Stampin’ Up! Painterly Textured Notes Thank You Card

Good morning and happy Monday!  Hope you’ve got a great week ahead of you!

My thank you card today is ALL about the Painterly Pears DSP.  I mean…I used some Textured Notes – for sentiments, die cuts, pretty leaves – but…the DSP is the Big Star! Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

This one is ALSO quick and easy – BONUS!

I started by tearing the top of a piece of Mossy Meadow Two-Toned Cardstock and then adhering it to the bottom of a panel of Secret Sea Painterly Pears DSP.  I tore the top of a much narrower piece of Petal Pink Two-Toned Cardstock and slid it under the Mossy Meadow piece – securing it with Liquid Glue.

I matted the whole panel on Darling Duckling cardstock for the card front.

Using the second-from-largest Textured Notes die, I cut my fave fave fave paper from the Painterly Pears DSP.

I wrapped Linen Thread around the panel a couple times, securing it in back with Glue Dots.  Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of the Petal Pink Two-Toned Cardstock, I stamped the Textured Notes sentiment in Secret Sea ink.  I cut it out with the smallest Textured Notes rectangle die.

I popped the sentiment over the Linen Thread with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I using two lengths of Linen Thread, I tied a bow around the wrapped thread on the card front.

I added five clear gems from the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems and the card front was done!

In the corner of a Basic White panel, I stamped the large leaf from Textured Notes in Secret Sea.  I also stamped the smaller leaf in Mossy Meadow – stamping it twice without re-inking.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Secret Sea card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Secret Sea and Mossy Meadow leaf images on the front…

…and more Painterly Pears DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This card is a great example of NOT staying within a suite of products!  I wanted to use the Painterly Pears DSP – cuz…hello?!  It’s gorgeous!  And I loved the addition of the simple thank you sentiments from Textured Notes – and..,the die set is…the bomb AND the diggity!! 🙂

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS COMING UP!

The 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday season begins this weekend and there are twelve states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, South Caroling, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia) offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July and August. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.”  Click the table below to open the chart and see what is available and when! 🙂

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period to receive these items tax-free. Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

For all y’all that live in Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Wisconsin…sorry!  Those states suspended the sales tax holiday again this year. 🙁

Even with our fundraiser ended – there remains a huge need!  Greater Good, Mercury One, Samaritans Purse, Mission Mules – all doing God’s work.

And – there’s still a need for homes for pets.

The local Kerrville animal shelter is actively seeking folks who would be willing and able to adopt pets who have become parent-less as a result of the flooding.  So sad.  If it’s in your heart and you are able – here’s a link for you.
