Happy half-way thru the weekend, y’all! Hope it’s going well so far. We’re just doing the things – the winds been blowing a gale – the typical post-storm-front bluster so a lot of “the things” are inside!
My card today is a Sympathy card – don’t need one right this second but..it feels like it’s just a matter of time, right? And the new Unbounded Love stamp set has so many wonderful sentiments – including the ones I used today! Pair it up with the coordinating Flowers of Beauty stamp set and dies and – the possibilities for wunnermus – and perfect-for-any-occasion – cards are almost endless! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the CASE the Designer challenge at the Global Design Project this week.
I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder for the card front. You can get this wonderful folder right now AND it’s carrying over into the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, too! Yeah!
Then I did some die cutting. I cut out some Basic White foliage using the two big dies in the Flowers of Beauty die set.
The small leaves – from Unbounded Love – are in Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green.
For the flowers – I stamped the outline image from Flowers of Beauty twice in Flirty Flamingo on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the fill image in stamped-off-once Flirty Flamingo ink. Then I cut them out with their coordinating die.
The frame die from the Unbounded Love cuts two pieces. First – you get the frame with the leaves – and then you have the negative piece (from the middle of the frame). I cut the frame twice – once from Garden Green and again in Basic White.
On the Basic White negative piece, I stamped a sentiment from Unbounded Love in Flirty Flamingo ink.
I placed the negative with the sentiment into the Garden Green frame and used Dimensionals on the back – to hold the two pieces together AND in preparation for adhering it to the card front.
Then it was time to make the collage. I trimmed some from the bottoms of the two large white die cuts (the ones from the Flowers of Beauty dies) and then adhered them – and some leaves – to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered the sentiment – in the frame – using those Dimensionals – and adhered the Garden Green leaf with Liquid Glue.
I tied a bow from two pieces of Crumb Cake and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I added the two die cut flowers using dimensionals – double-stacked where I needed them!
Finally, I added a few Flirty Flamingo Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Flirty Flamingo on a Basic White panel. In the corner I stamped a foliage image from Flowers of Beauty in Soft Sea Foam and the flowers image in Flirty Flamingo.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo flowers on the front…
…and I stamped the leaf image from the set in Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! How beautiful is this pair of bundles? With the images and foliage of the Flowers of Beauty bundle and the frames and sentiments from Unbounded Love – there’s so much you can create!
