Stampin’ UP! Otterly Adorable & Amazing Card with Video Tutorial

Happy Sunday, y’all!  The rain came as promised but at least it’s warmish for a minute.  Next week looks chilly – looks like it’s going to be a cold booger for the Inauguration on Monday, too!  If you’re attending – I’m a little jelly! – stay warm and safe!

My card today is another one with the sweet Online Exclusive Otterly Amazing bundle and coordinating Otterly Adorable DSP.  And…a little bit of sparkly Pastel Ombre Glimmer Specialty Paper!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge.

I started by cutting the fish from the bottom corner of a piece of the sweet Otterly Adorable DSP, then I adhered the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat using Liquid Glue.

Now – I COULD have left it right there – with Pretty Peacock fishes swimming across the panel – but…it’s me, so…I used the little fish die again to cut out some shiny fish from the Lemon Lime Twist end of a piece of Pastel Ombre Glimmer Specialty Paper.  Then I used little dabs of Liquid glue to adhere them into their little fishy spots!

I matted a narrow strip of the Otterly Adorable DSP on Pretty Peacock cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the next-to-smallest square Stylish Shapes die – I cut out two seaweed-and-fishes Otterly Adorable DSP squares.  I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue – tipping them into diamonds.

Using the die in the Otterly Amazing die set, I cut out the cuddling otters from one of the pieces of Otterly Adorable DSP.  I REALLY love when SU gives us dies that cut out DSP images, don’t you?!

Using the second-from-largest square Stylish Shapes die, I cut out another piece of the DSP – this one a Balmy Blue “water” design.

Using the die cut Otters set in place as a guide, I stamped the little grass image from the Otterly Amazing set a few times in Old Olive and again in Garden Green.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the larger diamond over the top of the two smaller ones already on the card front.  Then I popped the otters over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock on Basic White, cut with the Stylish Shapes banner die and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Adhesive-backed Heart Sequins and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Otterly Amazing sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I added the grasses in Old Olive and Garden Green, and then a little school of Lemon Lime Twist fishies!! I thought another Adhesive-backed Heart Sequin by the sentiment was needed, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Calypso Coral card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the grasses and fish on the front…

…and more of the Otterly Adorable DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  There’s little doubt that the Otterly Adorable DSP otters are, in fact, totally adorable!  And the fact that you can cut them – plus STAMPED images, too! – out with the dies in the coordinating Otterly Amazing bundle is just icing on the cake!  This whole suite of goodies is wonderful and they’re all Online Exclusives – so…check for them in the Online Store!!
