Good morning! Happy new week – the last week in January! We had a great time yesterday – it was a surprise baby shower for Courtney and so we got to spend some time with them. We had too much food – fun games (I won NONE of them!) – and Jules had a heckuva good time with the balloons!! She’s just growing like crazy – and…is excited to be a big sister!
My card for today is a fruity little number – quick and easy – with some Fruit Salad 6″ x 6″ DSP setting the stage for a Pick a Season tree and a Day to Celebrate sentiment! They all have something fun in common – they’re ALL FREE (with purchase) during the Jan-Feb 2025 Sale-A-Bration! It all came together for a fun Birthday Card! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering an apple-y piece of Fruit Salad 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Real Red card base using Liquid Glue. Fruit Salad DSP is one of the items that you could select for FREE with a $60 purchase during Sale-A-Bration!
On a 3 1/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Pick a Season tree trunk in Pecan Pie ink. Pick a Season is ALSO free with a $60 purchase during SAB!
I stamped the grass a few times in Granny Apple Green and the picket fence three times in Early Espresso.
Then I stamped the leafy tree top in Garden Green and added apples – well, hearts! – in Real Red!
I stamped the sentiment from Day to Celebrate in Real Red. Day to Celebrate is the final FREEBIE on this card! 🙂
I matted the panel on Pecan Pie cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using little dots of Liquid Glue, I adhered three Tiny Bee Trinkets and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the hearts three times in Real Red in the corner of a Basic White panel, Then I stamped the little leaf image – also from Pick a Season – in Garden Green ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Real Red card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Pick a Season hearts and leaves on the front…
…and more Fruit Salad 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! How fun is the Fruit Salad 6″ x 6″ DSP? I love all the fruity images – they look good enough to eat! And the apple/hearts in Pick a Season work perfectly with it, don’t you think!? Of course there are other images in the set – you can change up the theme/season as you like! But – you WILL want a sentiment and the Day to Celebrate set is a great choice! And – since all THREE of these goodies are free – with a $60 purchase – then…that’s the icing on the apple pie! 🙂
