Happy happy FriYAY, y’all! Hope that you’ve had a good week and have something fun planned for the weekend! We’ll be getting some errands done – getting fresh food back that I’d depleted before we left. Got to get the sourdough starter waked up, too, so that I can make some bread, too! Back to doing the things!!
Today’s card is a sweet thank you card with a sneak peek at the new Botanical Expressions bundle and Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders – both coming on 1 July in our new Online Exclusives! I pulled out the Nature’s Symphony bundle, too! Take a look-see:
This card works perfectly for The Paper Players challenge this week.
I started by embossing the darker side of a 3 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Cajun Craze Two-Toned Cardstock in the fall-leaves folder from the new Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders (available on 1 July).
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the front of a Pecan Pie card base.
From one side of a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I cut out the pretty leaves using the new Botanical Expressions die (bundled with a great sentiment stamp set and available on 1 July).
I used a sticky note to mask off the die cut section, and stamped the small Nature’s Symphony image all over it in Pretty Peacock ink. Note: I adjusted the mask and stamped the narrow right strip of the panel, too.
I masked off the stamped areas of the card front and, using the brush end of my Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend, struck the side of an Acrylic Block to add splatters of ink on the leaves.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel over the embossed panel on the front of the card base.
Using the die in the Nature’s Symphony set, I cut out a Pecan Pie “board” and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue. Then I tied a bow from two lengths of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped the Botanical Expressions sentiment in Cajun Craze ink.
I adhered the sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I added some Cajun Craze Earthy Matte Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Botanical Expressions sentiment in Cajun Craze ink on a Basic Beige panel. In the corners, I stamped the Nature’s Symphony leaves in Pretty Peacock ink. Using the bullet end of the Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend, I added little doodle-dots around the leaves. Note: I forgot to do this in the video but…added it in afterwards. Don’t skip this – I think it really adds a little sumpin’-sumpin’ to the card! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Pecan Pie card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Nature’s Symphony foliage and doodle-dots on the front…
…and then I embossed more of the Cajun Craze Two-Toned Cardstock in the leaves folder from the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders and used it for the envelope flap.
Et Voila! There’s only one die in the Botanical Expressions bundle but…it’s really cool and adds a quick touch of fun to your projects! Add a sentiment from the bundled stamp set to get your message across! And – some foliage and a fun die cut from the Nature’s Symphony is a great addition to any of your projects!
