Stampin’ Up! Caring Leaves Sneak Peek Thanks for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Fall Frenzy!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

There’s a sweet little stamp set in the new catalog, called Caring Leaves and…it’s very simple.  Four images.  Two sentiments.  But…so beautiful and full of promise!  So – I used it to make a pretty thank you card, pairing it with my favoritest paper pattern – the plaid in the new Snowy Scenes DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch at the TGIF Challenge this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started with that plaid from the Snowy Scenes DSP that I matted on Cajun Craze to create the card front.

I stamped the Caring Leaves sentiment on a Basic White panel in Cajun Craze ink.

Then I stamped both leaf outline images several times in Cajun Craze – letting them “fall” down the panel.

I colored the leaves with the two fill stamps – using the Baby Wipe Technique!

I folded a damp baby wipe and dropped Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink re-inker drops onto the folded wipe.  Note: you can see how to do this in the short video I did! 🙂

Using that baby wipe as my “ink pad” – I inked the fill images and stamped each of the leaves. Note: you’ll want to clean the stamp and move around on the “ink pad” each time, too.

To cut the panel into the three pieces, I placed the top edge of the panel at the 1 1/2″ mark on the Paper Trimmer and made the first cut.  Then I cut just “above” the sentiment for the final cut.  I adhered the three pieces to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Cajun Craze Linen Thread – from the Natural Tones Linen Thread Pack – and adhered the bow with a Glue Dot. I also added some Copper Clay Earth Tones Shimmer Gems (these two beauties are BOTH coming soon in the Sep – Dec 2024 Mini Catalog on 4 Sep).

I used the bullet end of the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker to add doodle-dots around the stamped leaves and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped one of the leaves from Caring Leaves in Cajun Craze on a Basic White panel – and stamped the fill image using that baby wipe “ink pad”.  I also added some more doodle-dots in Petal Pink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Caring Leaves leaf – and doodle-dots! – on the front…

…and more of the Snowy Scenes DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – I love this little set!  The Caring Leaves images are gorgoeus – and the two sentiments are just so sweet!  Make them simple like I’ve done – or bling it up (like you KNOW I will at some point!).

And – Snowy Scenes DSP.  How fun is this paper – and that plaid!?  LOVE.  I’ll take a whole PACK of that, please!
