Good morning, y’all! Hope you had a good 4th of July – and a relatively quiet night! I gave the dogs a little Easy-Dog before it got too dark last night and…they did okay with the fireworks. And Cady was in her bedroom looooooong before they started. So – we made it thru night-one. I am CERTAIN there will be more tonight! 🤷♀️

Yesterday, as has been sort of the norm, my friend Sally came up to spend the afternoon with us. She’s been in our lives, and part of our family, since…I was in college and…you know I’ve mentioned her before. She’s my sister-from-another-mother. And she loves my Mom as I do. So it’s been great that she’s been able to come up each week!
Before we had our bison tacos, I enlisted her to help me make some birthday cards. I’d had Wayne stick my Loveliest Wishes kit – and the Essential Occasions kit – in the truck when he came. So I was ready to go!
About thirty minutes later – we had the Loveliest Wishes kit done – and I had nine pretty birthday cards ready to send.

Yesterday, I showed you how the April 2025 Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin kit goes together “as expected”. Like…by the directions in the kit! Today – I want to share a wunnermus ALTERNATIVE card – created using pieces and parts of the Inked Occasions kit. It was made by my friend and CNCK team mate Beth Kist. Beth lives in Maryland and… she is a MASTER at using every single bit of a Paper Pumpkin kit. Take a look at this one!

Now – sitting at home in Georgia – is my box with my three Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin kits. 🙁 So – I asked my friend Amy Koenders if she’d share photos of her assembled cards with me – and she did (she’s awesome like that!)! Once I saw them – I really REALLY wished I had my boxes here – cuz…this kit makes gorgeous cards!!

So – if someone asked me “what is the best thing about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?” – what do you think I’d answer?
The fun stamping tools, pretty papers, perfectly coordinated colors? Well – those are great but…nope.
The discount? Awesome – yes. The best thing? Nope.
How about…getting to see AND order new goodies and products early?
Hmm….well….nope!
So – what is it?
It’s the people. The customers who have become friends – people I’d never have “met” (Virtually or otherwise) – without Stampin’ Up! My team mates – the folks who decided to join Stampin’ Up! and did it with me – becoming part of my Stampin’ Up! family.
100% – the people that I call friends – who I know BECAUSE of Stampin’ Up! – is THE best part.
Case in point. As I am here with my Mom in Colorado – I’ve had team mates make cards for me to blog to share with you – because I can’t and they know that it’s important to me.
I get e-mails, texts and FB messages nearly every day – just touching base, asking how I am, asking if we need anything.
My mom and I have received cards in the mail – these are people who don’t know my mom at all – but because they know ME – they’ve taken the time to make and send HER a beautiful, hand-made card.
Like these.
