Good morning and Happy Happy HAWWWWMP DAY! Hope your week is going well – I’m in post away-from-home try-to-get-in-the-swing-of-things mode! FINALLY got back on the treadmill on Tuesday. Bleh – but…have I mentioned that I really like wearing clothes straight off the rack (from JJill if possible – like…when it’s on sale!!) and knowing with very little doubt that a medium will fit?? ROFL!
So…back to the careful-of-every-bite regime and….the dreadmill.
My card today is a clean and simple one that is quick to make for Christmas! I used the sweet little Tree Angle stamp set – one of the flyover sets in the current mini catalog. It coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Dies (part of The Right Triangle bundle in the Annual Catalog) – which is handy! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the CAS(E) This Sketch this week.
And the color palette is from The Spot color challenge.
I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Tree Angle at the bottom in Real Red. Then I matted it on Mossy Meadow for the card front.
On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped some trees. All of the trees – except one of the smallest ones – was stamped in Pear Pizzazz. That lone tree was stamped in Mossy Meadow.
On the more….squatty?…tree (the isosceles triangle, if you’re interested in my mad math skills!)…I added the Tree Angle poinsettia image in Real Red and the leaves in Mossy Meadow.
I cut the trees out with their matching dies in the Stitched Triangle Dies.
I adhered the flower-strewn tree at the top with Liquid Glue. Then I added the rest of the trees with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.
I tied a little bow from Real Red 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim and adhered it to the top tree with a Glue Dot. Tip: the braided trim can be gently pulled apart to make it a little wider and…”lacier”!
I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the trees (and the middle of the poinsettias!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Tree Angle sentiment three times in Real Red on a Whisper White panel. In the corner I added the isosceles tree again – letting it spill off the corner of the panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Pear Pizzazz card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Tree Angle tree with Poinsettias on the front…
…and I pulled out some Heartwarming Hugs DSP for the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This little “flyover” Tree Angle set is deceptively easy to overlook. The sweet little tree images – with their old-fashioned decoration – should not be missed. Especially given that you can get the dies to cut them out -when you purchase the Stitched Triangles die set – either on its own or…better!…as part of a money-saving bundle with The Right Triangle stamp set! 🙂
I hope you like – and will pick this up for your Christmas cards!!

Finn Fan Fix
Finn missed me pretty bad, I guess. When I got home the other night, he acted like he hadn’t seen me in 4 months – not 4 days!
And then that evening….
Good thing we have a loooooong sofa!! 🙂

Such a pretty card! Love those trees and the colors are perfect. Poor Finn, he was all worn out from the two hours of leaping to say welcome home. 4 hours, 4 days, 4 months…it’s all the same to him. 😉
Yep – time means nothing. There’s “Mom’s here” and “Mom’s not here!” times! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
You are to be commended for your eating/exercising discipline! I need to do that…maybe next year, which is just around the corner. I love the manner in which you interpreted the sketch. Your card is pretty and unique.
It’s fear – not so much discipline! I am terrified of getting back where I was!! 😳😳😳 Thanks very much, Karen! 🙂
