Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed Very Versailles for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided to use a little of the Best Dressed DSP for this one, and I paired it up with the pretty Very Versailles set from the Annual Catalog.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our color challenge!

I started with an Old Olive design from the Best Dressed DSP pack and used the leaves and handwriting stamps in the Very Versailles stamp set to stamp the images multiple times on the panel.  Then I matted it on Purple Posy for the card front.

For the flower – I pulled out the Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper and carefully snipped out the dandelion.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

I cut a strip of the paper from an edge – it’s so shimmery and pretty! – and stamped a Very Versailles sentiment onto it in Blackberry Bliss ink.

I snipped a banner end on the right side and popped the banner onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a Bird Ballad Trinket with a Glue Dot, then added a little Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine bow.  A couple three small Purple Posy 2019-2021 Faceted Dots finished off the card front.  🙂

On the inside, I added a second Very Versailles sentiment in Blackberry Bliss to a Very Vanilla panel.  I added Old Olive leaves and handwriting and a Purple Posy Faceted Dot.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Purple Posy mat and into my Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more of the Very Versailles images in Old Olive on the front…

…and more Best Dressed DSP on the envelope flap (complete with some leaves and handwriting!).

Et Voila!  The Very Versailles stamp set is so pretty – that fall of leaves is wonderful, especially paired with the pretty script handwriting image and sentiments.  I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Versailles Gathered Leaves and Boughs

Good morning!  By the time you read this – Finn, Wayne and I’ll be headed to NC to winterize our RV trailer – it’s Wayne’s “home away from home” when he goes to work on the rental house.  Since Father Winter is looming down and the freeze warnings are flying around – seemed like a good time to be sure it was ready to get thru winter without frozen….anything! 🙂

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see some of the techniques we played with – and the card we put together….here’s the replay!

I used die cuts from the Gathered Leaves AND Beautiful Boughs sets and a fun “napkin” coloring technique.  The “watercolored” die cuts were paired up with the Very Versailles stamp set (from the Annual Catalog) and a little Come to Gather DSP.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s Hop is a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop!

I pulled out a little linen-look Woven Threads DSP and the Very Versailles stamp set to create today’s vintage-y thank-you card.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I started with a piece of Woven Threads DSP – doesn’t it look like a piece of linen fabric??! – and stamped the wonderful script image from Very Versailles in Sahara Sand in two corners.  Over the top, I added the leaves image – one of the prettiest I’ve seen! – in Pretty Peacock.

Then I cut the middle out with a new Stitched Nested Labels Die.

On the cut-out piece, I used Versamark to stamp the frame image from Very Versailles.  Then I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I popped the piece back into its spot with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I punched out a Pretty Peacock 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle and adhered it over the embossed frame with Liquid Glue.

On another little piece of the same Woven Threads DSP, I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock and cut it with my 1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.  Then I popped it over the Pretty Peacock scalloped mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Glue Dots to adhere a couple of leaves from the Bird Ballad Trinkets and a Linen Thread double-loop bow – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used more Woven Threads DSP for my inner panel, first stamping a second Very Versailles sentiment in Pretty Peacock.  I added the script image in stamped-off-once Sahara Sand and leaves in stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into my Sahara Sand card base, popped the card base on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the stamped-off-once Sahara Sand script and stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock leaves on the front…

…and on the envelope flap I added more Woven Threads DSP and some leaves (yes – I really LOVE this image!)…

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all – how wonderful are the images in this Very Versailles stamp set??  And they’re perfectly perfect for adding to the beautiful papers in the Woven Threads DSP!  I hope you like!
