Good morning, y’all – happy Monday! By the time you read this I’ll be at the airport. Hopefully. Or…I’ll still be asleep cuz my flight was cancelled! As I type this on Sunday evening – my bags are pretty much packed and…I’m planning to get up at the crack-of-crazy to give it a shot to fly to Las Vegas for BackStage!! Fingers crossed!
My card today is super easy – and pulls out a couple of oldies-but-goodies – one of my faves, the Textured Notes stamp set and – one of EVERYONE’s faves – the Country Woods DSP. I added a little texture from the new Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder – take a look-see:
This layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by embossing a panel of Country Woods DSP in the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder. Using a craft sander, I lightly sanded the raised sections of the embossed image to make them a little more visible.
Then I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat to create the card front. I adhered the card front to the front of a Basic Beige card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped the circular rattan image from Textured Notes in Pecan Pie ink. Then I cut it out with the third-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die.
I used the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a second Basic Beige circle.
I stamped the smaller leaf image from Textured Notes twice on the die cut circle in Mossy Meadow ink – without re-inking between the stamps. Using the Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend and striking the brush end on an acrylic block – I added ink splatters to the die cut.
I adhered the stamped circle to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using Stampin’ Seal +, I adhered a loop-d-loop “bow” from a length of Irregular Weave 3/8″ Trim to the smaller (stamped) circle. Then I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped a Textured Notes sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on a piece Basic Beige cardstock and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.
I adhered the sentiment with Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals, added some Flower Accents – and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Textured Notes sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink to a Basic Beige panel. In the corner, I stamped the smaller leaf image twice in Mossy Meadow – again not re-inking between stamps. I added splatters with the Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Beige card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Textured Notes leaves in Mossy Meadow – and Pecan Pie splatters – on the front…
…and more Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Textured Notes stamp set and Country Woods DSP aren’t faves for nothin’! They’re gorgeous – and sooo versatile! I love the sentiments – the fonts are beautiful – and the organic images. And the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder is WAAAY more than a “Christmas” folder – it’s foliage works for your projects year-round! 🙂
I hope you like!

A great card. That design would be great with any of the papers in that DSP collection.
