Hey y’all – happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well!
Yesterday, I showed you how the April 2025 Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin kit goes together “as expected”. Like…by the directions in the kit! Today – I want to share a wunnermus ALTERNATIVE card – created using pieces and parts of the Inked Occasions kit. It was made by my friend and CNCK team mate Beth Kist. Beth lives in Maryland and… she is a MASTER at using every single bit of a Paper Pumpkin kit. Take a look at this one!
I know! She picked my favorite die cut flowers from the kit! Remember this card?
Here’s how to make it!
– Cut the Pool Party and Berry Burst gold framed card base at the score line to give you two panels.
– Use a Paper Trimmer to cut the back piece (aka – the one WITHOUT the gold frame) down to 4 1/8′ x 5 3/8”.
– Use the Paper Trimmer to cut that gorgeous flower die cut down to 4 1/8” wide.
– You’ll have a left-over piece of the die cut – use Paper Snips to fussy cut a few leaves apart from that.
– Use Liquid Glue to adhere the larger flower die cut to the bottom of the 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ card panel.
– Stamp your choice of sentiment and the butterflies in Berry Burst ink.
– Use Liquid Glue to adhere the card front to the front of a Berry Burst card base. Done!
For the inside of the card:
– Use Liquid Glue to adhere those leftover flowers on the right side of 4 x 5 1⁄4” Basic White panel.
– Use Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Berry Burst card base and the card is done!
And – the Paper Pumpkin kit has those wonderfully decorated envelopes so…you’re ready to roll!
Et Voila! I confess – I have a mental block when it comes to kits. Whatever they’re MEANT to be…is what I do! But Beth – and a LOT of folks out there – love love LOVE getting creative and crafty with the elements in the kits. Perhaps that’s YOU, too!
