Good morning and happy Friday, y’all! I hope your week has gone well. I’ve been busy in my disaster area trying to catch up on sorting and organizing – and I’m starting to get a handle on it! I got my stamp and die set labels all made so…that’s a buge help! If you like them, too – I’ll have them up in my Store soon! That’s also where you can find all my retired products, too! 🙂
Today’s clean and simple card features a pretty Coneflower Celebrations flower and butterfly – plus some Forever Plaid 3D Embossing! Take a look-see:
I played along with The Paper Players this week!
I started by stamping the big Coneflower Celebrations flower, two leaves, and the butterfly in Pecan Pie ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
I used a Blender Pen to color the flower – I first used Timid Tiger near the tops of the leaves and Darling Duckling on the lower portion. I used Pecan Pie ink for the flower center. For the leaves – I used Garden Green and Granny Apple Green inks.
To color the butterfly, I used a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush as a paintbrush and colored it with Blackberry Bliss and Azure Afternoon inks.
Then I used the dies in the Coneflower Celebrations set to cut out all the images.
I used the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die to cut out a Basic White card front. I stamped the Coneflower Celebrations stem in Pecan Pie ink – and a sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink. Then I colored the stem with Garden Green ink and the Blender Pen.
I embossed the panel in the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.
Using the largest Perennial Postage die – I cut out an Azure Afternoon mat, which I adhered to the front of my Thick Basic White card base using Liquid Glue. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the embossed card front in place.
I adhered the die cut Coneflower in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the leaves – I used a Dimensional under the larger part of the leaf – and a little Liquid Glue at the base to adhere them.
Finally, I adhered the die cut butterfly to the top of the flower with Liquid Glue (and a Dimensional or two under it to support it).
I added some Holographic Resin Dots – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Azure Afternoon on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the Coneflower in Pecan Pie ink and colored it with the Blender Pen in Pecan Pie, Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling inks.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Coneflower on the front…
…and the butterfly on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love coneflowers – and this Coneflower Celebrations bundle will let me (and you!!) create beautiful flowers in all the colors! As well as the jewels of the garden – butterflies!! What a pretty, summery card, huh?
I hope you like!
