Good morning and happy Sunday! We decided not to go down to Bowen’s birthday party today – just too far and it would have put us back really late for pony and Finny dinners. I’ll miss seeing them but…🤷♀️ Maybe Year TWO! 🙂
My card today is one that you could use for a kid – or a kid-at-heart! It features a sweet Darling Dino frolicking thru a Toadstool Garden! And she’s just too cute! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.
I started by adhering a piece of Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP on a Fresh Freesia mat for the card front. Remember – this cute designer series paper can be yours for FREE with a $60 purchase during Sale-A-Bration 2025 – which runs thru the end of February!
Then I matted a SECOND design from the pack – also on Fresh Freesia – and adhered it to the card front with more Liquid Glue.
Using the second-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out two circles from the same wood-grain paper that I’d used on the card front. I adhered them to the top and bottom of the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Basic White circle.
On the white circle, I stamped the grass image from Darling Dinos a few times in Granny Apple Green ink. Then I adhered the circle to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Darling Dinos flowers (3), the dino, a rock and the little bow in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I used Stampin’ Blends to color everything:
– Dark Gray Granite for the rocks
– Light & Dark Fresh Freesia for the dino, Dark Petunia Pop for her toenails and spots, Light Gray Granite for her horns
– Dark Pretty in Pink for her bow
– Dark Pretty in Pink, Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green for the flowers
I used the coordinating dies in the bundled set to cut out all the things!
Using the die from the set – it can be a cloud or it can be grass! – I cut out one from Granny Apple Green cardstock and one from the Toadstool Gardens DSP. I stamped both of them with the stems image from the Darling Dinos set in Pebbled Path ink.
I adhered the Granny Apple Green grass and the three flowers with Liquid Glue.
The rest of the elements are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals – even her bow! 🙂
On a strip of Basic White, I stamped the Darling Dinos sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink. Then I snipped banner ends with my Paper Snips and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals under the right end of the banner.
I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Darling Dinos flowers a few times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them with the Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Pretty in Pink and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. Then I stamped the grass a few times in Granny Apple Green and added a small Brushed Brass Butterfly.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to my Pebbled Path card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Darling Dinos flowers and grass on the front…
…and more of the wunnermusly cute Toadstool Gardens DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Okay – yes. This is not my usual kind of bundle – but… as I stamped and colored and die cut – I sorta fell in love with the Darling Dinos! The three main characters are adorable – and all the accessories and landscaping (images AND dies!) makes for some really cute cards!! And – when you pair it up with the FREE Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP (truly one of my fave DSPs EVER!) – you’ve got a jungle-y, pre-historic winner!! 🙂

Australian Shepherds are fun loving.
But…also…Work-oriented. Thoughtful. Perceptive. Serious-minded.
Bwahahahahahaaa!!
Nope – they’re totally just fun goof-balls who make everything….a picture-and-a-half!
Tongues can really have a mind of their own – maybe you’ve noticed that about YOUR tongue when YOU’VE got an itch.
No?
Well – next time you DO – pay attention to what your tongue is doing.
Then you’ll understand!

Such a cute card! Love the little girl dinosaur, perfect bow to top off her “hair”. And sometimes when you have an itch in just such a spot that can only be reached by bending just so…your tongue does accidentally sneak out the side. 😉
Tongues can be slippery devils – that’s for sure! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
Cute Dino – I love the colors of this card.
Thanks, Nel! 🙂
Mary, this is a very cute card! Love how you used the HSS sketch. Thanks for joining us this round. Cheers, Jolanda – DT
Thanks very much, Jolanda – appreciate the kind words! 🙂
