Good morning and Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well! Do you have your Halloween decorations up? We never decorate cuz….no one can see our place from the road – and we for SURE never have trick-or-treaters!! Finn’s pretty happy about that, really. Can you IMAGINE?! BarkBarkBark – WagWagWag-BarkBarkBark-WagWagWag….all night long! Poor guy!
My card today is NOT a Halloween card – instead, it’s a thank you card with a Sneaky Peek at a new Online Exclusive product coming to you on 5 Nov 2024! Or – now, if you’re a demonstrator. The layout for this one was inspired by the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge this week.
I started by doing some scoring on a Basic White panel. With the score blade on the Paper Trimmer, I added score lines at 1/4″ and 1/2″ on all four sides of the card front.
Using the hatch-mark image in the new Happy Hibiscus set, I added it several times around the panel in full strength and stamped-off-once Crumb Cake ink.
Using the dies in the set, I cut out some Granny Apple Green and Old Olive leaves. I love how the dies add score lines as it cuts them! I also cut out a few Cajun Craze and Calypso Coral flowers.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the small die cut flowers together in two “stacks”.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the large floral image from the set in Petal Pink ink. I added the three fill images in stamped-off-once Calypso Coral and then used my Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend to color the centers and stamen of the flowers.
I placed the large die from the Happy Hibiscus set and the card stock panel into the Happy Hibiscus hybrid embossing folder and ran it all thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. That cut the flowers out AND embossed them all at the same time! Boom!
I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the two larger flowers and a few leaves to the card front.
Using a couple of Glue Dots, I added a couple of loops of new Gold Twisted Thread (coming new in the Online Exclusives on 5 Nov) in a sort of figure-8 (a bow with no knot in the middle!).
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Happy Hibiscus sentiment in Cajun Craze and cut it out with the fun circle die in the Happy Hibiscus die set. I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the bow.
I added the rest of the flowers and leaves with Liquid Glue and Dimensionals.
Then – I made flower centers with the small hearts from the new Adhesive-backed Heart Sequins (another new Online Exclusive product coming on 5 Nov!). I added a few more large hearts around the collage and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped just the large Happy Hibiscus flower in Petal Pink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I added the fill in stamped-off-once Calypso Coral and colored the stamen with the Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large Happy Hibiscus flower on the front…
…and again on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Well – you’ve got to be excited about this one! Even if Happy Hibiscus only had the pretty stamp set and dies that cut out all the flowers and the WUNNERMUS leaves! – it would be amazing! But – add in the presence of the hybrid embossing folder – which adds incredible texture and depth to the flowers WHILE you cut them out! – and now you’ve got BOOM-level coolness!
