Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s Hop is a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop!

I pulled out a little linen-look Woven Threads DSP and the Very Versailles stamp set to create today’s vintage-y thank-you card.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I started with a piece of Woven Threads DSP – doesn’t it look like a piece of linen fabric??! – and stamped the wonderful script image from Very Versailles in Sahara Sand in two corners.  Over the top, I added the leaves image – one of the prettiest I’ve seen! – in Pretty Peacock.

Then I cut the middle out with a new Stitched Nested Labels Die.

On the cut-out piece, I used Versamark to stamp the frame image from Very Versailles.  Then I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I popped the piece back into its spot with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I punched out a Pretty Peacock 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle and adhered it over the embossed frame with Liquid Glue.

On another little piece of the same Woven Threads DSP, I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock and cut it with my 1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.  Then I popped it over the Pretty Peacock scalloped mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Glue Dots to adhere a couple of leaves from the Bird Ballad Trinkets and a Linen Thread double-loop bow – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used more Woven Threads DSP for my inner panel, first stamping a second Very Versailles sentiment in Pretty Peacock.  I added the script image in stamped-off-once Sahara Sand and leaves in stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into my Sahara Sand card base, popped the card base on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the stamped-off-once Sahara Sand script and stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock leaves on the front…

…and on the envelope flap I added more Woven Threads DSP and some leaves (yes – I really LOVE this image!)…

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all – how wonderful are the images in this Very Versailles stamp set??  And they’re perfectly perfect for adding to the beautiful papers in the Woven Threads DSP!  I hope you like!

This is stunning! I want that paper but when I went to the website it says it does not exist, either by name or by order number. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much, Patti! The bad news is, though, that this paper is retired. It was from an earlier catalog and it went away when the catalog did! 🙁 I’m so sorry!
