Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery and Heal Your Heart Sneak Peek Sympathy Card

Happy Tuesday, y’all!  Hope your week is going well.

PSA:  If you haven’t figured out what you’re doing for Thanksgiving…now might be a good time!  It’s just over a week away!

So – my card today is one I most fervently wish I didn’t need.  But – I am grateful for a couple new goodies that you’ll be able to get on 5 Jan (or…1 Dec if you decided to join my team!).  The first is the gorgeous new Art Gallery Bundle with the coordinating Fine Art Floral DSP.  The second was free!  Yes – FREE!  It’s part of the Sale-A-Bration offerings coming in January – and I got it free with a $50 purchase (and you’ll be able to do the same!).  It’s called Heal Your Heart and it is….perfect.  So…here’s a look-see!

The layout for this one is from the TGIF Challenge this week!

I started with a piece of the gorgeous new Fine Art Floral DSP that I matted on Night of Navy for the card front.  This paper looks like oil painting on canvas – with stunning florals on one side and and “plain” colored “canvases” on the other!

Next, I cut a smaller piece of new Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate and popped it up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I placed them under the area I knew would be covered with the solid oval in the design.

This specialty paper is gorgeous  – gold foil designs on acetate – you’ll get three 12″ x 12″ sheets!

For the sentiment, I first cut three of the “Just” word with the sentiment die in the new Floral Gallery Dies from Night of Navy cardstock.  The four words are all “separate” – so it’s easy to customize your sentiments!

I stacked the three die cuts with Liquid Glue.  And yes – I could have used Foam Adhesive Sheets – and WOULD have if I wasn’t out of it! 🤦‍♀️

On a strip of Whisper White, I stamped part of the sentiment from the Art Gallery set – it’s photopolymer, so that’s pretty easy – in Night of Navy ink.  Then I snipped the end – and adhered the die cut sentiment to the top of the strip with Liquid Glue.

The oval is cut from Terracotta Tile cardstock using the largest oval Stitched Shapes die. Then I ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the new Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

I looped some of the new Mossy Meadow 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim (from the Dandy Garden Suite) a couple times, twisted it into a Figure-8 and adhered it to the acetate with a Glue Dot.  Then I popped the embossed oval over top.

I adhered my sentiment to the oval with Liquid Glue and added a few gold Metallic Pearls – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Heal Your Heart in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel.  Check out these sentiments in this FREE stamp set (coming on 5 Jan).

In the corner, I stamped the larger two-step flower image from the Art Gallery stamp set in Flirty Flamingo.  Then I added the second image in Terracotta Tile.  I added a single gold Metallic Pearl, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Terracotta Tile card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Art Gallery flower in Flirty Flamingo and Terracotta Tile on the front…

…and more Fine Art Floral DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think the Art Gallery stamp set with its bundled Floral Gallery Dies is going to be a heavy favorite when this catalog goes live!  And certainly the stunning oil-paint-look of the Fine Art Floral DSP is going to be a star of the Suite!  We never want to need sympathy cards, but they’re a fact of life – so…be looking to add the Heal Your Heart set to your tool kit when it goes live on 5 Jan in the Sale-A-Bration flyer – you’ll be able to get it for FREE! 😉  I hope you like!

If you want to recreate this card – the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below along with the card cuts!

I’ve got openings in my Online Host Club starting on 1 Dec – and new little bonus for my Customers – which will ALSO be one of the new benefits of being in an Online Host Club!  Whoo-hoo!

What is an Online Host Club?  Glad you asked!

An Online Host Club lets you get some of the benefits of being a host – without doing any of the WORK of being a host!  And – it helps you build your crafting tool chest a little at a time.  While earning FREE goodies!

A club consists of three folks doing two consecutive three-month terms.   Each person commits to buying $50 before shipping and tax each month.

Here’s how it shakes out…this is just an example!  As you can see, each member gets to host TWICE during the six months!!

At the end of the club, I let each member select a stamp set up to $25 that I send to them for free.

What are the other bennies of a Host Club?

  • At least a $150.00 Workshop order during EACH of your host months!
  • Which means you’ll have at least $15.00 of Stampin’ Rewards dollars to spend on the exclusive Host Stamp Sets, or any other current Stampin’ Up! product during your host months.  Stampin’ Rewards are Stampin’ Up!-speak for “free money”!
  • You’ll earn DOUBLE PEPPERMINTS on your Host Club Orders.  Each $50 order earns 4 reward points, a $75 order earns you 6 reward points, etc. You’ll earn at least 24 reward points during your membership, meaning you’ll automatically earn at least ONE $40 Peppermint rewards gift!  (Remember – when you gather up 16 Peppermints, you get to select a free reward gift valued up to $40!).  You can get more info about my Punkin’ Heads Customer Rewards Program right here.
  • You’ll receive a FREE monthly tutorial with 4-5 projects and access to all previous tutorials for the duration of the club. Right now, there are over FIFTY tutorials available only to Online Host Club members.  That’s around TWO HUNDRED FIFTY not-seen-on-our-blogs projects for you to use as inspiration (and they ALL have all the card cuts and instructions!)
  • Access to my Weekly Zoom The Craftroom online Zoom Party – where you can come craft and chat with me and other customers! YEP – THIS IS NEW!!
  • FREE catalogs during your membership term
  • FREE shipping in your TWO Host Months
  • A FREE STAMP SET of your choice valued up to $25 at the end of each “term”, any current set (excluding host sets)!
  • At the end of the full 6 months, you’ll get first dibs at signing up for the next 6 month term!

