Stampin’ UP! Faith & Nests of Winter Thinking of You Card

Good morning and Happy Monday!  Hope that your week is fixin’ to be a good one!

My card today is one meant to send encouragement and words of support to someone who needs to hear them!  The pretty Faith Collection bundle and the Nests of Winter DSP (both are Online Exclusives) worked hand in hand to make a card that I think will do the trick!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by embossing a piece of Copper Clay cardstock in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and then adhering it to a Pretty Peacock mat for the card front.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered three strips of Nests of Winter DSP on a Copper Clay mat and then adhered that to the bottom of the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the large cross image from the Faith Collection set in Lost Lagoon and the frond image four times in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I cut it all out with the coordinating dies.

I adhered the large cross to the card front with Liquid Glue – and added the four die cut leaves as well.

Using the two cross dies in the bundled Faith Collection dies, I cut out a Copper Clay cardstock detailed Cross and a coppery solid Cross from Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.  I adhered the detailed die cut to the solid one with Liquid Glue – and then adhered it to the card front with more Liquid Glue.

I tied a Double-Loop Linen Thread bow and adhered it to the Cross with Liquid Glue.  Note: if you’d like to see a quick video on how to tie the Double Loop Linen Thread Bow – check this out here!

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Faith Collection sentiment in Copper Clay ink and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner die.

It took a TRIPLE-stack of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the Linen Thread bow!  Then I added five Copper Clay Earth Tones Shimmer Gems and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Faith Collection sentiment in Copper Clay on a Basic White panel.  Over the top I stamped the frond image in Lost Lagoon ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Lost Lagoon card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Lost Lagoon Faith Collection frond on the front…

…and more of the Nests of Winter DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think the Faith Collection bundle is one of the prettiest Religious sets that we’ve had – I love the size of the Cross – and the two die cuts that make it up.  And the sentiments range from Easter to Encouragement!  Nests of Winter DSP is just gorgeous – this wood-grain paper is one of my all-time favorites!

So pretty Mary! The colors and layering are perfect, love your design! Nothing better than looking pretty after going to the groomer…it only lasts about 30 seconds at our house. The first trip outside changes everything! 😂

Yes – it’s VERY hard to stay EXTRA bootiful when you’re a boy farm dog! There’s the mud – and the stickers – and the….other stuff! :). Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Beautifully layered design full of great texture! Thanks for playing along with us at FMS this week.
