Stars?!?).

The REAL REASON I did a CAS card is cuz of the Paper Players challenge this week! 😉

I started by stamping the car image from the Window Wishes stamp set in Evening Evergreen on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I stamped the little wheels in Basic Gray ink.

Next, I added some “snow” in Smoky Slate ink using the line images from Window Wishes.

I stamped a simple sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I stamped the trees images – there are two in the set – in Shaded Spruce.  One has two trees and one has a single tree.  I stamped the single tree image on its side on the top of the car.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the trees again in Shaded Spruce.  Then I used the bare-branch tree image from Window Wishes to stamp randomly over the trees in Evening Evergreen.

Using the dies in the bundled Window Die set, I cut out the trees.  Then I snipped off the little trunks – and trimmed the white borders from all the trees.

Then I popped each of them over one of the stamped trees on the card front with small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the Adhesive-backed Stars and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Window Wishes in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel.  In the corner I added more Smoky Slate “snow” and some Shaded Spruce trees.  I even went crazy and adhered some Adhesive-backed Stars.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Window Wishes snow and trees on the front – and I even stamped some “falling snow” in Smoky Slate…

…and a little Shaded Spruce paper from the Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Window Wishes stamp set has some really fun images and sentiments in it and the coordinating bundled Window Dies cut out many of the images – plus a few extras (I haven’t even sort of tapped into all the die cutting possibilities here!)!  Think of the scenes you could make!  But…it ALSO has a clean-and-simple side that really works, don’t you think??