When you join the club – you’ll commit to the full six months – in two consecutive three-month increments.   This is a great time to join a club – with the pending release of the 2021 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog and SALE-A-BRATION fixin’ to start in January, too!

Don’t delay – there are limited spaces available!

If you want to join us or if you have ANY questions about how it would work…please drop me a note at stamps-n-lingers@comcast.net!

Now – the new Customer Bonus!

So – I’m setting up a “ZOOM The Craftroom” time with me every week!  Every Wednesday, I’ll be in my craft room doing…something!… and you can pop in and we’ll craft together and chat or…whatever!  Very casual – no makeup required (I for sure won’t have any on!).  It’s a great time to ask questions or get help with problems or issues you’re having!  Or…we can just work on our projects together and yak.

Like the Ordering Gifts – you’ll receive the Zoom meeting link when you place an order of $50 or greater (before shipping and tax)!  There’ll be a new link every month.  All you do is download Zoom and then you can click on the link at the start of the Office Hours and you’ll be in!  No account needed.  🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Okay, y’all – one more FFF with no Finn – this will be my last post about the wedding!  But…it was too good not to share!

So – Hurricane Eta left her mark on the beach wedding site.  But the day dawned bright and clear (if a little breezy!) so…we got ready to go in our wedding finery! Our friend Norm – me – Ed (FOG) – Jan (MOG) – and our friend Kim (Norm’s wife)!

Once we got to the venue – we saw the…water obstacle…between us and the actual ceremony site.

We got across and then….the groom and groomsmen came across the same way.  Pants legs UP!  Here’s Chris!

With the guys in place, Chris and Matt (look how handsome these two men are!!) watched as Courtney and her Dad John (with help from step-mom Casey) appeared at the top of the stairs…

…and then made their way across, too!

Finally made it….

Isn’t she gorgeous?  Her dress had a pink under-skirt which gave it a very pretty subtle blush.  Dare I say…Blushing Bride?

Yes – I dared! 😉

Anywho….the wedding was lovely and the setting beautiful!

This is one of my favorite pictures – absolute happiness!!

Pictures were taken after the ceremony.  Lotsa handsome and pretty here!

Then I did a photo with them (thanks, guys – I appreciate being included!).

It was really windy – don’t judge the hair! 😉

Once all the photos were done and the beach cleared….the best moment of the whole day came.

Tell me that’s not silly-romantic, ladies??

He’s a keeper, Courtney (which we all knew long before this moment – but…it sure cemented it!).

What a story for the kids and grandkids, huh?

So – both of the kids (who are not kids anymore, for sure, but will probably always be that for us!) are married and starting the next chapter of their lives.

So proud of the young men they’ve been – are now – and will continue to be!

First, I have to say, yes, Chris wins the day. Handsome and gallant! Love all the pics—their flowers are beautiful…love that they did them themselves!
Your card (oh yeah, you did share one! 😉) is pretty too…but he carried her across the water!

    • stampsnlingers

I know! It was simply…beyond wonderful to see. What an amazing young man he is! Thank you so much, Susan! 🙂

  2. What a pretty card! Love the layering and the colors. Sweet pictures and video from the wedding too! 🙂

  3. Love your card, love the pics.

  4. Your card is just gorgeous Mary! I love how you stacked the acetate in front of that beautiful designer series paper. There are so many fun details on this card. It’s just beautiful! Thanks for joining our sketch challenge this week at TGIF Challenges.

  5. Faith Simpson

Oh Mary, truly gorgeous card….and I’m always sorry to need such a one. Seems like sorrow calls for utmost beauty, so there’s that. This new suite is wonderful.
So glad you shared wedding pictures. wow…Very lovely…..I love her dress with the blushing bride peeking thru. I’ve spent time this week ordering pictures from my granddaughter’s wedding: hard to choose just a few.

I am so excited to see what the photographer came up with! It was such a stunning setting! Thanks so much, Faith – and good luck with the photo-picking! 🙂

What a lovely wedding……..everyone dealt with the water obstacle really well. Were NO SHOES part of the original wedding attire from the beginning or was that an “add-on”? What a beautiful dress…..that pink underskirt was very attractive. I’ve never seen a dress like that…..lovely.
Oh, by the way……..a nice design for your card too!! I don’t like to make those type of cards also, but this has been a tough 2020 & hope we can have a safe 2021!

    • stampsnlingers

Well – I think no-shoes was maybe NOT the plan – but Eta forced a change! LOL. That dress was just…gorgeous! Thank you, Karen! And – I’m pretty much ready for 2020 to be done, for sure! 🙂
