  1. Amy Koenders

Looking forward to your video tonight! Little miss looks pretty good to me! Much better in the “after” picture than the before. And I suspect that she’s happier not being all matted too! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it IS better than the before pic – although TBH that’s a pretty low bar!! LOL!!

  2. Darla S

Cornstarch!……helps “detangle” mats 😉 And she looks pretty cute! I bet she feels better too. Yep, there’s a good reason why we love our groomer. (also, any reviews of the new stamp positioner?)

    • stampsnlingers

Hey Darla – we used Show Sheen – we have lots of it for horse manes and tails and it works great! Thanks!

  3. Mary Katherine Knipp

She sure looks a lot better, and sassier.
Bless your husband’s heart for getting the mats out.
Maybe, he could be the “groomer”?

    • stampsnlingers

Maybe! He’s got the yellow pants for it, for sure! LOL!

      • Gerri K

Sorry, don’t know why I called her Maddie (my niece’s dog’s name). I meant Addy. Still adorable!

      • stampsnlingers

She doesn’t mind what anyone calls her – as long as it’s not late for dinner! LOL! Thanks, Gerri! 🙂

  4. Gerri K

Aww, I think Maddie looks great! Maybe not as perfect as a professional groomer but pretty darn good. She’s a cutie!!

    • stampsnlingers

She is a sweetie and a cutie, for sure. She was very patient with us!! 🙂

  5. Beth

She looks great. More importantly prob feels so good.
Must be a lightweight body suit she can wear in the wild😘

    • stampsnlingers

Yeah – she’s got a pretty good pep in her step now – lots cooler! Thanks, Beth! 🙂

  6. Sandra Magyar

I’m sure Addy feels a lot better and cooler too! A cute girl. I keep my little girl shaved down except for a little skirt they leave. She’s cute too.
    Sandy

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Sandy! I think an all over close clip will be the way we go!! Give your cutie a pet for me! 🙂

  7. Bonnie Kasjaka

I think Mattie looks better with her hair short. She’s much prettier with short hair.
You could save money by not sending her to the groomers and spend that money on more Stampin’ Up, lol.

    • stampsnlingers

Oh no – once she’s not matted she’s got to go to someone who has a tall table – that makes it easy reach her – AND know what he’s doing! My back can’t handle doing that every month!LOL!! Thanks for the kind words – I’ll pass your compliment to her! 🙂

  8. Amy Koenders

Such an awesome card! Love that Adirondack chair and the background papers are amazing!!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Amy – I thought you might like this one! 😉

  9. Bonnie Kasjaka

That’s a beautiful picture of Finn. Gorgeous looking dog!

  10. Amy Koenders

Pretty card Mary! Love the layering! There is no way that I could have cut that oval so nicely! 😂 Good thing that Finn is there to finish up…cleaning that grill is a big job for a little one! 😉

    • stampsnlingers

LOL! Yes you could!! :). Thanks, Amy – and yup. A girl’s gotta know her limits! 🙂

  11. Mary Katherine Knipp

    Best friends, forever!

    • stampsnlingers

Yup – but…he’ll deny it for just as long!! LOL!

  12. What a lovely card you’ve crated, Mary! It has a wonderful old fashioned look to it. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls!

  13. What a beautiful card! I just love those pretty flowers and that fun colour combination! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

    • stampsnlingers

      Thank you, Jen – it’s a great stamp!! 🙂

  14. what a regal Peacock she is! Love your coloring!

  15. Amy Koenders

Such a great card! Love the fun fold design and the awesome lighthouse sunset scene! 🙂

  16. Your design feels classic and refined, Mary. The oval frame and vine details work together beautifully to showcase the flowers. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Bobby! I appreciate the kind words! 🙂

  17. Amy Koenders

Such a pretty card! Love the layering and that paper is beautiful! Poor Finn…he can’t even get a little chewing done without getting caught on camera! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – the papps are EVERYwhere!! LOL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  18. Amy Koenders

Such a cute card! Love the fun background with the little bandaids! Sweet!

  19. Oh, Mary this is so cute:) I love how you did the background with the band aids too. Just when I convince myself I don’t need a set, you come up with an awesome card using it.

    • stampsnlingers

Aww – thanks! It’s kind of a fun little bundle! 🙂

  20. Amy Koenders

Such a pretty card! Love the fun fold design and the paper that you’ve used is perfect! I’m sure that Finn and Addy set of the intruder alarms once they pony alerted them…hopefully the visitors stuck around for a bit! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

LOL – Addy never did see them. Finn saw them but minded when I told him to leave it. So…the deer meandered around until I led Cady out – then they just meandered a little faster out into the pasture!! They’re not all that scared of me – and they run from Finn as a…nod to his “scariness”! 🙂

  21. Sharon Coleman

Beautiful card, Mary. I enjoy your videos so much and have learned so much–using tweezers to position elements is a biggie for me and it’s made life so much simpler!

    • stampsnlingers

The tweezers ARE a game changer FOR SURE!! So glad you’re finding them helpful! Thank you so much! 🙂

  22. Pat C.

Absolutely gorgeous card, Mary! This bundle is due to arrive at my house tomorrow and you can be sure I’ll be CASEing your card!
Don’t ya just love wildlife?! So awesome.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – I really enjoy seeing the deer – and the turtles – and the birds! Thanks, Pat – have fun with that new bundle! 🙂

  23. Carol Kulik

Good morning Mary. Just got done reading about Wayne and Addy’s session regarding her nail issue.
If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion? Superglue should never be applied to an open wound or cut. There is a product called New Skin, which I have used for years. It is absolutely safe to use on an open wound or cut. The only drawback is it burns like the devil for the first couple minutes. Using superglue on an open wound can actually cause infection because of the chemical that’s in it. I don’t mean to be pushy, but I would hate to see something happen that is preventable. And on a sidenote, Wayne is such a good daddy. 💖

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Carol – I appreciate it! Wayne’s a died-in-the-wool proponent of Super Glue! And – to be quite honest – I doubt he actually GOT any on her nail. He’d never admit it but…I don’t think he could actually see what he was doing! The hand-holding was the most therapeutic part of the whole thing!! LOL!

  24. Amy Koenders

Looking forward to your live video tonight! It’s freezing here…so definitely no fishing for us today! Poor girl…glad that she got a little moral support from Finn and and little hand holding from Wayne. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Nothing beats having your hand held when you’re feeling punk!! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  25. Mary Katherine Knipp

Y’all are the best pet parents, ever.
    Blessings

  26. Amy Koenders

Such a pretty card! Love that paper so much, the colors and texture are amazing! The two puppies are definitely starving…I can’t believe that you only let them lick the leftovers. They should have each had their own! 😂

    • stampsnlingers

Well – I only took a picture of ONE of the bowls… 🤷‍♀️😂. Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

Thank you so much for giving the demensions for your cards, it is very helpful for me as a beginner.

  44. Amy Koenders

That kit is awesome!! Love the designs! And Finn is all fluffy and clean…I’m guessing that there is a 99.97% chance of rain (or at least having him find a puddle) today. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yup – no matter how far out of his way he needs to go!! LOL!

  45. Mary Katherine Knipp

Looks like he was strutting his stuff. Such a handsome
    young pup.
Ya know, maybe you should write a book. The adventures of Finn and Addy?
    just a thought.

    • stampsnlingers

One day! It IS on my list! Thanks, Mary Katherine! 🙂
